Will iTunes Phones come to VZW?

I did a quick search for 'iTunes" on this forum and didn't see much discussion so I thought I'd ask.

Is there any change we'll see an iTunes phone come to Verizon? From my understanding Apple's contract with motorola is not exclusive, I'm not sure what kind of arrangement they have with Cingular.

I'm eligible for my new every two promotion next summer and am hoping VZW may have some new phones that include the iTunes software by then.

To VZW Agents & Customers from Customer Care

I work in the Customer Care Dept for Verizon Wireless and there are a few things I need to get off my chest.

(1)If you signed up for MyAccount in order to get the $20 credit on your bill, I must mind you that it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles for this credit to appear on your bill.

(2)If you return equipment to VZW through Fedex, please be sure to keep your tracking number. If the package comes up missing and you are charged for not returning the equipment, there is nothing VZW can do without the tracking number.

(3)Cusromer Care cannot credit you for returned equipment. Only the warehouse can credit you for equipment when they recieve the equipment. Customer Care can be submit a request for you to be credited for the equipment but it ...

what is the matter w/ verizon??????????

I'm soo frustrated!!! I have been waiting and waiting for verizon to step up their selection of phones, but they still are slacking!!!! All of the other carriers have huge seletions of phones with a varity of features and sizes. Verizons phones are still huge and bulky! Their new line up of phones is almost worse than there phones now! The samsung 970,850, 630 are all an inch or more thick!! While other carriers have phones that are .85 inches deep. With the exeception of the Razr, all of Verizon's new phones to be released are pieces of S***! This is soo frustrating, can't verizon just step it up already!???!

Sales Tax on Full Retail Price When Bought Discounted?

So I've done a bit of research and can't think of anywhere else where when you purchase a product at a discounted price, you are charged sales tax on the full original price of your item. I recently re-enrolled with Verizon Wireless and was charged tax for the entire retail cost of the phone even though I was getting it at discount. When I got to Macy's and buy $100 shoes at 50% off, I only pay tax on $50. Why the discrepancy?

Any lawyers looking for a challenge?

Cost per net add. Cheaper at a retail store, or indirect agent?

Anyone wanna take a stab at this? And back it up with numbers?

BitPim over USB for Motorola and LG contacts

I am looking for the most effective way to backup and restore phone contacts to and from a PC. I have the following phones, all on Verizon, Motorola V276, E815, V60s; LG VX-4400, VX-8100. The PC would be used as backup for the contacts (calendar too if possible), and for easier data entry.

Syncing with Outlook (old 2000 version) would be good, but its not critical. The outlook database is way too big to fit on the phones, so "syncing" requires manual intervention anyway. Maybe setting up categories for the contacts that go to the phones could work, but in my experience, either software bugs or human data entry error make this type of automation unreliable.

I plan to use Excel to massage, sort and otherwise manipulate the contact data...

Customers don't know what they want....

This Wireless Consumer Protection Act thing is crazy. (I realize it's not a real document) It's crazy because customers have no clue what they want. 😕

Take the Assurance of Voluntary Compliance (AVC), that was supposedly a great thing for the customer because it disclosed everything you as a consumer said we were not disclosing. Well, let me say that everytime we tried discussing that, 75 out of 100 (not an exact figure) customers said "I'm not interested in hearing this, just send me my bill". So the AVC was scaled back slightly to save time and then customers complained again because they weren't getting enough info.

The wireless industry is almost a LOSE LOSE industry. If we were to sell the phones at full retail price, pe...

To corp owned retail stores

We have a VZW corporate store nearby my agent store.

WHY are these corporate people telling customers that Asurion doesn't cover damage to the phone?

This must have been my 13th customer in the past week that our local direct store has lied to. The direct stores are telling these customers that Asurion does not cover a physically broken phone.

Ideas anyone?

Whats going to keep Verizon number ONE?

What will the gap of the furture look like?

Does Verizon just have to many pros for anyone to ever compete?

Adding Data

I am thinking of parking my v710 (Verizon for voice) and my 7520 Blackberry (Nextel for email) and get the Blackberry (Verizon) 7250. A few questions.

1) Can I just add the Blackberry (I'll buy it from eBay) with the unlimited data plan and NOT extend my contract? Yes I do know that my bill with go up $50 a month.

2) As for this particular Blackberry, anyone have any experience with the ringer? My Nextel 7520 is way too low for my old ears ;-')

3) Any overall impressions of the Verizon Blackberry would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I will now give into temptation!!!

lol, after reading the announcment of the Treo being offerend by Verizon beginning Jan/Feb 06 I think I will finally give in and jump on the bandwagon. Not saying I will leave Nextel or Alltel just will have Verizon service now which I have told myself I would never get Verizon's service. Starting the first of the year I will be another bastard child of Verizon 🙂

Welcome me with open arms...

Any new phones coming out? The ones they have now are pretty big and bulky, for the most part. Any new ones?

New Phone(s) Are Out...

Both the Samsung 630 and Samsung 850 are out now, if anyone wants a cute entry-level flip with speakerphone. Personally, the lack of external display is a deal-breaker with me on the 630, but I'm a bit interested in the 850- a decent 'bail out' phone for me if the Nokia 6256i continues to drag ass getting released. I'm just happy that Samsung has FINALLY got religion on speakerphones... took 'em long enough. 😕

Oh, and apparently the LG VX9800 is coming quite soon... VZW's really hyping it on their site:

I personallly have no use for one of those phones with a QWERTY keyboard hidden inside, but it is quite cool and if I texted a lot I'd probably want one. One of my buds at w...

Cingular gets kicked out of Better Business Bureal for 1 year.

This is for those of you customer there are leaving verizon wireless because of that god damn $0.40 Administrative fee to go to cingular. I hope you never come back.

I just whish we could tell these customer when they come back that their business is not welcome anymore.

I get calls from customer saying that Team Mobile told them to call verizon wireless and cancel because of this fee. What kind of Provider uses a sales pitch like this? Same thing with Cingular. These providers are a joke. Lucky them that there is all kinds of idiots out there that would fall for anything.

When I get a call from a potential new customer I tell them our coverage is better which is a key selling point of the product I sell and not some kind of fee t...

Verizon inpulse information

Does anyone have details about Verizon's inpulse service? I think Verizon likes to change the rules on the fly and doesn't post specifics on a service anywhere. They said some thing about a .99 daily fee, which could mean $30/month just to have a phone without even using it. Wanted to know about that. That was the most important...because all the other prepaid wireless plans are free and you just pay for minutes....ALTHOUGH Verizon seems to be the only one with FREE nights which is very important.

If you have ANY info regarding this inpulse service or if you have it....PLEASE fill me in if you can. Thanks!
