Question about texting verizon

I told my daughter on feb 17th that we could now text and call verizon numbers for free. Was I wrong in this info? I checked here and called Alltel they told me I could and we had the right plan that allows it. The only thing that changed was she started texting a friend that have verizon. That number as the only different number she started texting, it is a verizon number. Now our bill is 300 dollars for texting. Is there anyway to confirm what numbers she was texting so I can prove it to Alltel that they were Verizon numbers? Any info would help thanks.

customer service stinks!

Is this the standard or is this just the local store?

My f-i-l died, my m-i-l goes down to the local store to switch things to her name and change the service around some. She walked in, took a number, and got in line.

THREE HOURS later, she's still in line waiting!

Yes, it's a busy store, but the problem is they have probably 15 people working sales and tech stuff at the same time BUT only ONE customer is being helped at a time by only ONE employee... the rest just walk off and go pick their noses or something in the back room.

She also had them swap phones for her, she wanted to use my f-i-l phone because it was newer. when they programed the phone, she lost ALL bars and couldn't get a call out nor txt anyone, it took 3 trips...

Ringtones/Wallpapers etc..

Hello,

I am new to the Verizon network just switched from Alltel. I was curious if there were any sites out there that people use to get their ringtones/wallpapers etc off of that is free or a minimal fee. I have been using Myxer.com and I don't like the format of the site as it is to hard to find the artist or song that I would like to send to the phone. If you folks could help me out that would be fantastic.

Thank you,

JD

Motorola A455 might be a cool phone

Hopefully they will lose the color scheme but it might fit the bill.

First "Real" Images of the Blackberry 9630!

Well today is my bday and I just got the best present ever....pictures of the new Blackberry 9630 World Edition. The phone is pretty much a mixture the Bold and the 8900. Specs look fantastic and it will immediately be the best BB verizon has to offer when it drops this spring. Cant wait!

HELP! My Pearl Died!

Yesterday my phone was acting "weird". It wasn't receiving emails, but could receive texts and calls. It seemed to be trying to load something (hourglass and red arrows kept popping up every few seconds). Then, I woke up this morning and my phone is off and will not turn on. I had it charging overnight too. Please, please help! Is there any trick to revive it or at least get my contacts out? Thanks, guys.

Plan/Bill Question

Hi All,

My NE2 is up now and I'm eligible for a discount on a new phone (w/a new 2 year agreement of course).

My plan right now is Nationwide Basic 900 (59.99 month/900 minutes) and +$10 for unlimited IN text and 500 texts to anybody on any network = 69.99/month plus fees, tax.

I'm still contemplating going w/something like the Omnia but an extra $30/month is a bit much right now for me, so I'm thinking of tweaking my plan a bit to make up for it.

I looked at my last six months of bills yesterday and I'm curious about the breakdown under "usage charges". It breaks down like this one month:

Under Voice:
Plan - Allowance 900 min, Used -700 minutes
IN Calling Allowance = unlimited, Used 715
Night/Wkend Used = 126 (I know N/W ...

HTC Touch Pro2

Hi All, Since the HTC Touch HD may not come to the US, or in CDMA, the new Touch Pro2 may have the potential to become the new VZW WMP king.

Can you guys confirm whether this phone is coming to the VZW this year? And if yes, when? The Cnet news below doesn't mention VZW.

Link to Pro2:
http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchpro2/overview.html »

Cnet News:
According to HTC's Twitter feed, the Touch Pro2 is officially coming to North America. We had every indication that it would, but this confirms it.

The feed also says that while there's no specific date, it will "start to roll out late Q2" this year. That means those of you who are waiting for the Pro2 hotness only have to wait a few more months.

What will being in a divested market mean

I am currently a Verizon customer living in the Southwest, I saw a map that indicated my market would be divested. What does that mean for me? Also will Verizon customer be able to use Alltel cell phones after the merger is completed? Thanks

Adding VZ Navigator to XV6900

Does anyone know how to enable my verizon xv6900, so that I can use VZNavigator.
Some other carriers that sell this TouchScreen SmartPhone allow Navigation software to work? 🤣 🙄

I guess I picked

A good time to switch to VZW. You really never know how lucky you are when you look at your cell phone and it shows no bars, yet your call for help goes through.

SWEET! 😲

So last week I switched from ATT to VZW and today I got my dumbass stuck in the mountains. So as my phone freaked out going from no bars to one bar to just saying 'EV' then saying just '1xRTT' and back to one bar...my call for help went through on the first try and every time after. Thank goodness!
Even as the guy who came to pull me out (using TMO) said "I'll loose service when I get close." Oh that's great, I just send smoke signals then. 😡

To ATT's defense, their service may have worked just as well. But as a guy who showed up pulled out another VZW phone t...

Verizon Femtocell...FINALLY!

So it looks like Verizon is slated to release their femtocell solution for low signal areas. This is huge news for me personally and no doubt thousands of others who struggle with signals in their home. I actually have to keep a landline in order to make calls from home.

Ive been waiting for this for over a year and I will be ordering one next week to test it out.

iphone for verizon

Ok this is prally a stupid thread and im sure people have posted it before. But i was reading online that apples contract is almost up with att and that they are possibly looking at making a cdma version of it for verizon. Also that apple is hiring evdo and cdma technicians which is also why this rumor is sparked. Anyone have real info on this. Im just curious, I have the storm and would not switch for the iphone, just think this is an interesting rumor

Motorola W755

I currently have the LG 8700, and my contract was up so I was thinking about getting a new phone.
My boyfriend has the Voyager, and although I like it, I'm not sure that a phone like that (along with the EnV or Dare) would be a good fit for me seeing as I'm partial to flip phones.

Can anyone tell me about any experience with the Motorola W755?

Or can anyone tell me about any experience with a flip phone that's currently being sold that they really like?

About the Connect Plan

Hey guys one quick question. Would the connect plan be available for ANY basic phone with net on it? Only asking because an online chat rep told me it has to be a connect plan capable phone but if an older phone can take mobile web. Wouldn't it work for that? Like LG 8300, LG 5400 and others.
