V710 for Cingular?

If there is a RAZR coming out for Verizon, shouldn't the V710 come out for Cingular? ☚ī¸

Here is a dumb customer story

So this guy comes into my store and starts ranting and raving "this phone is the biggest piece of s#*$ ever" so i ask him to calm down and tell me the problem. As it seems he paid an E.T.F. from alltel to switch his two lines to verizon so he could get better ring tones and then was mad when he couldn't get the one that he wanted ( the lg 8100 wont let you outside sound files as ring tones) so i ask him if he would like to try a different high end phone that could (moto e815) and this grown ass man starts pouting like a little girl and then starts throwing a fit and says he wants to cancel i regretfully obliged him and our store policy is to charge a $20 restock fee per phone a fact that he was made aware of at time of purchase and i swear t...

They uncrippled the MP3 player on the 8100? And 6256i thoughts...

http://news.vzw.com/news/2005/09/pr2005-09-02i.html »

Interesting... this is probably to counter the expected announcement tomorrow of the iTunes-Motorola phone for Cingular (with others likely to follow later). Another case of competition being a GOOD thing.

Have to wonder if this is part of why the Nokia 6256i was delayed too. The spec sheet for it at Nokia's site says the 6256i has no MP3 player, but the 6255 upon which its closely based does have one.

Perhaps VZW reversed course yet again on MP3 functionality once it saw the iTunes phone was going to happen, and is adding it back in to the 6256i, thus lengthening the delay? As a former QA person, trust me, you do have to re-test all the software when significant functionality is...

HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEW ORLEANS!

Hey for all of you that work in a call center...I was reading in the lounge and someone had a good idea. You know how you get points for being late and stuff like that? Well yall should organize a drive where if you bring in a case of water or food then you get 1 point back up to 5 points and everything is sent to NO. Please relay this on to your supervisors. I feel really strongly about this...These are AMERICANS DYING!

HELP!!! I think I've made a costly mistake!

This is NOT a rant/complaint and I will be posting this same thread on the LG VX-8100 forum.

I've been with VZW for a month now coming from Cingular. I left them after 6 years because of lame CS and MANY full-bar dropped calls.

I love everything about VZW EXCEPT the clarity of most of my calls --which is not a minor problem.

I've gone back and forth all month, doing comparisons between both providers while I still had Cingular --and although I found the CDMA quality to be a bit "darker" than the GSM, about 50% of the time my calls sound like mumbling, as if the callers have their hands over their mouths.

I also get the "gargling" effect as well.

Is this truly what VZW quality is about? Or is it just the model of phone I have (...

Looking for a good carrier....

Hey everyone! I am desperately looking to get away from Sprint! The only things I like about Sprint are their cellphones & their Ready Link service. I was looking at Verizon, Nextel, & Cingular. I was wondering which one of these offer the best Service and features. I am looking for PTT service, Early nights, and mobile to mobile. Most important is the ability to make phone calls!! I hear Verizon is reliable so I wanted someone to help "sell" me on their service. I will post this in the other forums to see what everyone says. The reason I wanted to post it here is because I see there are a lot of cellular employees posting in here. Thanks for your time. 😁

New phones by thanksgiving?

Do any of you know when verizon is planning on releasing a new selection of phones? Like specifically what months? The selection that they are offering now is getting boring. I heard that they're planning on a Razr, but i'm really hoping for a new slider with video and camera.?

ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS OF EVERY WIRELESS CARRIER

HEAR ME NOW AND BELIEVE ME LATER...

FREE PHONES ARE GONE AND THEY ARE NEVER COMING BACK...ALMOST EVERY PHONE NOW HAS A COLOR SCREEN AND THEY COST THE CARRIERS TO MUCH MONEY TO GIVE AWAY. IF YOU GET A PHONE FOR LESS THAN $100 YOU ARE VERY LUCKY MINE COST $400. AND CONTRARY TO POPULAR OPINION IT DONT MATTER IF YOU HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 10 YRS OR 1 YR OR IF YOU SPEND $20 A MONTH OR $300. I HAVE HAD PLATINUM CABLE FOR OVER 5 YEARS AND PAY $100 A MONTH AND THEY HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME A FREE TV...REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU CALL US...

THANK YOU,

YOUR FRIENDLY CARE REP

Amazon Question

I already did a search on this, but the thread was huge and full of rants, so it was difficult to find out any useful information. I don't want to start the whole "which is better" debate...I'm just looking for some facts and this is the best place to ask with the most knowledgeable people. What I would like to know, however, is what is the disadvantage, if any, with purchasing a phone and contract from Amazon? Can I add additional options later, like insurance? Can I walk into a Verizon store with my phone and get a software upgrade, if needed?

Thanks

Brian

Poor Customer Support

I am nearing the end of a two-year VZW contract with a Samsung SCH-i600 SmartPhone...the most expensive cell phone I have ever owned, and by far the worst. It has been replaced twice for insurance reasons, and twice for technical problems (low mic sound level, lockups, and more). Unfortunately, all the replacement phones exhibited the same problems as the first.

In January, after two service replacements (one reconditioned, one new) that did not resolve the problems, VZW offered to replace the i600 with a different model, but there was no other model I found satisfactory. I didn't want something as large as a Treo or a PDA, and there were no other SmartPhones. I had to learn to live with the i600, warts and all.

After many more problem...

Need help from a VZW sales employee

I went into my local store tonight and I think the rep had no idea what he was talking about
Currently we have four family share lines with 900 or 1000 minutes
On one of the secondary lines which is 15 months into a 2 year contract I wanted to do an early upgrade from my crappy kyocera kx414 phone to the new lg 5200. The rep said I couldn't do it because I wasn't eligible and you can only do upgrades on the primary line (and I told him I did an early upgrade on another secondary phone at the same store last year and he said nope. He said you will have to go through executive services or call CS for that đŸ‘ŋ )
I also wanted to add two more lines so that would make a total of 6 lines for our family share. He said you cannot have 6 line...

And This Was My Night With Verizon CS

I am eating dinner and I get a call from someone who is with Verizon Financial - tells me that I owe $357 and if I refuse to pay then Verizon will immediately turn it over to a collection agency. I tried to tell this guy (actually he sounded like a young kid) - that we took out Verizon servie in July and we didn't like then phones (the LG 8100s) so we returned them within a week and cancelled the new service with the intent on waiting for new phones to come out. The guy wouldn't listen and told me that he wasn't going to listen to my sob story and that he was hanging up and would turn my account over to collections. I was livid! I called Verizon CS and after speaking with three different reps (and finally a supervisor) and being on the p...

Standard E815 battery in a V710?

Will the Standard E815 battery (1030mAH) work in a V710? If so will I have to buy the battery door of the E815 and put it on the V710 so it will fit? Trying to increase the battery life of the V710 without increasing the bulk.

Best call quality--JD Power award goes to....

This came out a few weeks ago, but, in case some of you haven't seen it, here's JD Power's ratings of call quality, by Region. Verizon is no. 1 or tied for 1 just about everywhere.
T-Mobile seems to be second. Cingular is consistently near the bottom.

Tracy Martin - Question for Verizon Reps

What up Verizon Reps:

Question, for the past year or so we have been getting a call from this lady who claims her name is Tracy Martin who works in the Cranberry Woods call center in tech support. She calls in stating she has no access to her customer's account and would like us to verify some information like the name that goes with the mobile number, if the account is hotlined or not, or the customer's full name.

Now, we all as reps know this isn't the way Verizon Works. Why would a tech support rep be calling customer service to verify information. Sometimes she will call from a totally different region to get info on an account..claiming she's from a call center in Texas or California. When we call her out on it, she tries to c...

Mini SD and LG VX8100

Is there any way to get my pics I take from my phone and get them onto my Palm Pilot? I took a pic, but my Palm doesn't recoznize it. It sees that something is in a folder and is taking up space. The same thing happens when I place a pic on my Palm and try to see it on the phone. It says that memory has been used, but I don't see anything.
Please help! đŸ˜ĸ
