Philadelphia market

Has anyone seen any remote competition from metropcs launching in the Philadelphia market yet? I'm in the suburbs and I haven't seen anything. Just curious.

Help!

Ok so here is my question...I have a Slvr L7C, and as you may know, it is discontinued. It is currently freezing several times a day for no reason. I am not eligible until July 2009 for a new every two upgrade.

So, how would Verizon handle this? Would I get re-upped for two years now after a purchase of a new phone since mine is broken (and they can't replace it with a Slvr since it is discontinued)??

Any help would be great! Thanks!

What do Customers want?

If you were allowed to go into VZW and make your own plan; what would you want and what were you willing to pay for it? Keep in mind that the company has to make its money somehow. For example if you were given earlier N&W mins are you willing to pay a higher activation fee? Are you willing to pay a higher MB charge to say get fully unlocked Blue tooth profiles? If VZW could grant you 3 wishes in terms of your price plan what would you ask for?

Yes I just checked on my verizon and you can get the samsung SCH-U620 the slider with tv capability right now for $80 WITHOUT CONTRACT! I might get it just as back up if any of you guys like this phone better hurry up and buy it before they run out!

? for Call Center Reps

I have a question for VZW call center reps. When your centers have been open Christmas does it seem like you've had enough volunteers so that no one is drafted to work? We've just been told that we may be open Christmas. I wonder if Verizon gives Muslims an automatic pass not to work on holidays like Ramadan.

I can already feel a cold coming on for Christmas Day .

upgrading phone

In November of 2006 I purchased a new phone at a discounted price with a new 2 year contract. My brother also purchased a new phone at approximately the same time(within a week). In January of 2008 we had a house fire and my phone was destroyed so I had to get a new one at full price but my brother's was fine. When looking at my account on verizonwireless.com it says that I'm not eligible for a new phone until November but it says that my brother is eligible tomorrow. My question to you fine folks is why is mine not eligible but my brother's is, even though we originally got them at around the same time?

so my meanest was this dude calling in from "tech support" saying his system was down and he needed to access this customer's account and needed to make a change. so i'm telling him i'll be more than happy to help him and everything and i ask him for the phone number and we're doing small talk while it's loading up like i say i'm in az and he says "oh yea with all the cactuses and it must be hot there.until he says but he didn't have the social security number or last name or something like that and he was asking if i could give it to him. i say, "um, you know i have to verify the account with you to access it" he starts flipping out!! he's like listen to me you little ****, i told you my ******* system was down and i just need some help, an...

customer handling

so i work in cs and got this call from this customer who got this bill insert that said the my verizon makes the wfg better for current my verizon subscribers like minute check/annual upgrade/backup assistant(the usual stuff) so he wanted to do the annual upgrade but i adv has to be on 49.99 or higher. cust got upset about that and said it was false advertising. i was like uh...i told him that it's only false advertising if it was impossible to do an annual upgrade (upgrading his plan for 3 months would qualify him ha) which still sucks but hey it's not IMPOSSIBLE. well he said it was false advertising bec there was no asterisk or note or anything like that. i'm just wondering, what could i have said? all i said is i would put in a complaint...

Third Party Features? (And yes, I feel stupid)

I feel extremely retarded right now. 😳

I'm trying to play catch up with my stats today, so I'm working as fast as I can. A customer comes online and says that they need to be able to send IM messages to Dubai. I swear, I'm not kidding... I actually asked WHAT Dubai was. 🙄 For some reason, I just assumed it was some third party feature that I'd never heard of. The context even implied it was a country, even if I'd never heard of Dubai, and I still missed it. 😕

Are there any third party features that work on Verizon's network? What are they? What do they do? (Details certainly welcome, as your time permits.)

I'm eligible for a new every 2 discount in the next few weeks ($50)

BB 8330 Curve
VZW CSR (phone) offered $50 off (NE2), $70 off (online discount), + $50 off for being a 'good customer' (700 min/month family plan since April 05, Broadband Access account since Jan 0😎

total out of pocket = $49 w/ 2 year contract extension (i assume i wont have to pay an activation fee)

is this the best deal i can get? (w/o being pushy?)...it seems pretty fair, but does VZW ever throw in earlier nights (7pm) or something else in customer retention?

Loudest CellPhone

My father is getting up there in years and can't hear the cell phone anymore.. I know I can adjust the volume on any phone and I know recording a loud ringer will help.. but is there anyone who knows or knows of a place I can find out how powerful certain cell phone speakers(speaker phone, ear piece) are so he can hear what I am saying to him?

i don't know anyone who doesn't have their volume maxed at all times.

Any help will be appreciated, ty

Worst customer service.....

VERIZON!!!

I called verizon a little over a month ago to change my plan from a 1500 min plan on one line to an uln talk message plan, and my second line to a basic plan.
😎 cool...
so to make a long store short, I got my bill and the plan was never changed to the unl just the next higher plan, (which isn't a big deal to me, mistakes happen) I called to have the plan changed to unl AGAIN.. and the rep on the phone told me "ok please hold I need to review this with my sup and we will apply the new plan" ....holding... the rep comes back and informs me that she changed the plan effective today and that it was all taken care of... 👀 I then asked her if I would be issued credits since I went over my min due to the incorrect plan c...
