BEWARE DATA CHARGES

I suppose that those who post replies to those who have excess data charges work in the industry. I just received a $3400 data oveage charge by Verizon. I had no idea that charges like this were even possible, Verizon's response was that it is not unusual and that they have seen charges in the tens of thousands of dollars. I have had my Motorola Q for 2 months on the $25 data plan. They cannot substantiate the charges nor will they drop them.
I don't think the normal non-cellular employee knows about this. I didn't. 😡

First impression's on the voyager...

Ive had the chance to play with it now for about 4 hours..

Pretty neat phone. Doesnt apear to have any glitches so far. Very nice to watch T.v on with the lager screen..

touch screen operates much like the Iphone.. I didnt like it at first glance.. Felt a little more cheap then other phones with build quality, and i didnt like how it was SO light. Didnt like the Inside keyboard..

Now ive gotten use to the weight and keyboard.. Must say i can type alot quicker with the larger qwerty keyboard.

No flash with the camera.. Dont really like that. Their are ALOT of neat new features in this phone.. Still learning alot..

As far as activation i, DIDDDDDD have to change the price plan. When you click default features on the data sectio...

Blackberry Plans

I have recently heard about the unlimited blackberry plan for $30.00.... That seems like a good deal. My question is the 900 minute plan with unlimited text is $79.99 right (I am currently not a VZW customer)? I have not seen this plan on their website yet. Thanks

PS- Is the Pearl a good phone 🙂

Our customers are the best

You hear a lot of stories about the bad customer service reps and the bad customers but those are few and far between. I spend 50 hours a week answering the same three questions over and over and you make my job fun and easy.

Thanks to all of you and happy Thanksgiving 🙂 🙂

Demise of the 2.5mm Headset Jack

I have happily used 4 models of the LG VX phones over the years, all supporting 2.5mm headset jacks. Will the LG VX-8350 be the last LG model to support this? Bluetooth is OK for some but I keep a 2.5 mm headset in each vehicle and my travel bag because they are cheap, easily replacable if lost or damaged and don't require a charger. And what's up with no flash on the VX-8350 camera since this is NOT a low-end device? I really don't relish getting used to the chip set in another manufacturer's phone!

Best feature on the LG Voyager...

The LG Voyager has the ability to block numbers not in your phone book. If you set this option, your callers that are not in your phone book will get voicemail instantly.

question for verizon employees about a few phones...

i'm switching to verizon and narrowed down phone choices to these. coming from at&t i've grown accustom to open bluetooth stacks and these seem to fit my needs. these phones support ftp (for bluetooth) and seem pretty good. any feedback on ones to stay away from or one you guys like better? any unusually high return rates for one vs the others? any feedback would be great and thanks in advance.
also, is anything limited with the ftp?

suretype

How quickly were you able to adapt to this on the Blackberry pearl? I want a smaller PDA than the brick moto q I carry around. That said, if I can't type well on the pearl I may go ahead and get the Q9m.

vx6800 coming soon?

Anyone know if the vx6800 is even slated for release anymore? And if so, when? I hear people saying that they've seen a listing of the phones that are coming out in the next 3 months, and the vx6800 is not on it...

GREAT NEWS!!!

My regional director just up and went "screw it, let's launch the Voyager right now!"

Which means that if you are a customer in my region, you can go into our retail stores and get the Voyager!

Hooray for you!

Verizon Dealer Encourages You to "Cancel Your iPhone Here"

With the launch of the LG Voyager, Verizon Wireless has a solid competitor for the Apple iPhone. This particular Verizon authorized dealer is so confident that AT&T users will want to switch that they've proclaimed that you should "cancel your iPhone here."

best PDA/smartphone for music

Hi,
Based on your experiences what is the best PBA/smartphone to listen to MP3s (music) as far as interface and easy of use? Is it the Motorola Q9m? My current flip phone such because when I have 40 songs on it, I have to press the next button 35 times to get to song #35. Additionally now I need a PDA for internet access.
Thanks.
