I have an audiovox thera and live and work in extended network, I moved from the state I set up service in and there is no local service here just extended. when I spoke to verizon about setting up data they said it would not work in extended. just want some confirmation on this or wether it is possible. thanks!

LGVX7000

Someone told me that because the phone is all digital, that National Access (they were not very well spoken) is not available.
So here's my simple question:
Can I have Americas Choice coverage with this phone (I don't see why not) and utilize my IN calling to my family?
I think I can but wanted to confirm this with someone.

LG Phones and the 8000

I am thinking of getting the 7000 because I had a Motorola V710 and it was so fraught with problems, bugs etc. that I returned the phone and am temporarily using my old standby StarTac till I decide which phone to buy. Anyone have any "legally releasable" info on when for the 8000?
I always want the best, latest and greatest... 😉

Could this explain the '9900 is discontinued/No, its not!' ongoing debate?

How will competition help the consumer?

How do you think vzw is going to have to sweeten its plans/phone options/technology in order to compete for market dominance with Cingular/ATT?

This came to mind today when bragging to a co-worker about my vzw phone/service. He's with ATT and not sure if he should follow me and switch. I realized I couldn't have an informed discussion. Any thoughts?

New promo..?

I asked a few days ago if there were any new VZW promos coming up, and someone had responded that Nov. 1st started a new promotional period, but I don't see anything different on the website. Does anyone know if VZW is going to be offering any new promos? Thanks!

So funny it KILLS me!

I can remember that before the merge when people would glorify Cingular's future, Verizon "fans" would come back with the same remark. "We're talking NOW, not the future." And now, post-merge, all I have read from them is "You just wait...in two years Verizon will be #1"

🤣

Verizon WTF is up with the CDM9900 Delivery Service!

👿 Ok, i ordered the Audiovox CDM9900 the 10th of October, the verizon rep. said that it will come in 3-4 business days, note that i also have a samsung sch650(i believe thats right) and they didn't want to leave me without a phone so once this phone comes, i send them back my old phone. So i waited it out till the 17th and the phone didnt come. So i called back and they said ok ok, it should come by monday because they screwed up on the delivery(19th) and the phone still isn't at my house!?! what is up?

I mean i have my first day at gamestop in the mall today(i got the job) and i wanted to pick up my case when i went. Has anyone had this same problem? 😢

Switching to Verizon....

I have been seriously thinking about switching to Verizon.... I have U.S. Cellular right now, and I am not really impressed with their phone selection, and I'm not really sure if I like their plans. With all of the talk about the ATT/Cingular merger, I'm not sure if I should switch to Verizon now, or wait and see what happens with the new ATT plans... any suggestions?

Bluetooth Phones

Sorry if this has been discussed . . .

A Verizon rep told me there will be several new Bluetooth enabled phones after the first of the year. Does anyone know which ones?

Thanks

Also, a text messaging question

While I have been comparison shopping for a new carrier, I've noticed that Verizon is the only one I have come across that charges you to receive text messages.... all of the rest only charge you to send. Does anyone know why?? 😕

Understanding VZW's Coverage

I have been told that the number of service bars on CDMA phones does not directly correlate to whether or not there is good coverage where you are. What exactly do these bars mean, I can be sitting in my house with all 5 bars then I will only have 2 bars for awhile then back to 5. What do the bars signify if not the quality of coverage?

cdma vs amps/cdma

is there a big difference in cdma vs amps/cdma especially with verizon, they offer very good phones that do not include amps. And how would the reception be on amps if digital service was not available.

New To Cell World, could use some advice..

I am thinking about purchasing a cell phone. But before I do, I need some advice. Whether to go with a CDMA service or GSM.
I would like to get a camera phone, but I need service from Orlando to the Georgia border and it HAS TO COVER all of Manhatten and all of Long Island, New York. These are the areas of my up and coming business venture.
I'm not really interested in the other 48 ststes, ONLY in these two.
Thank you.
