I obviously work for VZW, but, I think this goes for every Custoemr Service Rep in the biz:

1: The person that calls in and says: " There is no possible way I went over my minutes!!" They have a 400 minute plan and have made over 2300 phone calls that month. Yes, I know realistically, you can place 2300 phone calls in off-peak and never use a peak minute ,but, the odds are that you just went over......pay your bill.

2: My husband and I are sitting on the couch side-by-side and his phone has 5 bars of reception and mine only has 3....why is that?? ANSWER:" It is the nature of manufacturing.....you can take 2 Corvettes off the assembly line that are completely identical right down to the color...and one will always be faster"

I keep hearing people complain and whine about the functionality of Verizon Wireless Bluetooth capable phones.

Stop whining.

This entire debate is based upon the fact that the end user (customer) is expecting WAY too much out of a product. A simple customer inquiry such as "Well does it work with a bluetooth pc synch?" would have solved ALL these problems.

No where on the box did the phone ever say it would synch with a pc. Nowhere on the box did the phone list that it would work with a bluetooth enabled car kit. Verizon Wireless never ONCE advertised the bluetooth motorola v710 as being able to work with any/all bluetooth connections.

If anyone feels deceived about the bluetooth functionality, did you ever ASK what the ph...

Hey you guys that work for Verizon Wireless(including myself)...how many people you think we are going to get from this merger from Cingular and AT&T? I get a few calls a day to port there number over....

Commontime.com has a software to purchase that supposedly allows sync'ing for any Windows Based and Palm PDA. Does anyone have experience with this, or any other software that allows the feature I'm looking for?

This may be a silly question, but how is it that people can upgrade to new phones everytime a knew one comes out? I always read threads where people are upgrading from a phone that came out less than a year ago, to a new phone. Are they paying regular price for the phone? Could someone attempt to enlightened me please?

Right now, VZW has 42.1 million customers, and new Cingular has, I believe, 46.6m (some say 47m, but Cingular was required to divest some 350,000 customers due to regulations, and Cingular's own TV commercials say 46 million).

VZW is thus 4.5 million behind then, but they are adding new customers as a rate of 1.7 million a quarter right now, whereas Cingular & ATTW combined added around 800K last quarter. Given that, Verizon is gaining on them at a rate of nearly a million customers a quarter.

That would seem to put Verizon on track to overtake new Cingular in early 2006, right after they pass the 50 million customer mark.

Can anyone tell me how long it typically takes to get a refund for a returned phone?? I returned an unopened 9900 & travel charger signed for by Verizon back on Oct 19th per fedex tracking. Returned well within the 15 days (fedex 2 day the day after I received it) They have yet to refund me - I have called & emailed several times. Some worry free guarantee about your problem being their problem & follow up. HA - there has been NO ownership and NO follow up and still NO refund. They certainly don't let the customer have the phone for any amt of time without paying for it - why should I wait over 30 days for my $$??? What the ---- is taking so long?? Hey everyone. I'm kind of new to the whole cell phone world, and I'm trying to decide whether to become a verizon or cingular customer. I know cingular's reception sucks and all, but they have a pretty good selection of phones to choose from, whereas I'm not so impressed by Verizon's phone selections, even though I know it has excellent service. Hey does anyone got the free Lg 8000 that Verizon was giving away to selective customers. I read in the howard forums that hundreds of costumers was offered a free LG VX8000 phone. Some people got theres in the mail today 11/25/04. In order to be eligible for the phone, you have to get this letter in with your bill asking you to apply for the phone. I haven't heard anybody talking about it on phonescoop, so i wanted to make a thread about it. SO far I hear that the phone is on the big side, but is a dream phone.

Hello All..Just wanted to tell you my story from today.

I was with my sister and her NE2 comes up next Friday. I told her to call CS and ask if she can upgrade a few days early (since I was with her today and could help her pick a phone etc.). CS told her that they would put a note on her account and she could go to a VZW store and be able to upgrade.

We went to a local Circuit City (the closest VZW store is 30 min away). It had the brand new VZW kiosk. When we asked a rep about upgrading he said he can see the note CS left on the account but the computer would not let him do the NE2 until Friday. We argued to no avail.

We then called CS back, and asked them why we cant upgrade. CS says you have to go to a corporate store. ...
