Got the New E815 Motorola!!!!!!!

Great phone! Sent back my 8940. When this phone comes out everyone, Almost everyone will be very pleased. Software is so so fast compare to my 710. Speaker sounds stereo and so loud. Volume is great. Color and design is AWESOME. No more scratching on the screen and the flip above the camera. Camera works so much better. When navigating the phone sounds like a pda. I am finally very happy with a phone. Cant complain about nothing!!!!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁

VCAST video clips and the mini SD slot on the 8940

I have a question specific to the Audiovox 8940. Is it possible when viewing a VCAST video clip to save downloadable clips to a mini SD card?

Thanks in advance.

Is VZW's selection of phones that bad?

Seems like the biggest complaint I hear in this forum is the "poor selection" of phones available on Verizon Wireless. Most everyone seems to find the call quality and customer service very good, or at least acceptable.

In checking out Cingular's selection, I don't find any phones there getting the high marks of the phone here at VZW. Phones like the LG 7000 and LG8000, and Moto V710, Samsung A670, etc., all get very high marks here, and are all quality phones. Cingular has the Razr phone which looks really cool, but is expensive and gets an avg rating below 4.0.
So what's missing? Just better bluetooth or other features? As far as phone available with Cameras, Speakerphones, Voice Dial, and, most of all good call quality and recepti...

VZW software for Sprint phones?

Can't find the URL anymore to re-program a Sprint phone with VZW software (allowing it to work on our network).. I saw Sprint Treo 650 a month ago working on our network, so I think I'll give it a shot.

I know somebody that is about to get a new 2 year contract. He is planning to get a a-670,but i told him to get the UTStarcom/ Audiovox CDM8940 with the rebate price and i will trade him my a-670 and some money for his 8940 so i wont have to pay 400$ dollars for it.Is it possible for me to activate the 8940 on my account and the a-670 on his. 😕

Question about new "No Roaming" AC Plan

I had some time to kill so I called VZ customer service yesterday to inquire about the new No Roaming plans. I just changed my plan a month ago so I was already on the AC 450 for $39, but I changed over a few weeks early to get the no roaming plan.

I asked the rep exactly what the difference was between the "old" and "new" plans because when I pulled up the coverage map nothing appeared to have changed. The rep told me that there was no difference in coverage, the difference was in your roaming lists. On the "old" plan (the one I'm on) if you're roaming your phone will indicate it is roaming and you'll be charged the $0.69 a minute. On the "new" plan, if your roaming your phone will simply say "no service" and you won't be able to make an...

Talked to both Verizon and Cingular reps today

This is NOT a bash on either company! I looked at both today and decided to stick with Verizon. Cingular had some nice features such as the roll-over minutes and Bluetooth but I stopped and looked at what I wanted to pay a month and what gave me more options. My budget is 75.00 a month for both air and data useage.

Cingular had 900 Minutes for 59.99 but I was confused about having to pay 24.99 a month for Unlimited web browsing. I do use that feature a lot and that was one of my main complaints with Verizon using my airtime minutes.

Verizon also had 900 Minutes for 59.99 but 15.00 more gave me unlimited web-browsing, a faster net-work connection (in my area) and v-Cast. The other thing was the in-network calling (most of my frien...

Numbers

I cant wait until the end of this quarter, to see how the numbers look like. What do you guys think? Do you think Cingular will surprise us once more in the add-ons dept?

That one evil thing that makes you want to punch a tree...

Anybody notice how the text/web alert/voicemail indicator volume is totally independent of the Samsung a650's main ringer volume? If you want to put your phone on vibrate, you have to turn the main volume down to vibrate AND go into the messages menu to put the message indicator volume on vibrate as well. Maddening I tell you!

Verizon Reps...Seeking guidance on old AC FT plan

O.K. here is my question for the experts. "Can I still change price points on an old (pre 1/17/05) AC Family plan from the AC4000 plan to the AC3000 minute plan?" In order to eliminate extra suggestions I am not interested in extending my contract right now due to uncertainty of the need for extra lines come July-August (No, I do not want one of the new FT plans.)

Thanks in advance for the info.

25% More Anytime Minutes ? Maybe not...

Odd... in my local paper (the San Jose Mercury News) it had a full page advertisement for the new no roaming America's Choice. One of the more promiment things mentioned was "25% more Anytime minutes on select plans!", yet when I go to the VZW site, I see no xtra minutes for any of the AC plans for San Jose.

So what's up with that? 😕

New NO Roam Plan?

I have a question for a verizon rep that see's this.

Is this automatic for everyone, or do you have to call in to make the changes. So another words, if I am content with the way it was before the no roam map came out, am I able to stay the way it was, or is it the next time I dial *228, option 2, my phone will change to the new map...thanks

New Push to Talk

I was in the VZW store today and I saw that the new PTT released today. I was waiting for this, however I was a bit diasppointed to see that the Motorola V65P was not released. Does anyone know when this phone will be available for the new PTT service? Thanks
