HEY all you tech savy guys,
i have been searching threads on here for downloads and have yet to find one that will give me a website that will work with wm6 and the xv6800. Perhaps its me, but i was hoping you guys could help me out. I want to get yahoo messanger on there with some games and stuff, kinda make the pda a lil user friendly. Also, i was looking for the thread that i think wfine put out about cancelling the DATA plan once u get the phone. My question is though using wifi what can i do with it and not get charged downloads for?

Did anyone else notice this? I havent seen the Voyager on W.O.W anymore. So we cant order it anymore or another 6:00AM mad dash rush?

I currently have Verizon, my hubby AT&T. I am able to receive pictures from him on my phone but he is unable to receive pictures from me. What gives? 😕

Also any time I send a text longer than, I think 160 characters, it cuts off my text at that point and wont send any of the rest. When he sends me a long text it comes in multiple pages but I still get the WHOLE thing. Is this just a Verizon thing or am I totally crazy? 🤨

I've got a Samsung U-740 and I'm looking for a good bluetooth headset to pair with it?

I've heard there are problems with certain headsets and this phone and I don't want to make the mistake of buying the wrong one.

What have you guys/gals had the most success with?

I actually just bought the Plantronics 655 on sale at the VZW Store earlier, but haven't had a chance to mess with it much.

But if theres a better one out there I might swap it out... or sell it on eBay.

I apologize for the lengthy posting but I thought it would be best to share my problem and all of the failed solutions. 🙂

I just had my Verizon Wireless V3M Razr upgraded to the latest software (24.1_01.19.05) and I can no longer use custom ringers of any type. I actually have lots of beefs with this software upgrade (it's a pretty significant UI change) but the ringer customization is the biggest for sure.

The method that used to work was I'd email the ringer to my phone via the vzwpix.com address. I could then save the file to the phone and then set it as a ringer. This worked for MIDI and MP3 (but I renamed them to .QCP before emailing them to my phone) and it worked just fine. This method no longer works. I receive the media...

I know it has been asked a million times but verizon dosn't let you email custom ringtones to yourself anymore. Does anyone have any ideas how to put them on now? I have tried a phone thats 2 years old, 1 yr old, and brand new phones like the voyager.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually this is the beginning of the end for the Corporate stores. Why else would Verizon be giving indirects NE2, better signage, small business, bill paying abilities, FRU etc. Verizon Corp sees what we here in indirect land have known for sometime: the retail end of this business is the least profitable part. The average number of employees in a corproate store is 24. Employees are any businesses biggest expense. Add on top of that another layer of bureaucracy (i.e. Human resources, trainers, lawyers) and all the headaches that come with dealing with the public all so you can give away 3/4 of what's on your shelves for free. Is there a way to access myspace mobile through VZW mobile web? I used to be able to do it by typing in the URL htt://mobile.myspace.com but that no longer works. Any advice is appreciated!

i ordered teh voyager last night 🙂 at ne2 price!!! and im not eligable to upgrade till 2/12!!!! but it sent me aconfirmation email, and i checked and it didnt add a line 🙂

So, I hooked my voyager to my laptop through bluetooth and guess what.....
My outlook calender and contacts synced back and forth no problem. I was fairly suprised,

After I was done syncing my calender i loaded a ton of ringtones into my "my sounds folder" later i just texted them to myslef for free ringtones.

By the way, vcast tv is SICK, I thought it would be totally useless but I am keeping it, Watched basketball game on it last night, the quality is great.

ok serious question do you guys get asked why you don't have perfect coverage everywhere and please don't hit me with vzw slogan's "Verizon we're absolutely friggin' perfect" guy next to me just go chewed out by ignorant customer about how he doesn't get signal in one area (not in his house btw) cust doesn't run a business and i don't even think he has a job. What do you say when that does happen?

In case anyone is wonderin', the RED 8350 is OUT, at least here in NorCal (played with one in my local VZW store, it was on display).

Personally, I didn't care for the shade of red used, it was pretty dark/burgundy. Too conservative. 😛

It also has the Version 2 firmware on it... don't know what's different about that over Verision 1, though. There was nothing obviously different in the menus, but I didn't look very hard.

I went to the Verizon store today to see the 6800 while forgetting it is online only right now. They had a dummy model and that is one ugly phone. I know service and quality are more important, but blue just isn't a good color for this phone.

I am seriously considering the pearl. It would be my first smartphone and I have a few questions:

1) I know backup assistant wouldnt work but is there a way to get the contacts off my phone and into the pearl?

2) If you have multiple email accounts, do they all show up in one inbox, under "messages", or would you have multiple inboxes?

3) Can the pearl open PDF attachments in addition to MS word and excel?

4) Using BIS, would your POP mail sync with outlook, or would it be similar to using "mobile email" on a "dumbphone", meaning that for example, if I send an email from my blackberry, would it show up in my sent mail in outlook?
