Whats so special about Verizon?

Why pay more? Especially when they cripple the features people want most from a cellphone and take forever to release an update. I'd much rather be on the NowNetwork! 😎

Mail In Rebate With Debit Card...Online?

Wow! It seems like the balance between Direct and Online is now restored. I was surfing vzw.com wondering if the price of the Incredible had dropped only to find that it no longer comes with the instant rebate. What say you online haters? Happy now?

I don't get why Windows 7 is so hyped?

I feel like its convaluted and unusable. I had the samsung blackjack, loved the phone... both windows and blackbery have my same complaint, they turn the cell service off when the battery is low. I can't really do anything so the phone might as well be off. And when you plug it in, it still takes forever to get enough percentage to use the radio.... I'm sure plenty of people have that complanint. also, especailly with my tour, ill never have another bb because of that again.. I didn't think android would grow on my...but its probably the best I ever used....

Loophole around $9.99 Data requirement.

If you dont want to pay the $9.99 data plan and dont mind being unable to send and receive picture messages, you can call customer service and request to have the National Access blocked on the account. I work in Tech Support and its the only way I found to remove the $9.99 plan. You will still be able to send and receive text messages but not picture messages.

Question about phone discounts/contract renewal

I'm thinking about upgrading my phone and remembering that discounts actually kick in a few months before the contract expires. Can someone explain how this works? Are the early discounts separate from the NE2? Thanks!

Phone returns

Hello all, I purchased a phone and am still within my 30 day return window, however my fiancee accidentally threw out the top half of the box that the phone was. Will I still be able to return the phone since I have everything else?

Thanks in advance

X vs. DINC vs. Fascinate

I am up for a new phone relatively soon and i was wondering which of these phones are the best. i currently have a Storm1. Which has the best feel, the best UI, and i guess overall useability. Any replies would be appreciated. I am leaning toward the DINC, but i am swaying.

4G on Verizon Wireless...

Just wondering if Verizon Wireless will be offering 4G anytime soon. Last I heard was late summer/early fall. I guess technically it's still early fall. I'm ready to get a new phone and thought it might be worth waiting for 4G availability (assuming I stay with VW - which I'm sure I will). Thx!

Wondering about Insurance

I was kinda curious what you guys think, that i was trying to reactivate my LG Touch phone because a new software update came out for it and when i went to activate it online last night it said the insurance would be voided off. But i haven't lost or gotten a phone wet in over 3 years. At this point should i worry about it? Because i only have 14 months left of my contract...

Verizon as a whole

Being an employee of Verizon Wireless for many years I have come to notice that although there are bizarre situations with screw ups and typical douche bag employees giving incorrect information, (can't expect perfection with over 80,000 employees) I feel that the company in all fairness, is willing to help their customers the most. I know I bust my butt everyday to ensure each and every issue that comes across is not only fixed but that the customer understands that I truly understand what they are going through, any problem they have, I take ownership and treat it as my own issue. All the while keeping engaged. At any point and time, will follow up to ensure their issue is fixed with me and only me.

I feel Verizon Wireless is hated o...

Fascinate issue

Alright so I jumped in and took a chance on the fascinate and I actually like the phone, I originally had the droid. However, I am now plagued with the bug that sends messages to the wrong contact. I've had my phone reset and eventually the problem came back. Now my question is would it be worth swapping mine out for a different one or will I more than likely have the same problem? If anybody has a suggestion I would greatly appreciate it.

Introducing the Blackberry PlayBook

If you haven't seen it yet, Blackberry announced it's new tablet, the PlayBook.

1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16 or 32GB models, 3mp camera on front, 5mp on back, 1080p HD, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 7" screen. Does NOT work with wireless service unless you tether your existing Blackberry to it.

THANKFULLY not as freaking huge as an iPad.

It's a nice looking device, I must say. Impressive, especially for Blackberry.

BOLD Issues

My brand new BOLD has a radio issue where the signal jumps from 80 dBm (best) to 115 dBm instantly (no signal).
When it does that, I cannot use the phone.

I read somewhere that this is and has been a problem with some Tours and now Bolds.

Is this something I can Fru it for? Gosh I hat to do a FRU but I guess because the phone is so new, I might possibly get a new replacement as opposed to a re-furb?

Any thoughts?

No more MultiMedia Phones

Anyone see boygenius reporting that they are no longer going to require the $10 data requirement or classify phones as "3g multimedia"

Doesn't extend to current phones but going forward they dropped that stupid requirement!!

I apologize if anyone else posted this.

Prepaid and Visual Voicemail

Can one of the new prepaid smartphone plans have visual voicemail? I am trying to set up my uncle's phone for him and it seems to be blocking VM.

If he were to decide to do so (I have offered), I understand he can cancel this prepaid account (one week old - under 30 days) and then I can put him on my family plan.

I am wondering if I will be able to do a AOL for his account so that his number (from the prepaid account) can just roll over to my family plan?

Sorry - I know I ramble and make little sense - my wife tells me that all the time! LOL!
