Quick question

My girlfriend wanted a good basic phone that made calls and had a 1.3 mp camera on it and low cost. I found the U550, based on the reviews and features, and had her try that Since we have found a lot weird quirks with the phone like pressing the volume buttons on the side does not turn the outside screen when shut, and I've never seen any phone use the same charger as it, what is up with that? She is coming from the LX54000 or something, just another basic phone.

She was fully eligible for the lowest pricing, if anyone knows if Verizon actually makes a decent low to low-mid tier phone that'd be great! Thanks, -Drake

Verizon taking over Alltel

Does anyone know when this is going to happen if everything gets approved? I've heard by the end of the year but i'm sure it's just speculation. Just curious.. 🙂

BBerry Storm - Internal GPS?

Does anyone know if the Storm has internal GPS that is open for 3rd party apps to use? Or does VZW cripple it?

Reason I ask is cause after browsing through the BB Storm User Manual(http://crackberry.com/blackberry-storm -9530-user-manual-emerges#comment-30064), I see on page 169 it says the following which leads me to believe that it is there in the device but the carrier (ala Verizon) may not support it:

"If your device does not have an internal GPS receiver or your wireless service provider does not support location-based services and you
want to use GPS technology, you can pair your BlackBerry device with a Bluetooth® enabled GPS receiver. For more information, contact
your wireless service provider."

Are the Vzw USB aircards mac friendly?

My subject pretty much says it all, but I was wondering if the USB aircards for verizon worked on a Mac computer. If anyone has experience with this please let me know!

Thanks,

Chris

Verizon Wireless Employees

To all the verizon employees that post on this site, i was wondering if there is a way for a customer to leave a great review or feedback about a certain sales associate from a store.

Any RAZR-like phones at Verizon?

My wife has the Motorola RAZR with Verizon service. The Verizon site doesn't offer it anymore. Are any of their current phones thin and compact like the RAZR?

Any BT car kit recommendations?

Hello!

I want to get a hard-wired BT car kit to use in my 2002 Ford Exploder with my XV6800 (MR1 update installed).

Now that MS Voice Command works properly (it hears one say the acknowledgment), I'd like to get a car kit that can dial by name or digit dial without using voice tags.

Does anyone have recommendations?

Thank you!

Problems With the ENV2??

I got my env2 in July and recently I've been starting to have some problems with the phone. The send,ok, and end buttons only work about half the time now. Just wondering if anyone else has seen/heard of this issue?!

Krave vs. Storm

I was thinking about going back to a flip and the Krave looks pretty neat, but the Storm sounds like it's gonna be THE daddy of phones.

Any of the experts here have some pros and cons on these two phones?

MMS to alltel phones?

Well I was wondering if you can send MMS from Verizon to alltel phones, you see I'm looking to get a new phone soon and I am in live with the LG env2 but the only problem is, is that most of my friends have alltel and I plan on doing lots of txting but if I can't MMS to other carriers than I might have to settle for the LG scoop from alltel.

Also on another note I was wondering if verizon overcharges at all for people who have less than stellar credit and how much they charge you with good credit.

New camera phone

My old digital camera is dying and I just hit my new every 2 point on my Verizon account, so I thought I would look at just getting the best camera phone I could.

It looks like the LG Dare is the way to go, with the Samsung Flipshot being the only other real competitor. Anyone know of any new camera phones due out by the end of the year?

Thanks,
-Reed

What phone is good on VZW these days..

So...I'm upgrade eligible and am looking to get a different phone. Currently I have the Motorola V9m and am tired of having clumps of dust collect under the outside LCD. I have been looking at the Blackberry Storm (of course this is all on-line) and the LG Dare--I do a lot of texting and want something with some sort of calender, mp3 player and bluetooth...if you have any other suggestions, please let me know!

blackberries

i'm probably going to switch to verizon to get the storm but my question is this....do blackberries have a history of having good battery life?

i also heard that this phone will only come with 1 gig of memory.....if i don't use it as an mp3 player how long of a video can i take? will i be able to send pictures to other people's phones? the iphone won't let me do that and it SUCKS!

thanks!
