treo 600 for 650

Has anyone had any luck getting an upgrade to a 650? If so what did you do? I have had serveral probelms with the 600 and have had it replced like 3 times and they keep sending me a stupid 600. I am eligible to get a 650 at sale price in Oct, but i dont feel that I should have to pay 400 when I just bought this one a year ago and it has just been full of problems

See how cingular compares to verizon

Europeans have it all over us when it comes to cell phones. They pay about the same price each month for their wireless services, but that’s where the similarities end. Their phones do more and Europeans do more with them -– more messaging, more use of online services and, of course, making and receiving more phone calls.

There’s a good reason for the difference -- their service is way better than ours. Through all my travels -- in major cities, on highways, on country roads and even “the middle of nowhere” -- my cell phones (I brought a few to test) always worked. They constantly received near perfect signals. My boss had a similar experience recently. Traveling through Wales -- in cities, towns and even on rural, one-lane roads -– he a...

Nextel18

Hi nextel18 i am posting this thread to test your knowledge on cdma, evdo, gsm, and gprs. The reason for this is that you seem pretty knowledgeable on phones and carriers just wanted to see how far it goes. The test, I was wanting to see if you know the hardware components that make up cdma and cdma with evdo, then the same for gsm and gsm with gprs. and lets add one more gsm-gprs with umts added on then to top it off what are the difference's between cdma-evdo and gsm-gprs-umts. just a friendly test. 😁

Mac OS and VZW

Anyone else excited about VZW finally admitting that the PC cards work for Mac? The PC5220 has worked since it was launched...but you had to be pretty Mac savvy to get it to run. I guess all VZW needed was to hire someone who knows how to troubleshoot a Mac...

Another angry RS customer

Customer bought his phone at RS. It has a warranty repair problem. Radio Shack tells him they must send the phone off and it would be a couple weeks, or he could drive a half hour to the nearest tech. He said they told him they NO LONGER provide loaner phones for the customer to use while his phone is being sent off.

I guess that is what seperates me from them. Oh yeah, they sell phones cheaper...but that is why. The old, "When you signed on, you signed with Verizon Wireless, not Radio Shack. All we are is a sales agent, not a service center" stock response. But hmmm. I sell someone...I keep loaners for them to use. I sell them REAL insurance, not that profit item they call a service plan. I make that trip every morning (I liv...

Re: VZW Bloze

I have been a customer of Verizon's for two years now (granted not very long indeed - only had a cell phone since '03). The only problem I have had with them so far is billing: 1) A refund that was due to me that didn't get posted until four (4) months later for a return of an office sync-kit and 2) A charge for data services that I never used. In rectifying the problem, Verizon has been pretty decent. My charge was finally given back and I was reinbursed for the data services, albeit, after paying the charge on my statement for that month, the credit went towards the next month's bill. My point is this, no matter how wonderful a company is, NOT ONE COMPANY IS PERFECT!...you have to take the good with the bad. Until Verizon's customer s...

Upcoming phones

Does anyone have a list or knowledge of any upcoming phones for verizon? I currently have the lg 6000 but need to upgrade and am not satisfied w/ any of the current phones. I am thinking of getting the lg5200 when it is realeased and paying retail for it (i dont think it is going to be too expensive) to hold me over to a phone i really want. If not i am thinking, and i hope i dont have to do it, jumping ship to suckular.

Thanks

the stupidity of the average customer is mind boggling.

i have worked for verizon as a salesman, tech, and cust service rep in about 4 diff stores. it seem slike every day the customers set new records in human stupidity and ignorance. its even more disturbing to see they are just as dumb when they post on this website, ive checked these forums here and there for a few months and some of the complaints ive read are nothing short of ridiculously stupid. you say us vzw reps are ****y? hmmm i suppose we should be nice to people who come in with an attitude demanding a free phone because we have 'ruined their life' because YOU dropped your phone in the water and we cant get your numbers out. and if you drop your phone, or get it wet dont come into the stores and have the first thing out of your ...

You know what!!!

First I like to thank everyone who help me out with my questions. I got verizon service and although I have nothing to compare it with just seems fantastic.I got two E815 and the phones sounds like a land line to me. Now to address my subject statement " You now what" this site is addicting I find myself coming back here to learn more about this industry. It's allot of fun to read all these post by you folks. I don't know if I can stay away. Thanks again 🙂

Upgrading Online

I saw some other threads about this but did not quite get what I was looking for. I'm finally eligible for my NE2 and I want to get the LG 8100. I'm ordering online b/c I would prefer to wait a few days for the phone instead of waiting a few months for the rebate. How long does it normally take to get the phone? If I decide to return the phone can I just take it to a store? I know they can reset my contract back and my NE2 date if i do return it but does my contract get renewed once I order it or do they not do that until I call it in when I get the phone.

Thanks in advance

best camera phone for verizon?

I'm looking into getting a new camera phone through verizon and I was wondering what your opinions are on the best. I have the motorola v265 and the camera is AWFUL! I know its a cameraphone and not a digital camera but I'd like something with better quality photos than the phone I have now. Thanks! 😳
