WHEN: Samsung SCH-A970 or LG VX-9800

Does anyone know when VzW is scheduled to offer either of these phones?

Anyone insiders have an idea of the price?

Price after 1 yr?

I was just curious if you get a discount on Verizon's phones if you upgrade after 1 yr. into your contract. I am on a 2 yr. contract of course, but would really like to upgrade around Christmas if any new stuff comes out, and at that point I will have had my contract for over 1 yr., but not yet 2 full years.
thanks!

Cingular expelled from BBB in Upstate NY!

I guess it's not so hard to believe that Cingular would be kicked out of the Better Business Bureau for having so many complaints, many of which go unanswered.
Only confirms how bad their service is.
In Chicago, Cingular ranks dead last in both customer service, and call service per JD Powers survey and Consumer Reports. Verizon and US Cell just about tie for first. Cingular also has the highest complaint rate with the FCC. Nationally, US Cell has the lowest complaint rate, followed by Verizon. Verizons complaint rate is double that of US Cell (because both get relatively few complaints filed with the FCC). Cingular's complaint rate is many times higher than Verizon's.
I guess Cingular really has raised the bar -- on bad service.

Verizon customer for 2 years now...Renewal questions

I am new to the site and was referred here by a Verizon rep when I went into the store to talk renewal and using my NE2 for a new phone. I spoke with him about the E815 and the 8100. He referred me to this site and suggested that I do more research on the two phones or I could choose to wait for 2 upcoming releases from Verizon. I've been browsing here throughout the day and you guys seem to really know your stuff! I have a request if anyone would like to give me some advice.

First of all, I have heard non-specific details about Verizon "crippling" or "locking" features on phones. I don't quite understand what this means but I would be rather insulted to find that a brand new phone I just bought was unable to perform certain options ...

If true... amazing. Verizon may finally be starting to GET IT when it comes to what consumers want out of Bluetooth.

New to Verizon - have a few questions

I just recently purchased a phone through Verizon Wireless, and had a few questions with regards to the service. Anyone who can answer any or all of these questions will instantly be in my good graces 🙂

1. Is the first month's service prorated? If so, are the minutes prorated as well?
2. What text messaging plans, if any, are available? Please be as specific as possible in regards to price and messages included.
3. When a plan (America's Choice 39.99, if it helps) includes domestic long distance and roaming, is that organized by state, or is that organized by regional area?

Thanks in advance for any and all information you provide.

Is Motorola getting better?

I remember the Motorola StarTac (786😎, that phone was a tank. I swear you could throw it off a building and it would still work. Then came the not so great Motorola V120 series. Then the abysmal T720/T730 series. The V60 series rebounded some (the V60c/i were pretty decent phones) and that takes us to the V710 and E815. Those are doing fairly well.

So, just wanted to get some opinions on this. Please, this is not a Motorola bashing thread, but simply a friendly poll. 🙂

hidden contract extension

i just changed my 650 plan to the 4000 min unlimited data plan , did anybody realize that VZW requires you too extend your contract date? I had 6 months left they just added 18 more months, This was the first I heard that they can change your plan by just saying it nothing in writing? I don't believe verbal contract are legal?
Has anybody else been illegally extended. I am about to pay the 175. and tell them to stick there service you know where. 😲

Question for upgrading.

A customer has just purchased a game with unlimited use for his handset. A month later he decides to upgrade to another handset. Is the purchase of that game transferrable to the new handset? I am sure ringtones are not...but would games be?

Quick Question

Technically speaking can't someone walk into a VZW store and purchase any cell phone at retail price, sign up for any Americas Choice or any other plan for that matter and choose not to have a promotion and not be bound to a contract?

please explain inpulse

how exactly does it work. i checked out verizons website and am abit confused.
1) $0.99 daily access. thats about $30/month
2) $0.10 per min. since i don't pay for a plan with bulk min then i must pay per min.
3) unlimited incalling and nights - cool
4) activation fee up to $35. uptp? could it be free?
5) $20 setup fee?
6) $50 airtime package. i thought this was pay as you go and not prepay.

this sounds expensive.
