1Yr vs 2Yr

Besides the extra money for the phone, are there really any disadvantages to going with a 1yr contract upgrade?

Also, on a 2 yr contract, they allow early upgrades after a year if you are on a qualifying price plan correct? And if thats the case why would you spend the extra 50bucks for the phone and sign a 1yr vs a 2 year?

Verizon Vs T-Mobile

you all are dumb.

Verizon has better coverage than Tmobile yes. however, do you need the coverage Verizon boasts so much about? Seriously, most verizon customers only use their cell phone around town and in their homes, places that Tmobile get the exact same coverage around, and V Customers are paying up to $20-$30 more per month for this! Unless I go to BFE (ButF****ingEgypt) then my Tmobile phone works great, and in some places better than verizon, if I ever travel outside the united states I will also be able to use my quad band GSM phone.
If I do not like Tmobiles selection of phones I will buy a European or Japanese phone off Ebay like the Nokia N90 (look that bad boy up you Verizon Fan Boys)

Streaming Video... Vcast only works ...

Questions concerning new phone releases and bluetooth

I plan on upgrading my phone around the middle of Sept. I was wondering if any of you knew of any phones that have VCAST AND BLUETOOTH other than the LG 8100 and the Motorola E815...

I just bought the HS850 Bluetooth headset, if I replace my V710 with a new bluetooth phone, it will still work, right?

Thanks,
Lauren S.

Hi Guy, Verizon question please

Thank you for any input

If verizon has a one year manufacture warranty on all their phones, what is the benefit of getting the insurance? Why should I pay more each month?

Thanks guys, so much to learn. Trying to make smart choices before I sign up.

Biggest complaint for CSR's

Being an Indirect agent I would like to know what the biggest complaint against us (indirects) is from Customer Service Reps are. I know my company and my employees do not call into cust care very much at all because we constantly train over and over, however I do realize there many indirects (as well as corp stores) out there that dont have the training sessions that we provide.

I would like to have a calm discussion about what some of the gripes are. I honestly would like to know what some of the common complaints are.

Thanks

Ahh indirect thinking they are corp stores!

I just needed to post a gripe of mine. There is a small indirect store in my area that has a history of screwing customers over or not giving proper customer service(most of the employees really have no idea what they are doing, and the owner will do anything to makecash). So anyway instead of having the sign that says the name of there store (xxxxx xxxxxxx wirless) they just have a huge verizon wireless sign. So in my store, all I get is I went to the verizon store on xxx rd and they told me this. Or I get huge complaints about how bad the Verizon Store is on xxx st. I wish they would put up a normal business sign instead of a huge verizon sign so I stop getting so many complaints!

Remember me and my v710?

I finally got an exchange about 3 weeks ago..this phone is doing the same things (drop calls and then wont allow me to make or recieve. Repeating text messages. Turning of and on again) Actually to be honest, it's worse. (Now the screen scrambles and freezes) I really hope I can change my device again...and I want the problems solved!!! Do I only have 90 days to go through 3 before I can change models? I really can not stand this V710.

Quick 2 Net vs. Express Network

I have a Samsung I700 PDA phone. What is the difference between the Express Network and Quick2net? I know that Quick2Net is slower does that make it cheaper? Also both use my airtime minutes correct? I dont want the data plan because I rarely sign on to the internet. I may check an email once or twice a week.

Another Billing Flaw

Well just when you think they have fixed the web site glitch, you can get all the information you want about anyone else's Verizon Wireless account.
All you need to do is dial 1 800 922-0204 from any phone, have their 10 digit cell number and their billing zip code and then you can pretty much get a lot of information about anyone else's Verizon Wireless account.
I wonder if they really know about THAT flaw 😉

An interesting article about verizon wireless.

Verizon Wireless Website Fault Put Data at Risk
Verizon Wireless identified a flaw in its online billing system which enabled customers to view other customers' account information. There was no indication that anyone took advantage of the glitch or that any customer financial information was disclosed. The flaws didn't enable access to phone numbers associated with customer's incoming and outgoing calls. The malfunction did allow a user to view another subscriber's balance and remaining airtime minutes in the current billing cycle. (Source: The Washington Post)

Verizon Web Flaw Exposed Customers
NEW YORK, August 12, 2005

Verizon Wireless customers who signed up for online billing services were able to peek at some details of others' accounts due to a Web site programming error that was caught by a customer and fixed this week, a company spokesman said.

The flaw allowed customers who punched in another user's phone number to see how many airtime minutes that person had used, as well as the number of free minutes they had remaining for the month, spokesman Tom Pica said Thursday night. Snoopers could also learn what cell phone model a customer used.

All users who registered to use the "My Account" system were affected...

Moto 815 or LG 8100??

Hi All, My NE2 is due and I'm looking at either of these two phones. I've read the reviews and had a chance to play w/the LG (sadly the moto in store and kiosk were dummies, what is up with that??).

I have an LG vx6000 right now and really love my phone, this is the first time I've had a phone for two years! So, of course my head leans toward LG based on my experience. I also know moto to be a good company, good products, etc., and am looking for just a little more input.

Anybody have one of these and return it w/in the 15 days? Any chance of me getting my BREW apps from old phone to new phone or am I SOL on that? I have a couple games I paid for and would like to retain them. I know VZW will do the phone book transfer for $10, ...
