Dont' die...with Verizon

This incident happened just as stated, just for any Verizon reps who may want to discredit my story. I think other people should know how Verizon treats survivors of a deceased account holder:

I've just been through more-than-hell with Verizon. I had been a satisfied, on-time-paying customer with them for over 4 years!

My spouse died unexpectedly and the billing was not in my name; I HAD signed the original sales agreement and equipment agreement with an agent for Verizon. I live in a community property state and am the sole heir to everything my spouse had.

I foolishly called to change the name on the account and report the death and was told I'd have to sign a NEW contract, even though technically I didn't have a contract (...

Will Verizon ever get something similar to the Sidekick II?

Will Verizon ever get anything like T-Mobile's Sidekick II? If so, when?

Switched to America's Choice

And next thing I know. My phone has WORSE service than ever. I have an LG-VX4400. And at home, I used to have all bars with the Local Service. Now that I have switched to Am. Choice, I usually have one bar and am dropping calls.

Has anyone experienced this? I also had to upgrade the roaming on the phone via *228.

I'm looking to get a new phone in February. Here's hoping something cool and great comes out by then. The LG 6100 looks promising.

TIA.

Screwed by Verizon re:9900

Well trying to upgrade to the 9900 has turned into a nightmare Verizon style. I ordered the phone on the 14th of Oct. and was told specifically the phone was in stock and I would be notified if there would be any delay in shipment. A week later I called and was told it was not in stock and there was no information available as to when it may be. I have no other phone so now my options are to pay 50.00 A month for NOTHING or suspend the service and lose my only form of telephone communication. After recieving absolutely no assistance from the Customer Service Supervisor I decided to just suspend the service instead of give them an extra penny. I never knew why everyone said verizon had terrible customer service until today. Sorry fr the ...

Motorola T720........

I have been given and activated a Motorola T720. It is a VERY nice phone, not much bigger than the v60i I had.
I have heard people complain about this phone, can anyone advise me to the problems they have seen or the known problems?
Also, does anyone know the latest software version? I have 1.2.22.19C

Thanks.

FM Radio?

Does Verizon have any more phones which include an FM Radio? I had and old Motorola 710 but lost it... Is it considered old technology and no one wants this feature anymore?

Question regarding NE2

I was told today that if a person changes his plan, thereby extending his contract, that this negates his right to use NE2 at the end of the original two year period. It was unclear to me whether this is the case if the contract is extended prior to being elligible to buy the new phone pursuant to NE2 or only if the contract is extended during the time of elligibility to purchase the new phone pursuant to NE2.

Is the above true? How does it work?

Thanks.

Verizon Reps_ Porting question for 9900

Recently I purchased a 9900 at a nearby Circuit City. You may have read my earlier postings re the nightmare experience.

Anyway, here's my predicament. I live on the west coast and I want to port in my east coast number. I was sold a phone locally with a west coast number and told that customer service would port the number in. I subsequently found out that I should have been told to call east coast tele-sale and order the phone with the east coast number ported in instead. So I called east coast tele-sale, was told that the phone was in stock and placed the order. I intended to return the west coast phone and cancel the account.

Now here's the wrinkle. several days after placing the order with tele-sales I got a call saying that the p...

VX4500 vs. VX4600

I just recently signed up with ATTW with a Moto V180 phone. Already I'm less than thrilled, but I've got 30 days, so I'm starting to do the research I should've done earlier.

I'm very strongly considering a switch to VZW, and I like what I'm hearing about the LG phones. Strong, reliable connections and ease-of-use are at the top of my want list. I have no need for data messaging, and any phone with a camera is immediately disqualified.

I've narrowed my choices down to two: the VX4500 and the VX4600. I know about the voice system and speakerphone on the 4500, and those are appealing (although maybe not necessary) to me. Since the 4600 dispenses of those things, what are its advantages over the 4500?

Also, I know the 4400 is tri-mode...

Auto A and Auto B

What do these mean? Will having it set on one or the other allow roaming on different companies towers? My V710 cam set on Auto B, I am in CO, would having on A change anything?

Thx

Just bought an Audiovox 9900...

I'm worried about the programs... more specifically, the games. I'm only able to download like 2 or 3 games, yet they advertise 100's. Same with the other programs. I feel like I was ripped off. Is this just because it's a new phone? Will they port the programs and games to work with this model anytime soon?

VX6100 or the CDM9900

Ok, don't get mad at me if this was already a thread. But I went back a few pages and couldn't find it...so here goes.

Has anyone on here used (played with in store, bought, etc.,...) both phones? And if so, what did you think? Which one has better durability?
