Audio Boost on Lg Dare??

Like the title explains, Im curious to see if theirs a way to get an audio boost on the dare, much like with the Storm.

The music just isnt that loud through the headphones. Ive tried the standard VZW headphones, Ive tried Ipod headphones, and I've tried the Motorola Rocker, None of the seem to be to loud.

While im riding my motorcycle I can barely hear it. If im in the car and someone else is listening to the radio, I can hear the radio over the music in the headset..

Anyone know of anything? The phone volume is all the way up, and the music player itself is all the way up.. I went through setting's and couldnt find anything, and have searched. Is their something that can be altered to allow this??

TIA

Chris

Options for a Phone Exchange

I got my Omnia shipped on 11/26 and I just recently noticed a discoloration / spot in the middle of the touchscreen (just like a TV that has a spot on the screen that doesn't disappear). The spot measures about 1/4 of an inch wide, is very faint and you have to look very carefully to see it. Because I know it's there, it's become very distracting to me.

My question to the experts is what options do I have in getting it exchanged for another Omnia? It doesn't seem like this should be an issue with a brand new phone and I certainly haven't been pressing hard or abusing the touchscreen.

Thanks for any suggestions or feedback you have.

Verizon.net Email

I just got the mobile email application and one of the options is for a verizon.net account. Is this automatically included and if so, where do I set up username and password? I searched this forum and couldn't find an answer. Thanks.

P.S. As far as I can see, there is no ability to send/receive attachments of any size with this. Am I correct?

RCC / Verizon Mississippi

RCC (Unicel) owns the 850 mhz spectrum here in Mississippi.... Verizon coverage has been very "spotty" here in the past with service on interstates only.

Does anyone out there have an update on when the CDMA network build-out will be completed here?

Mobile TV and SMS Block

Does anyone here happen to know why you can't have an SMS block on a line that happens to have Mobile TV? This has really been bugging me, as I've noticed that you need to have messaging unblocked for some reason, yet I've never been able to find any explanation as to why. How is messaging related to Mobile TV?

has the $29 data plan changed to unlimited data?

I have been in a couple of stores in the Dallas area looking at the Storm and Omnia. I was told by more than one VZW employee that the $29 data plan was unlimited data for either the Storm or Omnia. Is this correct?

Adding a line - $9.99 ???

I have a question. About a year or so ago, I was looking into adding my wife to my individual plan. At the time, it was $9.99 (or $10) to add an additional line to the plan. Anyway, I went to their site today to look into it again, and I see nothing about that. It looks like for me to go from my $39.99 plan to adding her would up the cost to $69.99. That's an additional $30 a month compared to that extra $10. Sure, it comes with a ton of extra minutes, but they are not needed in our case. I plan on visiting a verizon store, but I wanted to see if anyone on here knew if that plan still existed or is $69.99 the cheapest you can get two lines?

Thanks

Verizon Issues Fixes for BlackBerry Storm
Verizon released a firmware update last week that fixes some bugs in its much-hyped BlackBerry Storm, such as the device unexpectedly powering off and on, and music being jacked up to the highest volume when calls come in. But it doesn’t specifically claim to address the general slowness many users have complained about. And of course it can’t solve any problems people have with the physical de...

A question about the new Connect Plan

I will be starting the plan this thur. And wanted to know I own the voyager if access the web with the phone straight up the turn it to the side. Will the web be access from both angles or only in 1 direction. I know the dare has that feature that phone also does it with photos which I know the voyager doesn't because it is older. But I was hoping to have this feature for the html web browsing. Thanks for the input.

New PDA's to expect from VZW in '09?

Now that the HTC Touch Pro, Omnia, and BB Storm are out, I'd guess that VZW is done putting out new PDA's and BBs for the time being.

Do you guys know what we might expect from VZW in the first 6 months of the new year? I am looking for a PDA, running on WMP, with a slide out keyboard and hopefully 3.5" screen. Sort of like the Omnia (I know it's 3.2), but with keyboard.

Thanks very much for your input.

I'm fed up

I'm about at my wit's end with posts asking if you can get certain phones without the data service feature, or why Verizon requires Internet on some phones. Some days I wish we were back on the StarTac-era phones. No one would have the illusion of combining their Clie with their TM-510. We'd all be too mesmerized by LG 6000s and Sammy a610s to give a rat's rear about syncing my phone with my Pentium II computer. I'd be enjoying the benefits of desktop chargers! I could hook up to that analog signal and talk all the way to China with all them watts!

And if we REALLY wanted a PDA and a phone in one, we'd be using the Kyocera 7135. Sure, it's an overgrown storage device for my contacts, but it works (sometimes).

If only...

Cancelation Help...

We can terminate our contract renewal up until Dec. 11 (ends our 30 days.)

Unfortunately the economy has hit my wife and I from out of the blue....we had renewed ont othe $99 select plan and I got a blackberry with data (yay!)

NOW......my company gave me some very bad news and I can not afford any extra expenses.

We either will need to cancel or go back to our old contract which is no longer offered.

Americas choice 59.99 plus 2 $10 in text packages....will verizon let me do that instead of just canceling?

help and guidance is appreciated....thanks all 🤭

since when do we prepay for postpaid plans?

i recently bumped my text/pix/flix package up to the next one, then to avoid any prorated charges the customer svc rep said that she'd add the change the following day when my bill cycle would renew. i agreed and thought that my bill would simply reflect the old package's bill plus overages for that month and that i would see the charges for the new package on my next bill. not so, the new package was included on my current bill. so i called to get an explanation and the rep told me that every bill is for the following month, not the previous month for which all those minutes were used. if that's the case, why is it called a postpaid plan? and how can we be paying for the following month when all call/usage detail listed in the bill is for t...
