I’m thinking of getting the Storm but I’m also thinking of maybe getting the HTC Touch Pro if Verizon gets it. Why do people like the Window base phones?? What do they do over a BB?? Can you open outlook on a BB?? I though I would ask all you ppl so I can hear the pro and cons

with alltel being bought out I was wondering what the verizon callcenter is lIke. is it csr, lead reps and sups? do you make commision in cs?

New rebates have been posted effective 11-16-08 to 01-31-09. New phones listed include LG VX9600, Nokia 2605 Mirage, Nokia 7205 Intrigue (and there are two UPC numbers for this phone so I suspect we'll get two different colors), Samsung Renown, Verizon Wireless CDM7076, Verizon Wireless CDM8975, Verizon Wireless CDM8950, and...the XV6850 is offically listed as the HTC Touch Pro.

I heard from someone that works for Verizon Wireless; that the company is looking into the idea of offering Sirius Satellite Radio in the near future. Does anyone know if this is really going to happen? If Verizon does start offering this feature, it could possibly also allow for Free MP3 Streaming radio as well. Alltel currently offers Streaming Radio and they are about ready to be bought-out by Verizon. So once Verizon owns Alltel; they also own Alltel's agreements with other companies.

I have never used an Alltel phone; so I don't know how the streaming fully works. But I know when I had Sprint, that I could stream pretty much any MP3 stream using a Standard-Media-Phone.

So I just want to see if Verizon is really thinking about off...

I plan on getting the BB Storm when it comes out. I have never had a blackberry before and i am currently on a family voice plan.

I notice that there are two choices to add a blackberry data plan to my current plan. One is called "blackberry email and web" for 29.99 a month and the other is "blackberry solution" for 45.99 a month.

I plan to use my new phone for email as well as a lot of web and also i want to tether it to my laptop.

Which plan should i get?

What is the difference between them?

Are there data limits?

(I couldnt find these answers on the VZW site haha)

Storm will have VZNavigator GPS AND Blackberry Maps w/ GPS service.

Verizon will label one as an assisted GPS system and the other as a standalone GPS system.

So, yes, the Storm will have a fully-functional Blackberry Maps program.

On the Vodaphone UK website the presentation is 'better' than their US cousin's and plan pricing is listed.

waiting for something to replace the Centro. Anyone?

Ok, so I've been hyped for about 5 months now waitin on the Bold from ATT, only to find out that with the STEEP price tag and my renewal not up until Feb, it's just out of my reach. So with news of the Storm being only a week away from release, and the great price they're launching, I need some help deciding on whether to switch.
I've tried going through their site, but can't really get a true estimate of what my motnhly plan would cost for a Family Plan on the Blackberrys.
I currently have 2 lines with ATT one is a blackberry, my hubby has the Iphone, we both have data plans. We get 1400 shared min a month, nights and weekends (9pm), and 1500 texts each. I pay around $175 month for all this plus we have tons of rollover minutes because...

i really want the iphone. i know everyone is excited about the storm but it would be nice if verizon could get the iphone. they have lost so many customers because of it.

I'm all for the next "it" phone for the holidays. It seems for Verizon, at least, the "it" phone of the season is the Storm. Can anyone hint as to whether there are other Verizon iphone competitors coming out this year? Unfortunately, I'm not a Blackberry fan.

I currently work for a corp. at&t store, but I was wondering what type of sales goals Verizons corporate rep.'s have to hit. Any insight would be great.

My wife and I used our NE2 on 11/11. I am the primary she is the secondary. We had a 59.99 plan with a %10 unlimited and %5 unlimited in messaging plan. The calling and $5 text plan is no longer offered.

We purchases a Venus and a Blackberry curve with unlimited data and changed to $99 select plan...my question is...

as long as we are within our thirty days can we go back to our old plan nad get different/regular phones???

We went to 2 vzw stores and never got the same answer or a straight one so we are hoping nad praying someone on here knows how it works.

Do you have to have a Data plan to for the Q9M to work. I have the Dare currently and i have the 15.00 data package on that. Can that act as my data plan?

I just got a really good deal on this phone, but wasnt sure if i had to have the Data package of 29.99 or 49.99. and if i do i'll prolly just end up selling it.

They list a bunch of phones but only the Storm has no pricing. So what is this "private" sale any way? Are we getting some advantage or is it just add'l hype?

The Storm is definitely coming out by this weekend. It doesnt take a rocket scientist genius to figure this out. So disregard any bs that anyome here says its delayed cause of this or that, or that Best buy hasnt officialy confirmed 11/16 or that Grandma got run over by a reindeer so it wont be out til Black Friday, blah blah blah....

The plain and simple fact of all the marketing hype going in this week is a definite indicator youy will see the Storm in best Buy this Sunday and VZ stores on Monday.

Marketing:
1) All this week there is a treasure hunt in NYC to find their Storm stuff and win a storm.

2) This Thursday there will be a giant booth setup in the middle of Times Square allowing streetgoers to see and touch the new Storm....

Why are the signal meters on the LG Dare not consistant with each other? The EV signal always seems stronger than the 1X signal. Shouldn't this be consistant?
