Does anyone know if there is a use for this button? It's just below the volume switch and the instruction book just says it is a "side button" but unless I'm missing it says nothing about it anywhere else in the manual. A generic Palmone guide calls it a "customizable button"

Hey everyone, I just step up my phone from the LG4500 to the V710 with my new every two. Luckily I got it for free. Anyway. I got 2 question. 1 Is there a way to transfer the ringers I have from the 4500 to the 710? Also are there any sites out there people have heard of were you can get free ringers for Vz phones?

I'd like to replace my damaged but functional antenna on my Audiovox 9900 with a genuine replacment OEM antenna, but I want to make sure I can easily install it before I do. I was told that my antenna should simply unscrew. Is that correct, or is there any trick to removing the old and installing the new? (When I try to unscrew my antenna, it moves a few degrees, but then stops.) Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks.

With most wireless carriers, there is animosity between customer service representatives (CSR) and retail sales representatives (RSR).. these two sides within the company have been butting heads and arguing over policies for a long time now, and they rarely agree on anything..

I'm an RSR and have a few bones to pick with alot of CSR's out there.. First off, our "early upgrade" policy should not be offered to everyone and their moms that calls in. Here's my concern. We have the old AC, and 2 lines. I'm now eligible for NE2, for the primary. If I want to buy a new phone for by husband's line (the secondary), am I going to pay the promotional price for it, or will VZW treat me really unfair and charge full retail? It would seem to me that since I won't be able to do this without signing 2 new contracts for each line, I should get the promo price for the second phone. Of course, I'm not nuts about signing new contracts either, but I don't see any way around that. The plan we have now has way more minutes than we use, and there is no plan with less minutes. A new contract will be an increased monthly cost for us, no matter what.

Is there a way I can obtain insurance on a phone I bought through a third party (not verizon store). It a brand new phone... but its not from a verizon dealer. Are there any third party cell phone insurance programs out there?

Is it me (sorry I am an indirect agent WirelessZone) but everytime I try to help a customer with a problem and call C/S I always ask for a vzw paid employee. I have had so many problems with outsoured C/S reps. I mean is it really rude for me to just hang up on certain people? I can almost tell now if they know what they are doing just by hearing the greeting. I hate it when I call 5 different reps and get 5 different answers to the same problem, all the while my customer is getting mad so I let him leave and then I get some a$$ who wont let me talk to them because I am not the customer............ currently comparing cingular and verizon. i'd prefer to go with verizon as my boyfriend has it and we can get mobile to mobile, BUT i have yet to see a phone i like. i'm looking for an attractive, lightweight, candy bar with NO FRILLS. no bluetooth, no camera. the current candy bars verizon offers seem clunky and unappealing to me. does anyone foresee anything COOL coming out in the next few months??

I'm currently on a 54.99 family share with two LG 4400s. My 2-yr contract is up in three months. When I renew, I will hope to double my minutes and I would like two new phones, but both need to be the same so I don't have to learn a whole new phone that my wife would use.

Want a camera and love bells and whistles, but I need coverage, so AMPS seems like a requirement

Therefore it seems I have two choices:
-- LG 6100
-- Moto V710

I've been researching the differences and I think I'll (we'll) be satisfied with either phone, but does anyone know if in the next three months VZW will introduce any new phones, with analog, that may be better than the two mentioned above?

I've been waiting for the 650 to come out, sounds like I can order it now or pick it up early next week. Now that its here I have a couple of questions on cost.

1) How much is the phone going to be?
2) Do you need the 44.95/mo data fee to access the internet? Or can you access the internet via the 7.99 MSN internet plan?
3) Is the 44.95 plan for accessing/wireless syncing w/ email only - and is there any other way to sync up email without LIVE emails. I simply get too much email at work and don't want my treo getting alerts all day.

I guess thats it for now.. I'm new to PDAs, but plan on picking up the treo next week.

i was just recently finding out that you can in fact get a cdma/gsm phone to work on verizon...does anyone know every new phone like that or any link that would lead me to them?

Is there any thoughts of bringing back Voice Gear? I know that VZW is late getting into the Bluetooth/Car arena with hardware but another area they are lacking is voice recognition dialing. Cingular and Sprint both offer voice independent dialing service which will permit owners of many Bluetooth equipped cars(Toyota,Lexus,GM,etc.) to use voice dialing. Even though the phone may support voice tags these are not accessible over Bluetooth.

I am currently with Verizon, and if all goes well, I will be renewing my contract this fall.

I need some input on the phones that Verizon carries. Can anyone give me some input on the best phone to get. I basically need a tri-mode flip (or clamshell) with a good battery, good phonebook and features, and the absolute BEST speakerphone that I can get. Camera is not a priority...

Any suggestions or personal experiences?

i saw verizon has a new gsm phone, i was gunna go buy it but i wanted to make sure i could use unlocked phones now...can i get the sim card and use an unlocked phone or am i stuck with that phone only??
