Phone selection?

Hey guys,

I was just looking over your phone selection and see that you are basically given the option of flip phone or no phone. Do you ever wish Verizon had other phones for you to pick from?

I say this being a ATTWS (well Cingular blue) customer and having switched up to GSM a few months ago. I went from being a long time Nokia user to a Sony Ericsson T637 and LOVE IT. Can't see myself with any other brand other than SE.

Do you feel you lack selection or in general or the SE brand?

Verizon Wireless in Texarkana, TX-AR

Does anyone know when verizon is going to come to texarkana, TX-AR. Alltel has coverage in the area and i know Alltel is a big roaming partner with verizon but i was just curious. Tyler-Longview-Marshall, TX also has a substantial Alltel network but Verizon is ther also. Will Texarkana follow in their footsteps?

wut ever happened to alltel and vzw merging?

i thought i saw on here not too long ago that verizon and alltel were going to merge like att and cingular did. wut happened? i think they should really join. they would have the biggest network. they already use each other's towers for roaming...but use cdma, and both use about the same phones. i really hope they do join...that would be great

charger and earphone accessories?

is there a good place to get the jabra earwave and either verizon branded or LG branded charger for the lg 3200/6100 rather than paying 50 bucks @ the store (yes i know that comes with the leather case, which would be nice i guess)

LG VX6100

OK, does anyone know what is up with this?

I put a couple of VX6100's in service last week and noticed that the ERI is not functional. The ERI PRL is 50203, but these two phones show a PRL of 50202. I've tried to do an update on the PRL but it doesn't change.

Is Verizon planning a software update to correct this (I wish they would have "held" the phone a little longer if this is the case)?

Push to talk phase 2. Delayed again, officially will NOT launch anytime in 2004.

Checked infocenter today, and that's what it said. They're not gonna launch it till it's able to stand on it's own two feet against Nextel, so look for it in 05... Cheers!

Re: VERIZON IS NUMERO UNO

Hey ya'll. Thought this was a Verizon blog. Definitely need to rename this title.

I posted these websites a couple of days ago. The info is a year old but it's good reading. Seems no one read them. Your loss.
There are many good links associated with these sites.

Where I live Cingular & T-Mobile, followed by my wife's ATTWS TDMA, then my Verizon is the order of signal quality. ATTWS was #1. Verizon has a weak signal although I live in a very well populated suburb near an interstate where everyone drives with a phone stuck to their head. Happy Halloween ya'all.

National Access

Quick question.....If I want to hook up my phone to my laptop and surf the web wirelessly, would I have to sign up for a data plan or would I just use up my minutes, meaning unlimited nights and weekends?

Thanks for the help......

Why don't they start putting USB connections on phones?!?!

It would be nice if they started putting common/standard connectors on phones.

If your battery was low you could just plug it into a USB port on a computer to charge it.

Not have to buy some special data cable to transfer data.

It's probably because of $$$!!! Then they couldn't charge you $30 for a simple phone charger, or X dollars for a data kit....

Any thoughts???

We never stop working for you

Every time I call customer service I hear that slogan. I finally figured out what they mean by that.

I upgraded three phones on my Family Share plan to CDM-9900's and ordered another for my Mother.

I had to call CS at least twice to fix various problems with each of my phones mostly around pix messaging.

It took over 3 1/2 hours and at least 6 different CS reps to activate my mothers phone and get the billing correct.

I am truly feeling that they never stop working for me.

I guess if they could do their job right in the first place, they could stop "working for me", and go work for someone else for a while.

What Happened to the 9900?

Circuit City and VZW stores have both told me that the 9900 has been discontinued!

What Happened? 😕

cdma

why would someone choose a cdma carrier when gsm is used in 90% of the world. seems to me that being that most of the manufacturers are either european, or asian,( wich is primaraly gsm) gsm would be a better choice. in my opinion I would rather use the same product the developers use on a daily basis. also it seems that there would be a lot more products and services available for products used in 90% of the world.

New Handset before contract is up

If I want to bite the bullet and just "donate my T-730" to a good cause and get a new phone before my 2 year commitment is up, how much will I pay for an LG 7000 phone?

SERIOUS QUESTION

I really liked the tip you all had about Walmart.com with the Midi ringtones and sending them to your phone - I was wondering if anyone knew if I could make that same thing happen with my ALLTEL phone as well - my VZ phone worked like a dream - and if so, how?
