Omnia plan?

Sorry if this question is being repeated. Is a data plan required with this phone? I really would like a Windows Mobile phone, but don't need the data plan. Any suggestions? Thanks

storm vs omnia querty

I have found the Omnia to be very difficult to use the querty. Is the Storm any better? There is no way to use two hands on the omnia to type, least not for me.

The other issue that is really bothering me about the Omnia is battery life...how long does the Storm get on a charge? For the Omnia, its is less than a day...with only moderate usage.

My final question (for today). What about the Storm internet connection. How easy is it to move around the page, or to zoom in on one area? This is a bit of a pain on the Omnia.

Storm Update

Got my storm updated to .75 OS and it works SOOOO much better. It'a a lot faster and doesn't seem to have the glitchiness of the old OS. Definitely glad that I got this phone!

would if?

what if I bought the Omnia with data plan and canceled data plan after a month. wouldn't have to return the Omnia would I? That would seem strange.

what do you think?

😈

so. went to a verizon store-today. i read about alto of these phones all the time but i finally got to see some of the most popular and play with them.

the dare was a surprise. i did not expect it to be that big of a screen in person or so light! the pictures do not do the phone justice. plus, the touch interface worked really well! no lag that i saw.

then there was the blackberry Storm which i was ready to praise as with it's "wow" hi def like screen. lighter feel than what i had expected.....that was until it went to white and rebboted itself after only a minute or so of handling it. i thought maybe i pressed something but am pretty sure i did not.

then there was the Romania. gorgeous phone. pretty slim. damn good re...

Question...

I have 5 lines. Have had the NW Select plan for awhile now (90 for my line and 40 for the other 4). I get 19% corporate discount. After taxes, my bill was always about 137.60.

I just went to the Premium on the primary line only so that pushed the primary line from 90 to 110 but after my discount it should go down to about 89 after discount (as opposed to 73 after discount on the select plan), so about a 16 dollar increase overall. Guess my bill should be about 155 now.

So just to verify, I get the Navigator, Vcast Vpak, and the mobile email application itself (the one where I get notified of any new emails kinda like push email) is that correct?

Also, would this plan be acceptable should I get a smartphone like the Omnia?

Thanks ...

Nebie Seller Question

Sorry for the basic question 🤭 ; I didn't have luck on the search.

I have a couple LG VX-8300s that belonged to my wife and I. I want to sell them on eBay, but I'm concerned about security issues. I found a site that walked me through erasing all the personal info, but when I look up under phone info, I still see NAM1 and my phone number. Is there no way to remove this prior to selling the phone?

Thanks!

Is the Krave a dud??

The apparent total lack of interest in this phone has me a little surprised. Nobody ever mentions it here and even on the forum devoted specifically to the Krave, there hasn't been a single post in two weeks. Why? Is the phone that bad? OK..I know the clear flip cover kinda gets in the way of using the virtual QWERTY keyboard, but it doesn't totally block it. I also know that the touch features on the flip cover are limited, but at least it has a cover to protect the main screen and at least you can do a few basics with it. I have been reading reviews and watching reviews on youtube about this phone and it seems like a solid performer. I just can't figure out why it's not more popular. Any comments?

Is the Dashboard a downloadable app, is it compatible with the Dare, and if I am on the premium plan, will it cost anything extra?

The Samsung Omnia Wow what big time DISASTER!

First of all I own the dare. I wanted something new so I got the Storm. Well it does have issues. One thing that bugs me is the fact that I use my right thumb to do my navigating and texting. I seem to have to touch above everything that I want to select. Its crazy and I can’t handle that. Also my dare takes way better pictures.

As for the Omnia. Dam I over nighted the phone. I can’t even believe the guys that reviewed this phone. The screen looks like **** and I mean that bad. Come on the Dare screen blows this away. Why would they put such a bad screen on a 5 mp picture camera phone? It made me sick. As for the 5mp camera, it does what the motorola Maxx did. When you take the picture. It focuses, the picture is perfect. When ...

Adding a data plan

I am currently on a family share plan. I'm looking at getting either the Omnia or Storm. Is it possible to add a data plan for only my line. How much extra would this cost to do?

Canadian citizen signing up for verizon? How do you process this?

I just had a customer come in who is a truck driver from canada. He wanted to do the nationwide+canada plan (he has a friend who has it) but when I called up activations, they said the only way they can process this is if they have an American address of some form.

Does anyone have any more information on this? This store is a good 8 hours from the border, so this is the first time I've heard of this. Anyone a little closer to the border know the specifics of this?

My Verizon Experiance.......

I just wanted to share my Verizon experience.

I just want to say that I am in no way knocking Verizon.

What Verizon is = Great Cell Phone Company.

What Verizon Isn't = A Company That Works For ME.

I have had Verizon Wireless for 26 days. And Before that I had U.S. Cellular.

In the 26 days with verizon I have noticed how they do have a signal almost anywhere.

For me, and my use, so did U.S. Cellular.

Phone selection? Amazing.

Us Cellular? Not huge, but notice its getting better.

I loved verizon, and what they do offer, and they are good for some people, but I think I am going to keep my u.s. cellular account...

I know some of you will scoff...but u.s. celular, for me, just works.

Thank you verizon!! :-)

Has VZW Ditched Palm? 800w? Treo Pro?

I know of course VZW still has the centro, the old 755P and the REALLY OLD 700wx, but is VZW EVER planning on releasing another WM Palm Treo? 800w? Treo Pro?

Just waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting...the waiting is getting old.

I know "Omnia", "Saga", "Touch" etc...None of those phones meet the needs of a TREO user (even tried th Saga since I was sick of waiting...TRIED to like it for a week and finally sent it back).

I'm hearing rumors that VZW is not planning on carrying anything more from Palm and I SOOOOOO HOPE THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!

Please VZW? We need the 800w or the Treo Pro - Either one, please!!!

300 minute plan?

Someone had mentioned that VZ had an unmentioned 300 minute plan for 34.99. I was live chatting online with customer service and they said the cheapest plan they had was the 450 minutes @ 39.99. Can anyone confirm the 300 minute plan? Thanks
