adding new phone

I want to add a third line to a existing Americas Choice family plan. How do I go about doing this easily and what kinds of discounts would I get on a vx7000 or a vx8000?

Open Debate: Verizon Not #1? Phones? Answers here

For the guy (or lady) that said that Verizon won't be #1 you need to take in the facts.

1) There are different "categories" as far as what #1 defines. For example, #1 in Customer Satisfaction, #1 Customer base, #1 Network, etc. It's true that with the recent AT&T/Cingular merge that they do (and probably will maintain for a while) the #1 customers. But, it took a MERGER just to do that. They would no way have gotten more customers than Verizon any other way.

2) #1 customer amount does not determine #1 network, which Verizon will maintain for quite some time. If I'm not mistaken I can recall news stories from unhappy customers stating that with the merger that the all ready "horrible" service got worse. Cingular/ATT does not have a stro...

Verizon Discount

I have a 20% discount on my phone line. My wife and i want to get one bill and get a family plan. we will get "more" min too since she uses it more then me. She wants it in her name and i am worried i am going to loose the discount. Anyone here know if the discount is tied to the number? or should i just transfer hers in my name. Also would i get 20% off the family plan or only part?

Little advice needed

I am just finished with my Nextel plan. I couldn't wait for it to be done. (Terrible service, two phones stopped working for me, the phones would just turn themselves off and then freeze while in a direct connect call). That being said, my fiancee and I are getting a family plan with Verizon. I am not sure what I should do yet. We were originally thinking about getting 2 LG vx4700's and getting the America's Choice with PTT. Now I am starting to question that decision and am thinking about going with the Motorola V710 because it has so many features to offer. My decision would be so much easier if there was a phone similar to the V710 with PTT but alas there isn't one yet. I just read about the V266p which will have a camera and PT...

authorized resellers

i'm looking at the lg 6100. it sells for $69.99. i'm looking for a better price and had much better prices from authorized retailors in the past. i visited 1 in a nj mall and 2 in ny and they both had this phone for $99.99. this makes no sence why they are more expensive then verizon stores.

can someone recomend any local authorized resellers to give lower prices?

thanks

The Ultimate Phone

Ok, so we all bitch about the lack of good phones or options so i wanted to post this and see if anyone wanted to add on to it to describe the best phone they could create in their head....I would like to have a Slider type phone the size of the SE 47 w/ just a tad bigger screen, Decent camera, Speakerphone a must, Bluetooth would be real nice, voice dial that when you hit a button and say greg it calls greg and not have to speak "dial" then "greg" then "yes". Improved battery life, or at least as good as the lg 6000, i think the 6000 sleep mode is key for its good battery life. Vibrate, Ring, Vibrate then ring, and vibrate and ring. MP3 player would also be great.

Anyone else want to add on??? within reason?

verizon will get MCI

with the SEC suing 7 qwest executives I do not see how the Qwest bid will prevail.

I know I'm dreaming, but just in case Verizon is listening...

I've been with Verizon for over two years now and I have been ultra happy with their signal service, customer service and my phone (Moto T720...after one exchange 😉 ). Although, I'm starting to wonder about the 6$ a month charge for phone insurance. Anyway, I'm about do for a new phone and I have been looking for news about Verizon releasing some new models and apparently this is an on going theme for everyone. I've read several threads asking for postings of what is missing from the Verizon line-up; so here it is from a regular old Joe Schmoe:

A cosmetically good looking, small, slim, light weight flip phone, w/ external caller-id screen, color internal screen, an internal antenna and good memory...No camera, no blue-tooth (Get it ...

Who Has the Best Coverage Maps?

Copied from Mountain Wireless.
Last year the cellular carriers dodged a bullet when they agreed to provide more accurate coverage maps to prevent it from being required the feds. All the major carriers subscribed to this "Cellular Consumer Bill of Rights." What has happened since then?

-By far, the clear winner is T-Mobile. They advertise their street-level coverage maps which are available both in their stores and online. They are very clear, detailed and even show quality of service.

-Verizon comes in second with a detailed review of the coverage of individual plans, differentiation between native and roaming coverage, and whether the coverage is analog or digital. Verizon's coverage and agreements change quickly so the maps have ...

Why Verizon hurts us so much.

I work in the telecom dept in an unnamed, large company. We have around 600 cell phones, plus just under 200 blackberry units which may or may not have cell plans turned on.

Over 500 units are through AT&T side of Cingular. About 85 are Verizon. The rest are scattered through other carriers.

If I have ANY issue for any AT&T/Cingular number, I can call one AT&T Business Services number and any GSM rep can answer all GSM calls... a TDMA (digital) rep can answer all TDMA calls. Two destinations, one number, every normal request is solved quickly.

THE VERIZON ISSUE

If I call Verizon with 6 changes for end user phones accross the country, I potentially have to talk to a different department for each number (i.e. a New Englan...

Why Doesn't Verizon Buy Out US Celluar?

Can someone tell me the reason why Verizon does not just buy-out US Cellular? They have been their rural roaming partner for a while now and I am sick and tired of traveling out into Maryland, especially the Cumberland and West Virginia area to do business and i am always stuck on the Extended Network once i cross the Mason-Dixon Line.

Back to Basics

I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon Wireless last July. I was persuaded by Verizon's reputation for a solid network. I'm happy with the network - but unhappy with my phone.

I'd had a Nokia 6190 phone. Black and White screen, nothing fancy. The girl at Costco told me the phone I ended up buying, an Audiovox CDM-8900, was just about the best. She said it had won awards and that nobody ever complained. It's a clamshell camera phone with all the bells and whistles. But, the only thing I like about it is the clamshell design - it's nice to forget about locking the keypad when I stick the phone in my pocket.

The camera is pretty lame, and I have about a 30% success rate in sending pictures to my email. The color screen seems pointles...

question on changing ownership

2) if so, will the phone number for the plan be lost or will it count like a phone number transefer from another carear?

thanks
