Let the Sprint people talk about their customer service now
From Phonearena

"Everyone knows it and dreads the thought of having to speak to a customer care representative about an issue about your wireless service. Chances are though, if you’re a T-Mobile subscriber, you’ll probably get the best customer service. There was a survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates that rates the quality of customer support service handled by phone, retail stores, and online divisions. The annual report documented the overall customer care performance of the wireless carriers in the United States. T-Mobile received the best ra...

Verizon Wireless in Alaska!
As you know, Pre Paid can only access Verizons home network, but can Roam on other networks.
Did verizon add coverage in Alaska or buy something there?
Why do all the available Verizon phones suck!?
I've been struggling with my Motorola 180e for the past 2 years or so. About a year ago, the power connector on this phone stopped working about 90% of the time. When I want to charge the thing, I need to sit there for 20 minutes each time, carefully aligning, bracing and taping the phone until I get a power connection. Very often, I have to do this more than once a charge. I'm fed up and I want a new phone.
So I go to Verizon's phone offerings...and maybe it's me...but it appears that VZW's phone offerings are either cheap, introductory crap...or real expensive palm-like devices. And there's not many choices either!!!
I want a phone that gets good reception, has tri mode operation, sound...

Verizon to allow you to use phones from other carriers?
I have been eligible for a new phone for a few months but haven't upgraded because I don't like any of Verizon's phones. I think they have a pretty poor selection of phones - it would be great if we could buy a phone elsewhere and use it on Verizon's network.
Early upgrade

Verizon
Verizon Wireless next month will make drastic changes to two of their most popular programs, targeted at adding and retaining customers.
First, on February 15, Verizon will discontinue their 30 Day Test Drive program. The program allows customers to activate a new line of service, and have their voice charges refunded… if they elect to port out within the month to another provider. This was a key tactic that Verizon used to take advantage of Local Number Portability. However, no other carrier matched the offer, and facing high costs from an increased handset return rate, the company will end the program...

Verizon Femtocell Mini Review and Unboxing Pics!
So I've been waiting for this unit for quite some time and I was finally able to sit down and activate the device this morning. I have also included a link to Flickr where I have some unboxing photos of the device for your viewing pleasure 🙂. Now lets get down to the Nitty Gritty of this bad boy.
First thoughts....
Fit and Finish--
The device is sharp, it comes in a sleek black housing with 4 nice blue LED indicators for: Power, System status, WAN, and GPS. No other lights are on the device. The unit also has a small black pop up antenna. It looks sort of like an older motorola surfboard cable modem. I really like the look and it's one tech accessory that I won't mind having on display.
Function--
Setup was simple. ...

Activating a VZW phone on the Alltel network.
When I log into their website, I can change my own ESN/MEID.
What I want to do is switch over to a Verizon phone.
Would I have any troubles?

Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 in the wild!
Some new BB love for verizon customers. While I wish it was the CDMA Bold or Curve 2, the CDMA version of the pearl flip will have to do.
Enjoy!

It's Official
I am very excited about this opportunity as I sold Verizon in the past and have admired Verizon as a competitor for some time.
So my new found interest in this forum was not for trolling purposes but to begin getting a feel for a segment (albeit small and somewhat biased) of the Verizon community.
