Is there anything on the Horizon that would make me stay with Verizon???

Hello,

I've been a loyal Verizon customer since they took over Airtouch. I've always been happy with the coverage and dissapointed with thier phones, but I was able to live with it. Now I am done. I am soooooooo sick of Verizon disabling features in a phone so a customer will have to pay for the feature. ie GPS, WiFI...OBX transfer... I have the Omnia and love it, but will be selling it to pay for my termintaion fees and pay for my Blackberry Bold from AT&T. Which, by the way, has GPS without paying an extra fee and has WiFi.

I used to stay clear of AT&T, but it seems like their service/coverage has finally cought up with VZW, almost. I know there are still a few spots, but I've had the Bold for a full week and so far: GOODBYE VERIZON...

Battery life with Mobile Email

I was wondering what anybody's thoughts were regarding Mobile Email chewing into the battery life. I came home from vacation yesterday with the battery completely drained and put it on the home charger. After is said "Battery Completely Charged", I took it off the charger and turned the phone on. This was at about 11pm. I woke up this morning around 10am and the battery was down to 2 bars from 4. The only think that could have been going on was the relay from the Mobile Email. Anybody else experiencing anything like this?? FYI, I get perfect service as I can see the tower from my house here in Florida & it is also a phone I just purchased this past Tuesday so perhaps the battery needs to go through a few more charge cycles.

Question about mobile email

I have finally upgraded my Audiovox 9900...yes..that one. It should have won an award for best phone ever!! Anyways, went with the Krave since I thought was a great looking phone. I am interested in the mobile email since it will in a way let me know what an email has arrived, sort of like a fake BB if I'm not mistaken. I understand its $5/mo & then $1.99 MB. On average, how many emails would fit into 1MB? Looking over my options, the only other thing to do would be the VPAK for $15 and the $5 mobile email feature for unlimited. Please let me know if I am correct in all of this of if you have any other ideas. Thanks!!

Comming over to Verizon Wireless.

Ok, I really need help. Im switching my business of 175 almost over to Verizon from AT&T. We are located in Texas. I am sooo sick of AT&T's network here. It was out for a while 1 or 2 weeks ago.

I needed a strong 3G network. And Verizon seems to be the best out there, right?
We work with a group in Dallas who uses Sprint. They also are switching there network over to Verizon. They have 150 in there business.

We have been looking at PTT phones. Which PTT phone do yall prefer?

We plan on switching sometime this week. We travle all over the US, and AT&T doesn't work out West, Roaming, and Sprint Roams out west as well.

I do not want to switch to Sprint's Nextel network. They do not cover many areas we travle to.

Any information ...

Cell Phones for parents

I am responsible for upgrading my line and the two my parents use on my plan.

Is anything on the horizon that would make me change my mind on the Samsung Omnia (for myself)?

Any recommendations for parent-friendly gadgets that won't confuse them? They currently have Moto e815, so anything similar would be great.

Thanks!

Help with Family Plans

Hey a Verizon on the phone rep told me that if i wanted to split plans on the family plan like just have me on premium and have the other line a select plan or so, he said ONLY the primary has to be premium and the 2nd can be whatever and who ever told me the both lines need to be premium are wrong. But the thing is when i was testing this out on the site it did not give me the premium option for the Voyager phone and the select for LG 5500. Any help?

Will there be others?

I've pretty much decided that since my V3m is still working OK, I'm probably going to stay with Alltel service here in Charlottesville, Virginia until they are officially here, then migrate over to Verizon and upgrade my phone without having to go through a credit check, even though my credit is just fine. The thing that bothers me is that since phones generally have a finite life for sales, the phone I think I want may not be available at that time. The Samsung Renown is the one I have my eye on, and the closest thing to it is the Motorola Z6c World Phone. I went into a Verizon store in northern Virginia the other day and actually took a look at the Sammy. I was really impressed with the sturdiness, but I'm not wild about the charging p...

VZW Reps: So I failed my credit verification questions..

i was starting up service today with vzw and after having my credit checked was connected to the dept to be asked questions to I guess verify myself for my credit or what not (questions only i should know blah blah) and thanks to a question that was in regards to a loan, in which i had two opened within days of each other and vzw couldnt tell me which one, i failed.

I was told i could fax in a utility bill with my name and address but I just moved to my new address, havent received any bills yet, and most of which are in my wifes name anyway.....anyone know anything else that I can do to verify myself?

Who's using the Samsung Renown?

I thought I wanted the Motorola Z6c World Edition, being the Moto fan I am. However, I had a chance to take a look at the Samsung Renown last week while I was in a Verizon market (Washington, DC), and I have to tell you, I was impressed. It's a CDMA and a quad-band GSM phone rather than a dual-band that the Moto touts, and a flip rather than a slider. I'd like to know who's using this phone and what the reaction is to it. Also, is there any word of any new CDMA/GSM phones coming down the pike that are NOT Smartphones? I'm getting kind of itchy to dump my Alltel V3m RAZR in favor of a new handset as soon as Verizon takes over here in Charlottesville, and the CDMA/GSM capability is going to be necessary. I've read the reviews already...I...

XV6800 and MR2 release

Does anyone know of reasons not to update an XV6800 from MR1 to MR2?

From some other searching, I have found that the Vallhalla GPS fix still works, while it fails for other people.
