Anyhow, I'm trying to decide between the Chocolate 3 and the enV2. Both seem like pretty good phones and both have gotten good reviews. I don't do a ton of texting so I am really slow at it on a regular key pad. The enV2's QWERTY keyboard would help me a LOT in that area, but again...I don't text much. I like the look of both phones but I'm a little worried about all the pocket-dials I have been reading about on the enV2. I don't want a complicated combination of key-strokes to unlock the phone. the storm is looking awesome. the phone is having problems connecting with the network though. verizon needs to take care of things on their end. the phone overall is alot faster than any of these videos show. blackberry did a great job. most likely it will be released even if the network problem is not resolved but im sure it will. def before thanksgiving it will be here def the 24 its looking. but they are wondering about black friday for the chance at a huge sales day. we will have to see about the date. price however i really looking around 199 from what i have heard

Yes I decided to port my VZW number out to another carrier because work uses that other carrier and will pay for it. However, I wanted to reactivate my line with VZW but get a new number. I was told by one rep that the only way to get an ETF credited back is if I port the number back. Since that number is used for work mostly I do not want to do that. Anyone know if there is any way to just get a new number on that said line and get the ETF credit??? I cannot call to ask another rep yet because I am at work with no more breaks.

I have never seen VZW hype a handset like they are this one. Are there really thousands of you out there that are rushing to get one when it comes out? I wonder? This will either be the biggest handset launch or the biggest flop handset launch. I haven't heard of anyone camping out in front of a VZW store waiting to get one. I am feeling rather uneasy about this.

With verizon taking over my callcenter will soon become verizon. What is the stucture like is it CSR's, Lead reps and sups? What is the avg starting pay for a callcenter rep? Hepfully the ins is cheaper! 😁

Who the heck is the marketing genius that decided to make the default wallpaper background photo on the Storm practically identicle to the default Windows XP background. That is so 2001. Makes me think of a basic no frills PC I purchased 7 years ago. I would expect the graphic to induce more cutting edge thoughts and emotions. The "sky and land" banckgrond is just plain blah.

Any insiders have any projections as when Verizon may have their femtocell product available? It is rumored to be very similar to the Sprint Airrave.

I will switch to Verizon as soon as this product is available as I am currently not under contract with my provider.

As of 11/14 VZW will require a data plan for existing customers who uprgrade to a pda/smartphone or new customers who purchase one. They will required to have a feature of 29.99 or higher.

OK...I will be switching to VZW in about 3 months and so far, the enV2 is one of my top choices. My biggest concern is all the reports of pocket-dialing. Now I'm reading threads that claim a new software update has fixed this. Really? Exactly how did a software update fix a physical problem with the phone? Please explain because I'm really hoping that it was actually fixed. Thanks!

I was thinking of joining VZW because I want the Blackberry Storm!!!!

I had tried VZW about 6 months ago but returned the LG dare within 3 days because for some reason the only service that works in my home or office is Alltel. (we have 8 Lines with them now) I am in a heavily populated area and many towers around me. I wondered if it was the LG brand of phone and that the Blackberry will get a better signal. I am using a BB Curve now with Alltel (but again I am dying for the Storm)

I wondered what it means if you return a phone after 3 days but before 30 days test drive is up why do you have to port the number to another carrier does that mean essentially after 3 days you must honor the contract for 2 years?

I worked for Verizon Wireless in a direct Call Center and Direct Sales in equal for almost 3 years. late last year, i had an illness had to apply for std and in essense it was HELL...

I transferred to a new area and my symptoms came back, i tried to email my sup at the time but he adv to wait until he comes back from vacation...i had used all my sick days and vacation time due to this in a few short weeks.

i couldn't wait so i had to go back home for medical treatment (home is 8 hours away from where i was working )

i let me sup know, i did not put in a 2 week notice as i couldn't , i was in a call center with hundreds of people so my 2 week notice really did not cause anyone harm imo, this was back in May..

what are my chances ...

I was wondering if Verizon still had its go through 3 defective phones and you get to pick a new one policy, i am on my third samsung alias and its a good phone, but i must keep getting bad ones, the freeze and randomly turn off, text messages or calls wont go out when i have full service and its been like this since the day i got the first one last April.
