I have a lot of customers ask what's the benefit of buying direct from Verizon Wireless ( over the phone, in store, online; whichever it may be) opposed to indirect/authorized agents such as Best Buy, Walmart, Wirefly etc?

With this economy, I find it hard to explain why someone should buy a phone from me for $200 when Walmart has the same exact phone for $100 less. 👀

Any info would be appreciated to give.

looks like I'm stuck with Verizon for the foreseeable future, and looking to get new phones for the whole family around August time frame. daughter's going off to college and Verizon is the only provider with good service where she's going.

would like to get smartphones for me and my daughter, and a bulletproof ruggedized dumb phone for the wife (who has a knack for launching her phones into water, under trucks, down garbage disposals and the like...)

are there any Android based smartphones coming to verizon? ever? don't want a blackberry or windows phone. can't get an iPhone on Verizon ☹️

I have been looking at upgrading my phone, and I'm noticing that VZW doesn't offer much in the way of phones with WIFI - especially the Blackberrys. I've asked a few reps about this, and keep getting different answers. The last rep told me that it was because "VZW cares about it's customers, and since so many business people use BB, we don't want to put them at risk for getting hacked and having their info stolen." Umm... if that was such a concern, why would RIM even MAKE a WIFI BB?

So... does anyone have any ideas? I know there are a couple Samsungs, but are there any new WIFI phones coming out? Thanks!

If there are any Unicel users in Mississippi here, don't forget tomorrow is the converison date to turn off Unicel phones and cut on Verizon phones to make and recieve calls, text messages, and data usage.

A while back when I got a v710 for my girlfriend the sales rep tried to get me to initial a two year agreement thinking I would not read over the agreement and I would just initial. He was wrong I was so pissed how he tried to play me; (I grew up in the project in New Jersey and know when a dumb ass is trying to play me for a fool) I should of kick his ass. Anyway how much more money do reps make on a two year agreement compared to a one year agreement.

I have the real main problems for the 4 major cell phone companies. And dont worry gents, you can thank me later. 🙂

I have OS .65 on my Blackberry Storm. I have tried to use the wireless update feature under advanced options to upgrade to what I understand is the latest version (.75). Every time I have tried to use that feature it tells me no update is available. Any thoughts on how to actually get to the correct version.

I bought a Storm about 3 weeks ago and was wondering if I could call or go to the store and get the free Storm while signing a 2 year for a data plan even though it was 3 weeks ago. Also if I go pass the 30 days fouor the free Storm and realize that I do not need it what does it cost to cancel the service?

🤭 Okay, I'll NEVER say that I'm "educated" in the world of cell phones. So, I need some help. I want to upgrade and I'm 99% sure that it's going to be the Dare w/email. I am choosing between that & the Voyager. Now, what can a "smart phone" do that the Dare cannot? My husband doesn't want to pay for a smart phone data plan, and I was wondering if I would be missing out on anything that I might need or just love having. 🤨
My husband is a cheapo if it isn't something HE wants. Can someone just give me some "basic" differences?

My Palm Centro blew up today. Left for appointment & left BT headset at office. Used wired headset I keep in car as backup. When I unplugged the headset after that the phone would not work without it. Tried everything, including hard reset, but no luck getting phone to work again without using the wired headset. I'm mid-term in my contract, so unless I can talk my local VZW store into cutting some kind of deal I either have to buy a new phone or get a replacement Centro shipped out by VZW. I want a different phone as I really don't like the Centro. Don't really want Windows mobile phone, but will consider. Well that was short lived wasn't it? So I got suckered in by the free blackberry bold on ATT, and decided give big blue a try, meanwhile never porting my number officially (had to leave myself an out, right?).

While the coverage is pretty solid in my city, the voice quality was pretty suspect in some areas where I needed it. And much like my verizon service at home (which is pretty horrible) the Bold would fluctuate between 3G and edge pretty regularly, which really confused me. Basically I didn't feel confident cancelling my landline with ATT, so it was a smarter move to just stay with verizon cause the whole reason I had thought about porting was to have a service that was good enough to cancel my landline.

My son received a replacement Dare today - screen broke on the old one. He cannot remember his pin # and can't therefore get backup assistant to load. He went on the website, was told to create a new acct, which he did. But it did not transfer any contacts. Now he has new b.a., but only the 5 contacts he manually added since he got the phone. I called Customer Service, nobody can seem to figure this out. Is it really that hard or just impossible to get a new pin and somehow retrieve his contacts??? (He can't enter them manually bc the screen on old Dare is gone...) Supposedly they have put in a "ticket" but does anyone have any suggestions??

Hey guys, i now have a new job at shoprite. So my employ discount is going to be 17% which is a huge help. Now the next thing is eventually i was going to go on the basic plan with the $10 In Network texting and with the $15 Unl Mobile Web. But now the problem is Unlimited Web DOES NOT give you unlimited data. So since my plan was going to be around 58-62 dollars would it make more since to stay on the connect plan?

Anyone know what the deal is with this? Supposedly samsung changed the entire touchscreen on this phone and are now calling it the samsung glyde refresh... Does anyone know if this version is MUCH better than the previous?? Phone looks interesting if it worked the way it was supposed to...
