My contract is ending soon. I was wondering if I spoke to the loyalty department what would they offer me to stay with Verizon. I have been with for Verizon for 8 years. However, there ar so many offerings from the other providers that intrique me to test the market. But if Verizon did make some kind of offering maybe I would still be tempted to stay put. Thanks for the advice!!

I am contemplating the Dare but have been somewhat scared away by reading a lot of reviews that the phones gets bad reception...and I came across this post on hofo:
"I spoke with Verizon tech support last night and we talked for awhile, anyways" not sure if he was b/s ing but I called about reception issues and he told me there is a new update on it's way and reception is one of the fixes and the other one he mentioned was text messaging, Verizon is aware of the problems people have been having using the keyboard. He wasn't sure what it will do but he said people will have less mistakes using the keyboard. so this is a good thing, i'm not a big text person, maybe 2 a day. I would rather call the person and get it over with."

Been out front of my VZW store patiently waiting for 8am. To my suprise, there's only 2 maybe 3 people out here. Maybe the reviews had a negative ripple effect. Or people are smarter than me & ordered online.

I am wondering if anyone else is having problems receiving txt's. Sometime I get them instantly but normally there's a delay of 20 mins to 10 hours! I have called several times they reset my phone or I call the 228 to update. Then it may work for a day or 2 but then I stop getting them again. I'm thinking of going to a different service since I love to txt and this is causing A Lot of problems 😢

My wife has a centro that she loves to death and I have been trying to get email on it (I can receive but not send).

I work for an indirect and tried a program that VZW is using (OZ Mail?). It didn't work at all. When exiting the app, the phone reboots

I deleted the app. The phone then started receiving text from OZ Mail. 1 about every 3 hours. I did some google searching on the problem and got the texts to quit. I had to re-install the app. Fine. Now the phone randomly turns the backlight on. I think that its related to the program being reinstalled. If I delete it again then the annoying text will start.

I'm giddy with excitement. Just orfdered my new Storm which I should recieve on Tues. (I'm too cheap to pay an extra $20 for faster delivery). The phone comes with an excessory package which includes a bluetooth headset for a total of $380, I get my new every two $100 off plus a $70 mail-in rebate for a total deal of $210. PLUS my data plan goes down to to $30/month. What's not to love. I sure hope this phone performs and doesn't drop calls. Like I said, I giddy with excitement and anticipation!! 🤤

I am having an issue while attempting to access information on a website. The website is used to facilitate contracts for high school basketball officials. I am able to log into site but when I attempt to accept or decline available contracts I get an error message. The message reads "A Java Script Error has Occured" I went into my browser options and enabled Java scripts but that did not correct error. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I just looked at the fine print under the $199 (after $50 rebate) on the Storm. This requires you to go with one of their new BlackBerry Nationwide Email plans. Since I am planning to get the $69 family plan with 2 of these storms and planned on 2 $29 blackberry plans, my total service cost would have been $140 before my corp discounts. ($115 after discount).
But by going with the Nationwide Email Plans, my cost will be $160 before my corp discount and $143 after discount.

Thats $20 more ($28 more after discounts). (note: I really dont need the few extra minutes).

So this is Verizon's way of getting us to cough up more coin. If thats the case I will forgo the $50 rebate.

okay...so i'm starting to get annoyed with VZW and their fees for everything. So, let's break it down to what features are included in my plan:


450 anytime min (unlim. nights/wknds/vzw-to-vzw)
unlim. texting (video/pic/IM too)
unlim. VZ Nav


OK...so for those few features & after all of the mystery taxes are slapped on, i pay no less than $80+/month. So, i go through my bill the other day and notice that there are megabyte charges included as well. So i call up VZW and ask what they were for, and she says for going onto the mobile web. I told her i don't do that (i'm not adding even MORE money onto my already high-as-hell bill every month). THEN she tells me it's for going onto GET IT NOW. Really? I 'm not sure if this is correct. Will I be able to walk in to a VZW Corp and pick one up Friday? I've heard conflicting reports. I'm not in the industry, so any help is appreciated. People on BGR are saying direct fulfillment only? does that mean I can walk in and they have to order it and send it to me? Will they have any on hand to sell? Should I just take my chances and go up there when they open?

OK, so over the past 2 or so months, i've been hearing rumors about the iPhone possibly branching out to Verizon. I have been with Verizon for years....tried Cingular (before they merged with AT&T...sucked) & T-Mobile (sucked even more)...I'm a true VZW customer at heart. I almost went to AT&T when the most recent iPhone came out, but I was nervous to leave the best coverage. So does anyone know if it's definitely possible for VZW to get the iPhone? I'm jonesin for that phone, but i don't want to leave VZW.
