JD Power Wireless Call Quality Results for '06...

Go here:

Verizon and T-Mobile did very well, US Cellular and Alltel did well in their home markets, Sprint was mid-pack, and Cingular finished last in almost every region. 😳

Oh well, those orange "We got the best network" Cingular billboards are still kinda cool-lookin' 😉

Verizon UI isn't so bad. Please do some research

It's funny how so many people on this website bash the Verizon UI and think Motorola's UI is so much better than Verizon's. You really need to think again. What you need to do is go into a Forum such as the V3 forum for Cingular and just LOOK and READ for a few minutes at the number of complains for the Motorola UI. Also take a look at the V3i and the SLVR negative reviews. It's all complaints about the UI locking and freezing and shutting down on it's own. These are things that never happen with the Verizon UI.

If you reply to this message I really hope you have a good explanation to why you think the Motorola UI is so much better than verizon's UI.

Besides verizon locking the OBEX which more than 52 million customers could care less ...

Where do the new Verizon phones show up first?

I keep checking Verizon's website for new phones - but where do they get posted first? Best Buy, Circuit City or Verizon's site? and will they be in the stores before the web sites list them? I have LG 4400 and it has been a great phone but my NE2 is due ...

One More Question =)

Okay…does Verizon have any internet plans like T-Mobile? Not like using your phone as an internet modem or anything but a plan like T-Mobile’s T-Mobile Web. You can check sports, chat, search things, e-mail, ect… It’s all unlimited too. No data or airtime charges for being on it. Does Verizon have something like this? Sprint?....Prices for either of them? I checked both websites and can’t seem to find anything…

Thanks Again

Why???

I have verizon, and am happy with the services, but why does verizon keep blocking all of the cool stuff on there phones like easily being able to goin and make your own ringtones off of your computer? I know you can, but they make it so difficult, don't they make enough money off of us to let us have a little fun without paying for it. You have to trick your phone in to letting you put ringtones, and backgrounds on it, this kind of earitates me. I wish I could have good service, and a phone i can have fun with without paying an arm and a leg, but I guess we all probably want the same thing!!

New to Verizon from Cingular - Question

I was with At&T wireless?Cingular for about seven years and I had noticed a huge decline in service over the past six months. I have never seen so many dropped calls in my life as well as terrible conections. To be fair to Cingular, I have was using the old TDMA service instead of their current GSM service. I can't not comment on their GSM service, but because my service was terrible, I decided to give Verizon a try. I have two weeks to try their service and my wife and I are trying it as we speak. She is is using a sleek Motorola V325 and I am using a bulkier Nokia 6556i phone. THe phones and the service seem to be Ok. She wanted a pink Razor, but I am not crazy about those phones. Yes, they look really nice, but I honestly question the dur...

THE ONLY POST THAT MAKES SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Competition is a GOOD thing ! ! ! ! !
by Want_New_Phone Today, 7:32 AM

Quarter after quarter, VZW beat Cingy. Quarter after quarter VZW became more arrogant and restrictive. Cingular catching up to VZW in terms of key stats can be nothing but a positive for those of us who are Verizon customers.

Let the Cingy/VZW reps flame each other to death about who’s #1. As customers, we need to keep in mind that these numbers ain’t a football score and Verizon ain’t our team. It’s all bidness and the hotter the competition between the carriers, the better it is for us.

SIM on CDMA question

Got a quick question about something. Does anyone know was there ever a talk about putting SIM cards on the Verizon or CDMA network? It was just a question do to the fact I just got a new VZW phone and had to go through the pain staking process of transfering all my number over one by one. And yes I know I could have went to VZW store and paid the 5 or 10 dollars to let them do it, but just didnt feel like going out there.

A friend who has a T-Mobile phone which of course is on GSM was shocked to find out that VZW didnt have SIM cards. which I am sure everyone knows you can just pop it out and pop it in your new phone.

Does anyone know of any plans in the future for this? it seems like it would make life much easier. Or is this just ...

Sprint and Verizon keep talking bout their new this or that 3G EV-DO stuff....so what do you think?

LG 8300 Headset?

Does anyone know if the 8300 is going to have a headset jack? Based on the limited pictures online thus far, it doesn't look like it. I just like the idea of having some sort of hardwired back up in case the connection or battery on a BT headset dies. There are USB headsets available for the RAZR, think these would work?

v3i v. v3m

so some people have stated that these two phones are basically the same with the exception of one the v3i being gsm and the v3m being cdma. are they the same phone physically too? from the pictures ive seen the v3m looks more like a v3c than a v3i, with the lack of the seemingly larger exterior display and blue light. am i right?

CALLING ALL TRAVLERS WITH VERIZON WIRELESS

I am in a bind. When I went to a local verizon store, I looked at some dual-band phone that are all digital. They dealer asked me if I traveled to rural place and I answered yes. He said that they Tri-band phone would benefit me more with coverage. I am always travling from KY-TN-GA-FL-Alabama. My question is of anyone relies on an analog signal when traveling though these states? I have checked the Verizon Personal Coverage checker on there website, but it says not to rely on these maps. I already know about eastern KY being mostly analog. Your info is greatly needed!!!!
