VERIZON IS KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my 2 Cents.

I just had 2 weeks of horror with Cingular.
I had been with Verizon for 6 years until I saw an ad for A free RAZOR phone with cingular so I made the plunge thinking I would love the razor. NOT!!! piece of ---and motorola's menus are wwwwwAAAAAAyyyyy 2 complicated compared to LG's. anyway! I sent the the razor back loosing that number and then went to the cingular store to set up a new account with the sony s710a.. Great phone, kinda delicate though.

Cingulars sales people told me that Verizon was way behind in the data end of it when I asked about browsing for ring tones etc.. she said cingular has a data side and a minute side for calls and that you had to browse and listen on the internet first... and for t...

I love VZW. I love Cingular.

I feel like a bisexual man. I swing to both sides. (you can laugh now). Oh yes I do. And just like most openly gay/bisexual men or women I am proud to say it out loud. I love my 2 cell phones. The service I get from both is exceptional. I hope I never have to choose between one or the other. I wouldn't know what to do!
I think it's silly when people come here to bash other companies. There will always be differences between companies, this is what makes competitiveness.

Need Reliable Information From Professional/Experienced Verizon Reps

Instead of posting this on the LG and/or Motorola forum - I figured it would get more play here. Like many others I am still trying to make up my mind about getting either the 8100 or the 815. Reading all of the forums - I get the idea that both phones are far from perfect. They both seem to have their positives and negatives - and I'm talking about the basics (reception/voice loudness and clarity/ringers, etc.). So over the last 24 hours instead of one phone rising above the other - this still seems like a muddled subject. I stopped into a Verizon store last night and the manager told me that they sell 40% LGs and yet only about 15% of all their service work involves LGs (indicating that Motorola in the long-run has far more service work i...

We have 48 million plus customers, there may be a wait.

Remember when McDonalds listed how many billion hamburgers that they had served on their signs? We need a similar sign in our stores. Customer get aggravated when they have to wait, 30 to 45 minutes is not uncommon in our store. And we're a large store with usually 4 or 5 sales people working. But employees have to take a lunch sometime. I explain to the customers that when it is their turn they will be given all the time that they require to meet their every need. I then ask them, you want the same focused attention when its your turn with a sales person right?

I'll be glad when analog is dead.

I will be so glad when we are rid of the analog towers and network. It will be so much easier to sell phones to customers and not have to debate the analog/digital issue.

Using VZW phone w/Sprint service??

I have a LG 4400 phone that I want to give to a friend. He is a Sprint customer. On Ebay, I saw that people were selling Treo 650's from Sprint, that were "unlocked" in order to work with Verizon service. Anyone know if this is possible with other CDMA phones such as the 4400?

If this is possible, do you think there's any chance of finding a Sprint or VZW tech who would do this?

Thank you.

New VZW PRL?

Is there a new PRL bouncing around? I noticed on Mountain Wireless that there may be one out with an "interpretation to come".

Need new phone: Samsung n330 vs. Motorola e815?!?

I'm up for NE2 and I desperately need to get rid of my old Samsung. Its on its last few days of life and I've been waiting over 6 months for a decent Verizon phone. I want a basic phone that makes calls, is not cheaply made or looks like its cheap and can fall apart on me. If it has bells and whistles, great, but I really don't care about that stuff. So as of right now I've narrowed it down to 2 phones (E815 vs. N330), which really can't be compared to each other.

I checked out the Motorola yesterday at the store and it looked clunky and cheap. I'm not sure what its predecessor is, but the original Motorola phone that was out about 2 years ago (looks like the V60p) looks sturdier. I've already read about people's various complaint...

WHERE THE HECK DID VZW GET THE NERVE TO SEND UNSOLICITED TEXT MESSAGES TO MY PHONE!

I just received a text message soliciting me to subscribe to a call package to Canada. I do not recall any authorization given to send these solicitations to the cell phone. In fact a supervisor informed me that I probably did not specifically opt-in for this type of notification but suggested that VZW can change plan etc at any time without notification to subscribers. I mentioned that yes they can although they must maintain existing commitments to customers. In addition they must notify customers after such change is made. None of this was done!

I just got off the phone with VZW exectives to learn who oversees this activity and why in the world they would set this up as an opt out scenario?

My research indicates this marketing s...

VERIZON IS RAISING RATES

I see on my bill that verizon is raising the text messaging rates, for incoming rates, it is going up to $.10..from $.02, 👿

text messaging is going to become a thing of the past for me, I tolerated the 2 cents, but, now it is ten cents both ways, that can add up, I would do the bundle, but, you have to do that on each phone, would be nice if they would have a group price for everyone on your sharetalk, like $10 for the unlimited for everyone on your sharetalk lines, instead of the $5 each line. USCC has verizon beat here, they charge zero for incoming text messages, and ten cents for outgoing. Oh well, didnt need to do text messaging anyway, but, if you do a lot, be aware, august 1st, rates go up...

Best Phone for Bad Reception?

I work on the 10th floor of a 14-story building in downtown Washington, D.C. Outside the building and on the roof, I get five bars on my Motorola C333. I am in a room where my phone indicates "No Service". Ten feet away but still in the room, I get one bar. At a window about 30 feet from the room, I get between 2 and 4 bars.

What current phone should I get in order to get reception? Of course, I also want to be sure not to drop calls in strong reception areas. Is it true that the phones with the best reception on all bands are phones with an analog mode (meaning that I should expect the Motorola E815 to have worse reception on digital bands than Motorola V710)? Should I expect to get reception with any phone?

When Will LG-8100 Appear On Verizon Web Site?

Yes, I know I can purchase it now at a retail store but I can go through my wife's corporate account and purchase it there for an additional 30% off (at least the 815 is 30% off so I figure the 8100 will be the same) - they usually get their phones on the site as soon as Verizon has the phone in their master phone page. Just wondering if it will be in the next few days since July 14/15 are supposedly the offical release dates.

Thanks
