For those who like to bash Verizon...

A Wireless Wonder, Says BusinessWeek Online
A recent BusinessWeek Online article, titled "Verizon's Wireless Wonder," touts the growing success of Verizon Wireless saying, "Verizon Wireless is more than just a great telecom company. It's one of the best companies in the world - and may be one of the best ever." The article discusses Verizon's speedy growth, saying, "During the second quarter, Verizon Wireless added 1.53 million subscribers. That's more than Cingular, AT&T Wireless, Nextel, and Sprint PCS combined." Verizon Wireless' lowest in industry churn, strong profitability and management of business basics are discussed though Verizon Wireless's unparalleled network investment is cited as the key success factor. The article quotes Mi...

Blackberry Questions

Hi. I am new to this and just had a couple of questions. I am looking to get the Curve or Pearl. I currently have the Dare and am just not that happy with it. Customer service told me they would let me switch.

Which would you reccomend? I am leaning towards the Pearl. My questions are...

1. Does it send and receive video messages? I don't want them coming through e mail, would rather come straight through as txt.

2. Does both the pearl and curve have blackberry messenger?

Any other information/suggestions you have would be great. Thanks! 😁

Update from switch.

I thought I would just update you all on how the service is going. I am really happy with the switch. I have been to areas where I thought no one worked. Push-To-Talk is nice, fast, and clear. 3G is NOT spotty, and very strong. Thank you all for the help and information. 🙂

Black Voyager vs. titanium Voyager

Hey, im on my 5th voyager and it keeps rebooting when im on the internet. I just wanted to know if the titainum voyager was better in anyway? I would goto verizon and complain but they said I could get another phone but it will cost me my upgrade and I upgrade in June. And no this is not one of those threads where i say i hate verizon and all that other stuff cuz i dont. Im still staying a loyal customer but what should i do? Should i just suck it up till June or fight with warranty services for a titanium voyager? Any feedback will help, Thanks

So I Ordered My Voyager from Vzw.com Last Night...

Im currently with Sprint and I haven't had any problems with them but you guys NOW offer a plan that I want(I wish you would have offered this in January). I want to keep the same number so I actually called to cancel my internet order so I could just go to the VZW store in my area but the order had already been processed and shipped. She said that I should receive it tomorrow...that was pretty freakn quick! 😳 Anyway, I was reading the specs and accessories and I didn't see if the phone actually came with a Micro SD card. I have one in my Palm Centro...will it work in the Voyager? Also if I take my phone to the store will they be able to transfer all of my pix? I have a ton of pix and I don't want to lose them. Oh and I work for the ...

3 years and still no iphone killer.

I can't believe that soon it will be 3 years when Apple/AT&T announces iphone 3GII this June and Verizon still hasn't bested the iphone. Sure my Dare is OK but the browser sucks, The Omnia and Storm require data plans. And Verizon turned down the iphone when it was offered to them. What narrow minded bean counters. The board should fire the CEO.

LG and other brands for other networks

It surprises me how many different models of phones companies like LG or Motorola will have in current production at any given time. I always assumed that many of the differences were stricktly cosmetic. For example, I assumed that the LG Dare (Verizon) and the LG View (AT&T) were basically the same phone, but set up for two different networks. You know, change the color of the outter case, change the circuitry to the other network and voila...new phone. I really don't think that's how it works though. I have a Dare and it feels like a solid, well-made phone. I had a chance to hold a View the other day and I was shocked at how cheap it felt. Almost like a plastic toy compared to my Dare. The specs are very different too. I'm just sur...

Need help with phone upgrade eligibility question

Hey everyone. I'm new to this particular forum and I have a question that I'm hoping someone will know the answer to. I bought a Voyager about a year ago. My wife then upgraded her phone 2 months after me on her own account and we then joined together in a family share program and traded phones (she upgraded to the Dare so we traded phones). We signed the contract sometime in June I think. So I'm the second line of the plan, but I got a second job and would like to get the Storm and use the web for my new job. I know after a year Verizon allows you to upgrade at promotional price as long as you sign a new 2 year contract. But my question is A. Can I actually do this and upgrade to the Storm for $199, and B. Would this allow me to a se...

Vodafone

VZW uses Vodafone for overseas roaming. As the BB Storm comes with a Vodafone SIM card.

I'm wondering could you just put a prepaid Vodafone SIM in and have it work without paying for one of VZW's international plans? 😕
