I'm currently on the AC 450 minute plan. I understand that at any time during my billing cycle I can have the plan changed to 900 minutes, retroactive to the beginning of that billing cycle, without proration, at an added cost of $20 for the billing cycle. If I do that, I will be on the 900 minute plan for the next billing cycle, as well. Is it possible at any time during this next billing cycle to retroactively (to the beginning of this next billing cycle) return to the 450 minute plan and to be billed for only 450 minutes for the entire next billing cycle?

I went into a Verizon store to get information on a BT phone becasue I want to use it like I use my Sony and Motorola. With those phones I can drag and drop my pictures to my Laptop as well as text files and the like from the extra memory slot. I kind of use the 220 as a USB Flash.

So the guy tells me I can't do that with the Moto 710 or even the new Razor (which is a total waste without the ability to transfer the MP Pictures)

He says I can buy an unlocked 710 and activate with Verizon and have all the BT features. Is that right?
People have asked me why I pay for both Verizon and Cingular phone service. Well there ya go.

i was told that the current plans end at the end of october. after that, the plans will be renewed or new plans will be offered.
any news on what will be available. i would love to see the $59.99 family plan come back.

Has anyone here ever opened or worked for a Verizon Only authorized reseller? If so, what are your experiences?

i was at a verizon store on thur. to tranfer an address book on my lg4400 and i saw a tech downloading a patch file. i asked what phone it was for and he said for the 8100.

sources tell us verizon will officially launch ev-do in the bay area at midnight tonight, but i can personally confirm that ev-do is now active in san francisco. the e815 i'm reviewing is now steadily showing "ev" not "1x" as of about 3 hours ago.

and it seems i can not use my cdm-9100 or a friends vx-10 so it seems like i will need to buy one...
i am looking for the cheapest alternative since at the current time money is quite scarce...

can someone please give me some suggestions, and if possible where i can buy one

I am due for a new phone in October 05. Does anyone know a place to find upcoming Verizon Wireless phone releases? I would hate to buy a new phone in Oct, only to have something better come out around Xmas.

Everyone has been awaiting the release of the Samsung A970. As I understood it, the phone was to be released on September 2 - but according to a few Verizon employees (on Howard Forums) - the release date was pushed back to October 18 (which I can understand if they want to do more testing or perhaps ensure that the investory is sufficient, etc.) - now according to the A970 thread - Best Buy has begun selling this phone as of yesterday. If that is true (and it appears to be) - then what sense do you all make of this with Verizon's decision to delay the phone another two months if it is already being sold by a third party?

CDMA Expands by 27% Over Last Year

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has reported that the number of CDMA2000 subscribers grew by 17 million in Q2 2005 to reach 185.6 million worldwide. In the first six months of 2005, CDMA2000 added more than 39 million new users and 73 million since June 2004. In addition, the CDG announced that CDMA is growing at a rate of 27% annually and garnered 13.6 million new users in the last quarter and close to 58 million in the past year, bringing the worldwide CDMA subscriber base to more than 270 million people.

Close to 68% of all CDMA users now access CDMA2000 3G services.

Does anybody have any clue about how much the new cdma razr will cost? I gotta start saving my pennies, so if anybody has any clue, please let me knoe.

Ok my two year contract ends January 06, but unforunately my phone is damaged and I just decided to get a new phone rather than fix it. The people at verizon say that I HAVE to wait the full two years or pay the full retail price in order to get the phone. Here's the funny thing though I called Customer Service and they said I could do something like Early Upgrade or something like and I could pay regular price w/ another 2 year agreement. Which side is telling the truth? Hard to believe these people are both working for the same company. By the way, I'm the secondary line of a family plan if that helps...Please Help.

Has anyone heard of any new software updates coming out to make the V710 more like the E815? (ie. view clock on outer display when phone goes dim, use speaker phone while flip is closed). You would think with all the praise the E815 is getting something would be done to improve the V710 since there are so many V710 owners.

Does anyone know why when i go to my msg outbox- some of the messages are checked off and some of them arent? I have been trying to figure this out and still have no idea.. Cuz it seems that the check marks will come to some messages like a day later. lemme know

Morning, question for you CSR's out there...

Scenario: Boyfriend and I are both in the early stages of two year contracts (he has a shared plan w/two lines, $120/month, I have a single line $40/month). We are moving in together ... when he moves in can we change his billing info to be in my name, address, etc., and then can I call into CS and switch all lines to one family share plan without having it considered me 'terminating' my agreement(s)? I realize I would have to start another 2 year deal.

Or, do we both have to finish out our own two year agreements before making any kind of switches.

Every so often, when researching a new phone, I'd check out Phone Scoop and was always amused at the bickering in Forums about what was best phone, what carrier has best coverage etc.

Now I'm ready to add my support to the Verizon bashers. After 11 years as a loyal Verizon (going back to Bell Atlantic Mobile) customer, their lousy customer service is forcing me to seek divorce. Tomorrow I am porting all 4 of my Family share lines to Cingular.

I won't knock their coverage, but don't believe anything positive you read regarding VZW Customer Service. It is terrible and they do not stand behind their products.
