Palm Pre 4 Verizon

You guys know this thread had to be made lol. With the open source (I hope that's the right word) VZW promised, do you think it'll be possible for us VZW customers to get the Palm Pre even though it's exclusive to Sprint? I hope so since it looks like a great phone and won the CES award for cell of the year or something like that. I have an LG voyager, still happy with it, but really want to finally get my first smart phone, and the Storm is getting such bad reviews I would love to wait for the Palm Pre or even for the iphone to switch to CDMA someday.

Nationwide plus Canada

I was wondering if anyone could clarify this plan. I would assume there is no charge to call Canada and it just takes away from the monthly minutes? If someone could explain this plan better I would greatly appreciate it.
thanks in advance! 😁

4th quarter results:

Wireless Delivers Another Strong Performance
In the fourth quarter 2008, Verizon Wireless continued to deliver service ARPU growth, strong customer loyalty, and sustained high margins:

Organic growth totaled 1.4 million net customer additions, essentially all of which were retail.
Retail net customer additions totaled 1.2 million. This included a net loss of 122,000 retail customers, resulting primarily from the closing of a previously announced exchange agreement with another carrier. Verizon Wireless had entered into this agreement to comply with conditions imposed in connection with regulatory approval of the company's acquisition of Rural Cellular Corporation, which closed in August 2008.
Verizon Wireless added 5.8 million organi...

Verizon Hub

Anyone read about this Verizon Hub.. Looks very cool.. I am moving into a new home and will presumably get FIOS, wonder if there is additional fee for this on top of what you would pay for fios phone without the hub. Really looks very cool.

Return of the instant online rebates?

So for the past few months verizon online used the same rebate process as stores did (mail in). Now, they always had a couple phones for free, but these were going out of stock phones, or special promotions. Generally we beat online on some phones and they beat us on others.

Now, they are back to "instant" rebates and they are also waiving activation fees on what looks like any select plan.

Why did they change back to this "stores can't beat our pricing" setup?

we lost a 5 line port in because of the instant rebates and waived activations, and this month is one where we need every sale we can. Sure, we can sell on service, but with so many people freaking out about the economy, they are literally starting to argue with us over pe...

On Phone or In Store

I am due for a upgrade Feb 1st because of some promotion for shared plans. I spoke to a rep a few times and it was confirmed. On the website it says the upgrade is in 6 months. Am I better off ordering a blackberry on the phone or will the store also honor this?

As I am "upgrading" from a env2 to a bberry I assume the additional monthly charges will not take effect until the phone is activated?

Cellular Sales

I have a question about the company cellular sales based out of the southeast. They are an exclusive agent.

Is the owner Dane Scism? or is he just the CEO and there are other owners as well?

Does the name Hamilton ring a bell?

Omnia or Storm

I am up for an upgrade next week. I think I am going to get a Storm -- Omnia -- or perhaps the Curve --

Which is recommended for moderate email, text, and internet applications?

What if the diff between the 30/month Blackberry plan and the 45/month data plan?

the injustices of verizon wireless what its doing to their employees.

this is an email i sent to all execs and regional presidents of verizon wireless in hopes that they would do something to right the wrongs that have been done to some of their former employees. I am a current employee at the Canton retail location in Georgia who wishes to remain anonymous. I would appreciate a few moments of your time to be enlightened about the injustices that has happened at the retail location in Canton, Georgia. Many of you that i am contacting today don't work in the south area but should know about this to protect your employees in your area from any of the same doing. I would appreciate it if after you have read this email to at least reply that you have read my email. If you feel you can go further and even acknowl...

Boulder won't learn words in T9 mode....need help

I have a Verizon Wireless Casio C711 Boulder that I'm having difficulty teaching new words to as I text. All my previous phones (and I've had quite a few 😉 ) just seemed to add the words into the handset dictionary automatically once I went to the "abc" mode and typed it in. This new Boulder isn't learning from me. I am constantly having to go from "T9" back to "abc" to type in the very same word that I typed in hours ago. 😕 Does anyone know how I can change this? Thanks in advance!! 🙂
