LG 8950 vs. LG 5500, other simpler phones?
Anyway, the LG 5500 seemed like a solid little phone. I was a tad concerned with the fact it doesn't accept a memory card, but I never used that feature with my recently deceased LG 8300 in nearly three years of use. The 5500 seems to get good reviews.
But now I see the 8950. Unfortunately, all I can find is one biased review: "WORST PHONE EVER MADE!" I'm sure this is either hyperbole or the user got a reject. I do see the 8950 has a slightly better camera and supports a memory card.
Any advice here (and that include...

Blackberry Reps calling stores...
I just had a rep from Blackberry (RIM) call asking all kinds of questions about the Storm, how well is it selling, what are the issues, how many have you had returned, what is the Storm's main competitor in your market, etc. He also asked my personal opinion on the phone and what I thought needed to be fixed...all I have to say is, BRAVO RIM!!! This is really good and I'm glad RIM is doing this. The rep also said that most complaints are over the software and RIM is definitely aware of the issues (even after the update) and they plan on pushing another update soon. Just thought I'd share...anyone else getting calls?
Activating a phone you obtain from a friend?
Can I activate this as a replacement, via the website, for instance, until I pick my next phone?

Order status on VZW website?
Yea Verizon!
Verizon is a standout cell-phone carrier for most people, based on our exclusive best cell phone service survey of readers in 23 cities. The company received high marks from survey respondents in overall satisfaction and customer service, and service is available in most of the country.
Overall, cell-phone service has become significantly better, judging by the annual survey conducted in September by the Consumer Reports National Research Center. Contract terms for cell-phone service are less onerous, and there were fewer problems with call quality in this year's survey. The best carriers even came through after a hurricane hit one of our survey cities.
Sixty percent of readers were completely or very...

Tech Question
I have a customer that I upgraded back in March of 08.
For the first couple of months, he had a couple of Unavailable calls that are 3 minutes apart and his voice mail code had gotten wiped out. We did this 2 or 3 times.
I call tech a couple of times and we reset the vm in the switch and what not. Thought we had it fixed. Nope. He apparently had trouble with again (i got the word second hand).
Short of changing his number, which I don't really want to have done because of the age of this number being with his business for so many years that it would cause havoc, I don't know what to do.
I have a call into my friend that just started in Tech and she is working on it.
I wanted t...

Question on Blackberry service plans - PLEASE
First, I have a Storm and love the thing. I've had them all too...the latest being the XV6900 (Touch). But always Windows Mobile. This is my first foray into Blackberry and it rocks for sure. I am an I.T. Consultant and do Exchange server in a lot of small companies.
The question is this: If youa re using the BB Server or BB Professional Software with Exchange, which data plan do you need, the $29 one or the $44 one? My understanding is the $44 plan is for the Blackberry Internet Service and this is if you *DONT* have your own Exchange server and BB server software and want BB to redirect/sync for you using the Desktop software. So the $29 plan is all you ...
