Phone analog capable

My NE2 is due in July so I have begun my search for a new phone. With my new job I travel quite a bit to areas with little service. I travel with co workers that have tri mode phones and they have no trouble making calls or receiving calls. So if there is anything new coming that is analog capable please share. I don't care about all the bells and whistles just need a phone that gets good reception, durable, and reliable. Thanks.

I'm looking at the V710 but if there is something similar coming this summer please let me know.

Thinking about leaving Verizon...Thoughts?

Went into Verizon the other day to get a new phone...and I'm sick of the lousy phone selection...there are plenty of cool GSM handsets available. I know there are some network differences, but come on...how bad can they be. Looking for some thoughts here. Thanks! 😉

Regarding: Bluetooth functionality and the Motorola V710

Dear Sirs:

Ok, I understand (now) why Verizon disabled the movement of data (ringtones, mp3s, photos). You (Verizon) figured out a way for the customer to pay for these transfers. Smart, slimy business for not telling the customer upfront and then outright lying saying the problem would be fixed with an update sometime in November of 2004, but smart.

What I really wanted my phone to let me do was synchronize my contacts and calendar. I could care less about the camera and mp3 player, I...

Tuning phones??

This is just a question I've had for a couple days, and being in the GSM biz myself, I have no clue as to how it works...

I was speaking with a customer the other day that unfortunately was having some problems with his phone, and we had to troubleshoot and determine he needed a new phone etc....

Well, this guy was smart as hell, and pretty tech savvy. He was telling me how he used to have vzw, and moved outside of the coverage area and that's how he ended up with T-Mobile but was asking me if we can "tune" his phone like vzw did...SO...I had of course no idea what he was talking about I asked him to elaborate...He said that if thre was ever a service issue in his area, the same area he's been all along, his phone would start dropping ...

?'s about working for VZW

I am currently a T-Mobile Employee but am moving back to my hometown of St. Louis, MO. According to the job site you have a call center there. Does anyone work there? How's the atmosphere? Do people usually get a long or is there a lot of politics? How's the chance for advancement? How's the pay? How's the benefits?
By the time I move I will have around 3 years of wireless experience. HS diploma, 1 yr away from bachelors of science in business for college.
I hear that VZ pays really well.
Please...any information would be great!!!!!!

For TMobile in my first full year (2003) I was a Customer Pro (top 10% of my call center). In 2004 I was a Customer Champ (top 1% in the NATION).

Any ideas of what kind of money I could...

Samsung A570?

Anyone hear tell of this phone yet? Someone posted that the sku was already showing up in the system at Radio Shack, and a few show coverage articles said it was slated for a Q2 release.

Employee Discounts & Share Plan

Can a Verizon employee or anyone in this sitution answer this...

I have an employee discount of 20% through my employer. If I want to change to a Family Share Plan (for this example, assume the 1000 minute plan of $79.99 for 2 lines), where will the discount be taken from?

Will the discount be 20% off of the $79.99 or will it only be off of $69.99 because there is no discount on the 2nd line (assuming it's $10 for the 2nd line)?

The website says that the 1000 min is $79.99 for 2 lines.

Look who ranks in the top again and who is in the bottom.

By Dan Meyer
May 16, 2005
BOSTON-Verizon Wireless trumped all other telecommunications providers in the latest online customer respect survey conducted by research and consulting firm The Customer Respect Group.
TCRG said the index was a qualitative and quantitative analysis of a customer's online experience when interacting with companies via the Internet. The index takes into account a Web site's ease of navigation, responsiveness to inquiries, respect for customer privacy, customer focus of site, policy transparency, and principle in valuing and respecting customer data.

Verizon Wireless received a consumer respect index score of 8.5, just nipping Nextel Communications Inc. and Sprint Corp., which both posted scor...

So how is that Verizon bluetooth lawsuit going?

Hello,

Now I know this has been discussed a lot, but I talked to a Verizon Wireless agent and he said that Verizon won't be able to restrict bluetooth acess for much longer. I use bluetooth all the time, sending contacts, transferring pictures; and if Verizon would stop crippling it I would switch over in a heartbeat. I'm with Cingular (Crapular) right now, and the reception isn't the best. Do you guys know anything?

thanks

New Samsungs

This morning I noticed a new sku for my radio shack store. It was a samsung A570 I have not seen it on this website. Does anyone have an idea of what type of phone it could be. Full RS price is 229.99 meaning 2 yr is 29.99. There is also another samsung on the way I think it is the 690 or something similar to that number.

phone choice w/ adr entry

I picked up the VX7000. Not so happy with the sound quality.
Also, my old Kyo had a note area to enter a physical address or whatever for a contact.
Are there any other good VZW phones that anyone can recommend that have that extra field in contacts?
Thanks
