Unlimited Text Messaging???

Will Verizon ever give the option of adding unlimited Text Messaging to a contract??? I used to have it as well as many friends and we enjoyed it. Would gladly pay $5 or a little more for the option. Think they will ever go to that in the near future?

Have to vent....

I have to start by saying I think VZ wireless has the best wireless service - HOWEVER - their customer service is a different story...

Initial upgrade to audiovox 9900 online 69.99 (promotional price - my contract was up 4 renewal)
hate it - returned.

call cus svc - not eligible yet NE2 - fine.
Then told by 3 more people (and in store) - yes you are eligible NE2 & out of contract...fabulous! Waiting for LG VX-6100.

Finally it's here! Call to order - no you can't get NE2 even though out of contract...full retail NO promotional price even though contract expired - what the ****

OK - calm down call again - yes u can get NE2 & are out of contract!
but 6100 out of stock? avail on web though...?

Call again (diff dept) finally ...

Best time to re-up on a contract

I am out of contract and my v60 is starting to slip. Are the holiday deals outstanding enough to wait, or if I re-up with a ne2 it really doesn't matter. Thought I would ask.

Thanks.

Picture ID

Why can't I set a picture ID from the memory card? It only lets me use my phones memory.

How do I transfer stuff from my computer to my memory card. I tried going through my camera, but it only lets me put stuff onto the computer.

Japanese market phones

I have been to a site that claims to sell Japanese market phones by Motorola and claims that they are compatible with Verizon. There are some pretty amazing phones on this site...expensive but awfully cool. Can they really be activated by Verizon in the USA? Here is the link:

Get it now phone matrix?

Hi,

This is more for the corporate employees.

I work for a indirect, and was wondering is there a PDF file or something that you have access to that matrix's phones, with what GIN apps are available for them. Maybee in Infomanager or something. I have kinda searched through infocenter and have not found a full matrix.

For example like which ones support mobile IM, weather channel, and other pop apps.

I already know that this can be done on a phone-by-phone basis on the GIN section of vzw.com

Please PM me or post your contact information if you know about my question above.

THX 😉

Blackberry

I am thinking about buying a Blackberry and using it with Verizon. I have been told by several friends that the voice quality of a Blackberry is not nearly as good as it is for most standard cell phones. I want to be able to get my email but voice quality is very important to me. Is that true, because I need good voice characteristics for my business.

Thanks for any information.

Verizon In Virginia

Does any VZW employee (or anyone else) know if VZW is planning on towers in the Charlottesville/Lynchburg are in Virginia? I have had VZW for over 5 years now and when I came down to Lynchburg for school I was upset that VZW wasnt down here. But I still get good coverage on the Extended Network but just cant send/receive pix/flix. If anyone has any info let me know... 😳

From all the comparison in the article, seems like Verizon is kicking the unholy crap out of them.

Problems sending TEXT messages to Non-Verizon phones!!!

Has anyone experienced any problems sending text messages to non-Verizon phones. I purchased the VX-7000 phone for my girlfriend and she is having problems sending TEXT messages to non-verizon phones.

Anytime she tries to send a message to a non-verizon phone the person doesn't get the message for a long time... usually hours later and sometimes the next day!!! Also, these messages never say "delivered" for the message status, but would say something like delivery unsuccessful.

She had the phone software upgraded to the "08" version, and nothing changed. Today we exchanged the phone for another VX-7000 and she still has the same problem. This really sucks because we both TEXT a lot to all our friends and each other.

She did change...

Return Policy

I purchased the Samsung A670 and a A650 at $130 and $30 (total aprox $160) respectively 10 days ago. Verizon is now running a 2 for 1 sale on the A670 for $80. Will Verison honor this special if I return the A650 to get the A670 and a $80 discount ($160 - $80)? Given that I am within the 15 day grace period, I'm assuming that this could be done but not sure. Any advise appreciated. Thanks.

HELP! with v60s custom ringtones, not thru vtext.com?

Hi,

I was wondering is there a way to load custom ringtones onto the motorola v60s phone. I read something somewhere that the file must be in an .imy format? I also read a standard polyphonic .mid ringer is fine. My question is how do I send it to the phone like I can send rings to my v710, verizon can do this thru the vtext.com website for a 1.99 a pop, and there has to be a way to send it without that. I noticed when the tone was received it showed up as "1 New Sound Recieved" but was not stored in the messages inbox on the phone, and was not an attached file on a text message.

Or can you load them thru a program such as BITPIM, or GAGIN, QPST, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Nokia 6015i

Does anyone ahve aclue when it will be in New york VZW stores. One review was pretty good stating volume was higher than the 3589i. Obviously, this is intended for those who just want a phone that works well

Camera Phones

Is Verizon (or any carrier in the the USA) going to be coming out with a useable digital camera on one of their phones that connects directly to the computer through USB. Im talking only around 2 megapixels with a good flash.
