Here are some tips to know. Verizon is on a very aggressive telemarketing kick. You must call there customer service line and request to be taken off all call lists. Other wise you will get lots of call for you to renew your contract.

Also when you go into a store or over the phone make sure you know what you are paying for. Verizon like to combine the promotions. The price you see on the display has all kinds of charges on it for things you may not want. All ways ask for a brake down of what you are paying for.

At the time of purchase make sure they you are taken off all marketing lists and get a brake down of all you are paying for.

Know what you want when you get in there do you want a toy or a communication device....

My first contract with Verizon (a 1-yr) will be up in August. If I re-up for another 1-yr contract instead of going month-to-month, am I

1) Eligible to get another phone at the 1-yr contract price?

2) Able to upgrade my phone at said price a month or two before August?

Hey All! I currently have an LG-4500...love it, easy to use, but thinking of trying something different. I don't want a camera phone...so my only choices are currently: the Samsung SCH-N330...saw a model of one in the store. Seems like a real cool phone, but wondering if that pop-up screen will wear out fast. How does it perform signal & call quality wise? Anybody have the Kyocera KX1 aka-SoHo. The only thing about this one, no side keys for volume. Also, does anyone know if Verizon is going to get the Nokia 3155? I sure hope so! Then the Samsung-330 won't be my 1st choice...I'll wait for the Nokia! Opinions please! Thanks!!

As some of you may know I'm a cingular rep with a verizon phone. (no cingular in my area...I know it's ironic) Well today is the day to update all our phones (3 in all) and add a new line of service. (our 2 year contract is up). We were on a 35.99 plan I believe. Now that you know the sitution..here's the problem

We keep getting the run around!!!! I've talked to 3 reps today, and one even put me on hold for 30 minutes! We are completely aware of the new every two and we would like to take advantage of that on our main line of service. But no one can give us a straight answer. How can I get my 100.00? One rep says it's 50 instant and 50 mir with the phone...but that doesn't make too much sense since this is for existing...

I have a few questions on trial period and renewing that I hope someone can answer. My apologies for the long post but it provides the info for the questions.

About 5 to 6 weeks ago having lost my phone (it was close to dying anyway) I bought the Moto V710. I returned it when I discovered that the bluetooth was crippled. When I returned it to Circuit City (which sells Verizon service and phones) I specifically asked the rep guy to make sure that they put me back on my previous plan which was the older 400 min plan.

At that time I was not under contract so they said to get the discount and NE2 I would have to be on the 450 plan (same price). The rep assured me that he returned me to the original plan I was on before and that I would be...

I just got my phone and I am very excited about the idea of new ringtones. I am NOT excited about using get it now. I have MMS on my account (well I just signed up for the unlimted in-messinging, but I still get 50 extra messages.) So...can I some how format my music on my computer and e-mail it to myself? The only programs I have are Itunes and Windows media player and real player...can I do this somehow?!?!?

Or do I need to get a cable from my computer to my phone?

For the most part I enjoy working in a call center and work for Cingular right now. But I am tired of driving 40 miles roundtrip ( in Seattle traffic! ) to work- and was thinking of applying for to work for Verizon's call center in Bellevue, WA. I was just curious of anyone out there works there and know how much they start at. I have four years customer service call center experiance and three years of retail. I currently get paid $25K a year. I don't hate working for Cingular by any means but gas is just getting too expensive and by cutting my commute in half would help a lot. Any pros and cons for working @ Verizon?

Just a thought, if ARPU is down for cing, but their cust base is up are they not still making more money? Just because people have switched to lower rate plans and each customer is bringing less money to the company is not necessarily overly impacting on overall revenue when your customer base is the largest in the industry.

I'm no business analyst, so there's plenty of room for me to be wrong...sorry if that's the case 🙄

Regardless of subscriber base, it cannot be refuted that VZW is still the recognized market leader. I am not necessarily arguing that they are the cheapest, that they have the best phone selection, or that they have the best customer service. I am just speaking on public perception.

Saying that Cingular is the number one company now and that VZW is number two isn't entirely accurate if you look at things from that standpoint. If VZW purchased a decent sized regional carrier this yeark, what would Cingular proponents have to say then? I believe that VZW would of course regain the top spot in subscriber base, but it would not have gained the number one spot in overall public perception. Hey Y'all... So I'm putting in a computer in my car and I'm looking to get the PC card from verizon. This is the only one that was EVDO tech. which means it should be the fastest. Anyone have one that can tell me how it works and all... What is average speed for downloads and so on... Is it a pain in the butt to you when you go from High speed Comcast or something to that... I'm looking to use it for regular internet downloads, emails, the works... Also any problems or issues with it? And just a review in general. Sorry I know it's not a phone and this is all for phones and complaining what service is better but I figured I could get an answer here. I just want to get the fastest one, I can wait if anyone knows of a newer one coming out that...

Hey, I've seen many usb cables with software.. and says with that software can be used to download ring tones and get pictures off your phone....does this cost anything? Can I download pictures without having some kind of charge?
