Is the Motorola A840 Out?
Hey Bear! Question re: N330 network roam option...
I just got my new Samsung N330 on Saturday. All in all, it's a good phone and it's a nice change from my LG-4500. But I have one concern...noticed if I powered down the phone, then turned it back on that the network roam option always resets itself to "home only". As far as I know, here in S.F., CA., I should be on "automatic B". I was having some earlier issues with background noise being "clipped", and signal strength/connectivity...but that went away when I switched over to auto-B. It's not really too much of a problem, for I leave my phone on 24/7...but more of a nusence. My LG-4500 I could power off/on and it would always stay on auto-B. Is this something that is just programmed into this Samsung, or could it be a defect...

Verizon Service...coming to my area?
When calling Verizon customer service and giving them my zip code, they said they weren't licensed to sell service in my area at this time. The tower is supposted to be on by the first week of June, according to the contractor working at the site.
Any insight to Verizon Wireless buying some spectrum or licenses in new areas?

New Every TWO
1.Motorola v710
2.LGVX-7000
3.Samsung a670
Out of those 3 phones which one would be the better choice and why? Even though all 3 phones would be free for me. I am trying to make a good decision on which one.
Thanks
VzW phones required to have stub/extendable antennas?
techsavvy.textamerica.com writes...
Motorola announced that it will be offering a new CDMA version of the RAZR V3. Sadly, the initial version of the handset will not contain A-GPS and therefore will not be viable for the US market, with its E911 requirements.
The CDMA RAZR will first show up in Korea. Motorola claims that it is trying to cram the needed chips into the CDMA RAZR so that it can be brought into the US market.
noteable change with the new handset, which will be known as the MS550 in Korea, is the camera. The new RAZR sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, which is a significant upgrade from the GSM RAZR V3's VGA unit.

I am the Chairman and CEO of a major US corporation and have directed my VP of Operations to post this message in every venue that might gain the attention of any Verizon executive. After thorough study and research, including that of other reputable firms such as Consumer Reports, my experts selected Verizon as our company’s carrier, primarily because of their superior customer service and quality of coverage (fewest service holes, dropped calls, ect.). Based on an internal company survey, my direction to my procurement division was to choose a handheld phone device that most closely replicated...

Treo 650 availability?
Early Upgrade Defined
Also: this discussion is limited to calling plans that are $34.99 per month and higher, and shareplan lines that are associated with such plans.
If you have a single line plan that is somehow less than $34.99 per month, your eligibility for equipment discounts is very limited, and it’s really a whole different ball game.
If the phone was purchased on a one year contract , a “standard upgrade” is available when you reach the point where it has been 10 months since the date you purchased your phone. If the phone was purchased on a two year contract, then a “standa...

VZ phone with bluetooth and EVDO? What are my options? Sammy 730?
Currently, I have a V710 with verizon for my voice, and the t610 (T mobile unlimited internet plan) that I bluetooth to with my Pocket PC to use for Data. Originally I thought I would be able to use the 710 but...thats a whole other thread.
Basically I would like to be able to purchase a VZ phone with EVDO on it, bluetooth to it and use it for data for my PDA (if the 730 comes out I wont need to use my PDA) or my laptop.
Im really anxiously awaiting the Samsung 730 but worried that verizon will disable one thing or another on the bluetooth, and not let me tether the devices to use the EVDO capability as an access point. Also, If I use an EVDO enabled 'plain' phone with bluetooth, I can have my choice of PDAs as well, as...
