My Verizon
I can't register because it sees my number under an old 'My Verizon' account & account number.
Phone Exchange - 30 days - Dare to Storm or Curve.
I had the blackberry curve when I had us cellular and I used all the fetures.
I don't mind the touch screen and but don't know how well I would adapt to the SurePress Screen.
Is it so bad to get the curve even though its a few years old?
I want the NIAGRA but im totally douting that it will be out before april 30 2009.
Any Suggestions. Anything other I should check out (I do not like palm. Nothing wrong with it. It's just not my flavor.)
Verizon in Charlottesville in May!
Now, here's a strange...
What is the fascination of buying a dummy phone if you're not selling handsets and need something for a display? At the moment, no less than 8 Samsung Renown dummies are being sold on eBay. I sure wish someone would put up a new REAL Renown for sale. I'd like to buy one for a little less than full retail.
Synergies realized when?

Friends and Family Question
I know my plan qualifies, but as with all things that appear too good to be true π , I wanted to check to see if any strings are attached. π
1) Will I be giving up any of my current plans features for adding this on?
2) Will my contract be extended for making this modification?
Thanks in advance!
It's 2009 WTF is wrong with Verizon????????
In the interest of full disclosure...
I had to do it, the deal was too good, and as many of you know I get pretty much get zero coverage at home. And while the network extender helped, its just not the same as actually having access to verizon's fantastic network.
ATT is strong in my city and 3G is everywhere, I actually got a bold for my dad recently and his phone was getting 5 bars of 3G service at my home.
This is just a trial run, I haven't ported my number to ATT just yet, I just felt I owed it to myself to give them a shot. If I do port out, I will definitely be coming back t...

New phones
Samsung Smooth SCH-u350
First off, this phone now offers Bluetooth, Mobile Web 2.0, Media Center (Get It Now), front screen is color, 3 diffrent menu settings, VZ Nav (GPS), 32MB of phone memory, extreamly loud ringer which can be changed by user, All-Digital, nice solid feel.
This is a big upgrade from the u340. There is no EVDO 3G, but if you are looking for a good basic phone, this one is perfect. Call quality was good too.
Any questions?
What's worse?
Which is worse?
* Being eligible for an upgrade, but forcing yourself to refrain from using it because a nicer phone is coming out in a month or two.
Or
* A nice phone just came out, but you have to wait for 2 more months for your upgrade?
Right now, I'm in the first boat... I badly want a new BB, but the Niagara isn't out for another ~2 months. Luckily, I don't like touchscreens so I'm not worried too much about jumping on the Storm.
Questions regarding smartphone browsers
Thanks, in advance.

A couple of questions regarding LTE
1. When is Verizon likely to have LTE capable handsets, especially Blackberries and smart phones?
2. Except for streaming video and video conferencing, is LTE any real advantage over today's 3g capabilities? Will download speeds be significantly faster? It seems to me that one is not likely to be downloading large files to a phone where it is likely to make a significant difference.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
No More: "No Cool Phones" Posts, Please!
Geeez! People, it's 2009, and most phones these days can do things a PC couldn't do twenty years ago. What are you really needing in a phone anyway?
I think the REAL problem is that most people want phones tailor made to suit their own likings. Well guess what? The phone features you want may not be what someone else wants, and the dilemma that phone manufacturers and wireless companies face is combining things together in a way that will appeal to the broadest possible audience.
Maybe someday phones can be custom ordered like cars and furniture. You would be able to select the color, style and features you want, and delete...
