Ok, my hometown is an Alltel town.. they have ZERO Verizon stores (right now). I've always had the issue of when txtng my sister that her txt's would get hung up in the system and arrive HOURS later, sometimes a full 24 hours later.

Now that they are doing their thing with the towers to bring both together, MY service has been suffering! I sent my hubby a video msg this morning... he didn't get it. So I resent it (tho the phone says it went through the first time). 10 hours later... he got the FIRST video msg I sent him!

I'm sorry... but I've NEVER had messages to my husband get hung up like that in the system! I sent the video to 3 people and all 3 got stuck in the system! 😡

My fiances mom is eligible for an upgrade as do I and both her and I want to get a BB Storm. I was wondering if she goes in for an upgrade to purchase this phone could I get the free one and upgrade my current phone?

When the phone rings does it ascend? just checking because i have gotten rid of 2 samsung phones and an lg because it starts off low and gets louder, but takes too long to do get loud. Since im on call where i work i need to be able to hear it ring at 2am in a dead sleep. I realize that some cell phone companies are putting it on their to save ears from being blown out, but why not let the user change it...have it be an option, not a reason for some customers to bring their phones back

Talked to a tech today and he said no diamond but Verizon will be releasing a better HTC soon. Anyone with anthing to add?

I am currently in an Alltel area that will soon be switching to Verizon. My current contract is up with Alltel, so I want to upgrade to a smartphone. The problem that I have is I don't like any of the Alltel smartphones. I do however, like the Samsung smartphones that Verizon has. Is there anyway I can get a Verizon smartphone now while I am still with Alltel?

I have been thinking about moving to verizon since they took over unicel. Been stuck at uscellular for 7 years since in Maine there were no other carriers in the area that had very good coverage. Just wondering about the phones, coverage, customer service, ect, right now it looks like ill be going with an 89.99 plan, with 900 minutes, unlimited text pics and web. and to seal the deal they are offering me a 20% discount on my plan because of the hospital i work for. It seems like a no brainer, but i dont know anyone personally that has verizon...just looking to get some info...should i go for it?

i got the BB Storm in december, I'm past the thirty day grace period so i cant trade it in, but i need to get rid of it. Can i purchase a used Black Berry from say Ebay, and put my sim card in it? Would it work? I know it would have to be a verizon BB but how does that work? I just HATE the storm. The worst phone EVER.

Any info on this?? What kind of company lets something like this go for 3 days without repairing such a major issue???


There is something seriously wrong with the Chicago network. All callers calling ANY Verizon cellphone, even prepaid, from a landline are greeted by severe static and crackling as the phone starts to ring. This is happening to 3 of my lines, and about 15 people I have tried to call, and 3 prepaid lines as well. I think "it's the network."

I am about to pull the trigger on buying a used storm from digicircle. I was wondering if anyone has bought from there before, or if anyone has heard of anyone who bought from there. It looks legit, but I just wanted to get an opinion...

So I picked up a Moto Krave ZN4 yesterday and today noticed that in my car the handsfree bluetooth keeps dropping out and then reconnecting. 😕

Anyone else have issues with bluetooth and the Moto ZN4?

I've used a number of different phones in my vehicle and none have done this.

Oh well, back to VZW for a return. ☹️

Alltel to Verizon Porting Process- Effective Wednesday, 1/28


With the recent close of the Alltel/Verizon merger, a new porting process is being implemented effective Wednesday, January 28th to allow heritage Alltel customers to port to Verizon without being charged an Early Termination Fee (ETF). All non-divested Customers that have 4 months or less remaining on their contract can port early in order to take advantage of Verizon products and services. There are several non-divested markets that are not eligible to port early and get their ETF waived. Cities located in these markets are:

Oklahoma – Grove and Tahlequah

I have decided to stay with Verizon Wireless. Although I decided I want a smartphone without a smartphone data pkg. I have connect plan and want to use the smartphone with that plan. I know there are only a few that dont require a smart data plan. Do you guys reccomend palm centro, HTC XV6900, or another 1 that interested me im not sure if this one is inc but its the Verizon Wireless SMT 5800. Thanks for the input everyone.

I was a longtime customer of Sprint for almost ten years. The last three years were the worst of my life with them! Those bastards drove me insane. I'm now happy with Alltel, which is now VZW. A CS Rep told me on the phone yesterday that I would be an official VZW customer in exactly two months here in SC. I'm happy about that too, because they have awesome phones! I keep reading how Sprint is losing MILLIONS of people each quarter! They finally went below the 50 Million mark. Who else shares Sprints technology/network? If it's Verizon, do you think they will gobble Sprint up, or would the FCC consider it a monopoly? I want to see Sprint crumble after what they put me through!!! 🤣
