Employees at the local Verizon Wireless kiosk had no idea what I was talking about when I asked them when the 6015i would be arriving. Does anyone here know the answer? They also claimed that the 3589i is no longer available.

I'm fascinated how there is so much talk in this (and Howard's) forum about people getting a brand new wonderfully-featured phone to just try out, with plans to return it within 15 days... just because they CAN. It appears that some folks change phones just about as frequently as they change their underwear.

No wonder the cost of Verizon's cellular phones and service is a bit higher than the competition. With all those returns, excess paperwork and wasted manpower, they have to charge us more.

Awhile ago when I had Sprint, it would automaticly switch over to Verizons towers if it lost Sprint signal. Will a Verizon phone automaticaly switch to Sprint if there is an area where there is no Verizon service?

I am in 15 day trial period with verizon after having been with Cingular for over 15 years. Home area is South Florida but I travel to Philadelphia, NY and NJ frequently and felt that VZ may be better for me. I bought a Nokia 3589i tri mode phone and when I landed in Philly this week the phone said I was on the the Alltel Extended Network, not Verizon. I also got a flashing Digital symbol and the 1x symbol. When I dialed 611 I got Verizon. I called and spoke with a number of different people in customer service, some of whom said that I wouldn't get all features -- something that is unacceptable to me. However, I seem to get my messages and call waiting worked fine after upgrading software. And they say I won't get roaming charges. I...

is there now (or recently discontinued) a motorola phone for vzw that compares to the samsung a650 or similar? I know plenty of people that use the t730 and have had no problems... but it is discontinued awhile ago... not sure if i trust samsung/audiovox or lg ....like nokia but want something smaller ..
I guess i just remember the early days of audiovox/samsung electronics... cheap and icky ... lg is just ... dunno!

i had the old samsung 650 for less then a year but the plastic casing around the antenna started breaking...is there anyway i can get samsung or verizon to take this back and replace it?

I am considering switching from T-Mobile (family plan) to Verizon Wireless (family plan), but have a question:

With regard to IN calling, does this apply in the Extended Network calling area. To my understanding, if your phone says "Roaming," that is the only time it does not apply. I assume that this is the same for Unlimited Nights and Weekends.

Another question, is the network really that good or is it just a great advertising scheme?

I am wondering about the quality of the 1+ megapixel cameras these phones have, as well as the quality of the flash. First of all, is this good enough quality to take clear 5x7 size pictures that would only be used on the computer typically anyways? Also, does the flash work as well as on a normal camera? I am asking becuase I want a decent digital camera to have for everyday quick shots (friends, etc.) and if this is good enough I would love to not have to carry around/buy two things. Finally, is there a direct connect to the computer, as well as software, with any of these phones? Thanks for any help.

I finally got to see the Motorola RAZR V3 at the Digital Life Expo in NYC, and all I can say is that the phone is just awesome. The display is so sharp and clear. The displays pixel density is looks like its HD TV next to V710. This phone is definitely on my wish list. One problem. Its only a GSM phone. Arrrgh!!!!

Why the heck are all the truly innovative phones GSM. Verizon my be the best US carrier(based on coverage), but its users are treated like second class citizens. If you don't believe me got to the list phone manufacters, then do a tally of which phones are CDMA and which are GSM. You'll find few and I mean few are CDMA. Okay, I've resigned myself to the fact that Verizon doesn't give a crap about indirect dealers (except Radio Shack, of course.) I know that I will never find really good wholesale pricing on handsets, and that to be competitive with other outlets I'm going to have to lose at least $100 on a phone. The real problem now is that I can't even GET the friggin phones right now. All my suppliers have dried up, and the few phones the do have are OLD. I can't get either of the new Samsungs unless I have them special ordered, and then they are so expensive that I can't even sell them at a fair price. The new LG phones aren't much better. was the se47 on vzw a digital only version?

.... can someone (vzw employee or other) help me? I have seen conflicting information on the 4600 ... is the vzw version trimode (amps 800) or no? third party website like letstalk.com lists it as tri mode ... but i cant find concrete verification of it... this website says it is tri mode in some versions of the phone.

I am doing my best to get off VZW with out the $175 ETF. And this is my last hope.

If I were to goto the store and say I want a new phone, which I will need to renew my contract to get (I'm around 11 months on 2 year) will the "worry free guarentee" apply.
If so I can get the new phone and cancel everything within the first 15 days. Does that make sense. I want out, and I'm willing to fork over money to activate an account with the plan to cancel it immediately, to then get a check covering costs.

Will this work? If not I'm going to have to pay the $175 and I will thats how mad I am with their service.

I was just told by a Verizon rep that in order to use the NE2 that you have to sign up for another 2 year contract to use the $100 credit. I wanted to buy the 9900 with a a 1 year contract and since my NE2 is up I wanted a 1 year contract, but they made me sign up for another 2 to get the credit. Has anyone ever got around this?

It seems like many people, including myself, downloaded mobile IM last night or today, and now can not delete it. It does not show up under the "manage apps" screen. Any Suggestions??
