I really don't get the new LG Versa

Going by the article on the phonescoop homepage, it sounds like the Dare with a detachable physical keybord and a downgraded camera. Maybe I'm missing something, but what would you gain from this phone over a Voyager?

Need To Decide Between The Dare and Storm

I currently have US CELLULAR and the blackberry curve....

I am looking between the blackberry storm and the dare...

I had/tried the storm when it FIRST came out (the day it came out.) and it was slow, and froze, and i had to wait 30 seconds before the call would answer etc... IS IT BETTER NOW?

How is the dare?

And yes...i will use all the fetures of both.

System problem in the Chicago area

There is something seriously wrong with the Chicago network. All callers calling ANY Verizon cellphone, even prepaid, from a landline are greeted by severe static and crackling as the phone starts to ring. This is happening to 3 of my lines, and about 15 people I have tried to call, and 3 prepaid lines as well. I think "it's the network."

Contract ending and Loyalty Dept question

I have a question my contract is ending very soon. I have been with Verizon for 8 years. After visiting with Sprint and T-Mobile both offered very good deals to go with them. However, I have received great service from Verizon. I was wondering what services or feature could Verizon's loyalty dept could offer me. To sweeten the deal to stay with big red. Thanks for the input!!! I really enjoy the Verizon forum you guys are always informative and helpful. 🙂

Verizon Reps Help

Please no smart a$$ remarks. I am with Alltel, just joined two days ago. I have a past due balance with Verizon from last year, because they refused to credit my account for internet overage charges. The reason they were over is because the sales guy didn't add internet to my account when I opened service, and I had told him to. Well, customer service would do nothing about it. Now that Verizon is aquiring Alltel and merging customer accounts, are they going to see this past due bill and refuse service to me? Will Alltel customers have to go through an entire credit check like new customers coming from other carriers?

Enough is enough with my DARE phone!

This phone works great except for the touch screen. Whenever I text or anyother time I have to touch the screen I have to it several times before it will take. And please don't tell me I have to calibrate it.
I only sign one year contracts with Verizon, yes it cost more, but if for reason the quality goes away with their service, I am not stuck in a 2 year contract.
I have had this phone for 7 months and I am done with ALL touch screens.
I do miss quality phones with qwerty boards, at least when you hit a button you'll know you made contact with it right away.
Does anyone know if Verizon will be coming out with any new phones in the next 6 months that can do what the DARE does but with a qwerty board? Please don't tell...

Omnia New Price???

I just got my Omnia about 2 weeks ago with $100 NE2 credit. At that time, online pricing with 2 year contract was $199 with the discount already included. So I paid $100 using my NE2 credit plus tax.

Now I see that Omnia princing has dropped to $99 with the discount.

What the hell??? Does Verizon offers price protection? With my NE2 credit, I would have paid only the tax to get this phone.

Please advice.

How long until I'm an actual Verizon customer?

I live in Spartanburg, SC. I've read several different article about Verizon taking over, but how long until Alltel is officially phased out and Verizon will completely take over? I've only been a customer with Alltel for five days, so of course I haven't received any kind of letter yet. And once they do take over, if I want a Verizon phone, can I purchase one even if I'm still under Alltel contract? I really want the Krave by Motorola.

To All Call Center Cust Serv. Reps

How do you like your job? Thinking about going over there. I know they pay more and benefits are better than where I'm at, but they are about 3 times as far away as my current employer. How is the working environment? Thank you!

Motorola Napoleon lives, still on track for a Verizon release?

The Napoleon is the upcoming addition to the Q9 series of Motorola that will be available from Verizon. It is a hybrid device, meaning that it’ll boost both GSM and CDMA connectivity. To be more precise, the Napoleon will utilize a dual-band CDMA and a quad-band GSM support, which makes it a good alternative for the Samsung Saga. Its other features are pretty standard for a smartphone actually, including a QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi. What's very interesting about it, however, is that it packs a fingerprint sensor, the purpose of which is to contribute for the safety of your information, stored in the device. It will run the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard operating system.

Im gone...

I'm leaving this blog. I can use correct language, I just choose not to when I type fast.

But, I have recently found out that I have Cancer, and will be going for treatments and will not be online as often.

So, for you all who have wondered who I am, I am an 18 year old Senior in High School named Tyler, clue to the "09" in my name, who had plans on going to College and working for Verizon Wireless and moving up from there. But now with the Cancer, its kind of stoping me in some ways. I do, however, plan on doing what ever there is to get me threw this stuff and going on to college.

My dad is retired Air Force now, and I have been in every state in the US, not lived but visited. I have tested every cell network out there which is wh...

Early Upgrade Question?

I received an envelope today that says that I am eligible for an early upgrade. This says that it is only on pda/smartphones. My question is, is this early upgrade (2yr promotional pricing) the same as if I wait until my 20 months are over. I want to get the Storm and if I am able to get the ne2 then I will get. Thanks for your help.

Full internet browser

What is the difference between the full Internet browser as advertised with the Storm, and what is available with the Voyager or Dare? Is that what makes the data packages for smartphone/PDA's so much better?

Thank you.

Early UPgrade

Hi everyone,

VZW allowed my family to renew our contract early and purchase new phones at the 1 year promo pricing because we needed smart phones.....do we still get a 14 day test drive for the phones or no? Wondering if we have options to pay the restocking fee and swap the bb's we purchased for something like the omnia witha bigger screen (easier on the eyes) haha...thanks everyone for any info

Verizon Reps are SOOO nice!

So, we went into a store last night to play with the Voyager. We knew that we weren't eligible until 04/16, but we were considering buying it anyway at the 2 year price because his Env2 was on its last leg and not eligible for warranty since the phone is really torn up from him dropping it all the time. The lady there explained our options, looked at his phone and swapped it out anyway, even though it was definitely physically damaged, and told us that should hold us over until he's eligible. The new software has the new VZ Navigator on it AND supports visual voicemail! We were so happy! we will definitely be going back to her to do our upgrade!
