Attention SERVICE REPS--Blackberry

I have a question, I am on old dealer plan that includes 3000 minutes, nights at 7, and unlimited web & msg and its priced at $0. I only pay taxes and insurance. I have a Sanyo Katana deluxe and wanted to upgrade to a blackberry curve. I obviously do not want to change this plan but wanted to know if I would have to add the blackberry service plan in order to use all the blackberry functions. I noticed that it is included on the current data plans. I know it has changed within the past couple of years so that is why I am confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Open Network

I have four lines with Verizon Wireless and I want to switch to Sprint. I called Saturday to ask when they are going to open the network so that I can port my numbers to Sprint AND use my existing phones. The telesales guy was like "You cannot use your phones but we can get you new phones..." Really? An 8330, an 8130, a 6900 and an LG-8100 (mom's phone which Sprint never carried) all for ZERO dollars? Because brother that is ALL I am willing to pay. Nada, zilch...absolutely nothing. So, I politely listened but then said no thanks because I already knew they aren't going to match what I have. But seriously, does anyone have any idea when Sprint is going to open their network up so that I can use my phones?

Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in

Well the last few posts have been less then constructive to the lively hood of Sprint. Thought I'd see what I could do to help out.
Although I would agree that they are by far not the best wireless carrier, I've actually had a decent experience with them.
I have the simply unlimited plan and since that means unlimited roaming, my service has been impeccable (thanks verizon). I mean common, I can do almost everything that their network allows as much as I want, and I do it cheaper then anyone else, how awesome is that?
They did mess up my billing once and that was a pain cuz I'm sure we all know the customer care reputation here...
Don't call customer service, get the simply unlimited plan, and you might actually like Sprint.

Where are all the phones?

Okay, I have to ask Mr Hesse where all of the phones are. VZ has released about 12 or 13 new phones since October and ATT has released almost 20 in the same time frame. And Sprint? Only 5? WTF? We see all of the commercials with Hesse hyping up the network but how about some more devices to take full advantage of the NOW network. How in the world does Sprint's management think they are going to come out of this rut when VZ and ATT are getting more and better devices? Am I the only one getting irritated by the poor handset selection 😡

BB 4.5 OS

Did this come out for sure with Sprint? I thought I read that it did, but I tried to download it and it was doing a backup, at first it gave me an error message to check my internet connection. I rebooted my computer and it said i'm running the up to date software. I checked the s/w version and it is still showing the old one.

I have the BB 8330 (Curve). Is this software update going to allow me to MMS to phone #s and not only email addresses? What are the major updates this is making with Sprint?

Thanks all

Sprint, Blackberry, EVDO Rv. A

That would be nice.
Any ideas if Sprint will be offering any EVDO Rv. A Blackberrys or if any of the current ones can be upgraded to the faster EVDO.

Nokia brick phone that will work on Sprint?

Hello!

My wife has an old 3588i that is slowly dying and she wants to get another Nokia brick phone.

I found this Nokia 2135 http://www.nokiausa.com/A4817222 that is CDMA 800/1900 and says it will work with MetroPCS and Brightpoint (who?).

Sprint sales cannot guarantee that the phone will activate.

Is there a way to tell if a particular model can be activated on Sprint's network without having an ESN to check ahead of time?

Thank you for helping!

Does any one know if Sprint is getting the Samsung Omnia? It looks so cool and is way better than the Touch Diamond.

Question for Corporate Store Reps/ Customer Care Reps

I was wondering if Sprint offers discounts for City of Houston employees. I know the Unlimited Everything plan is supposedly an already discounted plan but with taxes surcharges and fees the bill will come to about $130...and thats if you don't download anything. I want to keep my bill under $100 so I will go with a cheaper plan. Let me know. Thanks! 🙂

Qualcomm Leaving CDMA???

Not trying to bash on any other company but sprint has been cheap and reliable in my area. I just dont understand why the company decides to go with wimax. Since most carriers now are going GSM LTE. (hope im saying this right.) n e ways considering sprints reputation and deciding to go on with wimax, can they lose this major battle. if wimax fails i definitely see an end to the company i love. will verizon leave CDMA and start using the GSM network? will sprint be the only one with CDMA? i know its a different set of questions but i just had a lot on my mind about this.
