Anyone have an idea why Verizon no longer carries the Kyocera Slider phone? or will a new one come out soon?

Billing date question.

If my billing date is on the 14th is there anyway I can get a phone (Audiovox 9900, $49.99 promo might end the 11th) early w/out incuring major fees? I have no problem staying with VZW and extending the contract but I'd rather not have any extra, unnecessary fees. Any comments would be appreciated.

VZW Employees...Get It Now! Questions

I have the new Audiovox CDM-9900. I am trying to get some games on my phone, but don't know how. The reps in my local store are di*ks! Anyway, what is the difference between the 2 different prices listed? Is it as simple as I think it is? Monthly and Unlimited. If I pay the Unlimited now I only pay once and can play as much as I want whenever I want to.?

Also, does Verizon offer any Mp3 "lyrics" Ringers? If so, what phone do I need and how do I go about getting those instead of the "music" ringers? 😕

Thank you for any help I can get! 😁

Hurricane Help

Because of Frances and Jeanne hitting here within my billing cycle, I had to use my phone a lot more. I have 9 days left and 31 peak minutes.
2 of my friends called their providers and got extra minutes. Sprint gave one 250 minutes for free and a 15% discount.
I called Verizon and the only option was to change to a plan with more minutes but I was told that was pro-rated and I would have to pay $0.45 for 200 minutes in order to get 800 minutes.
When I mentioned what Sprint was doing for its customers, I was also told that Verizon hadn't made a decision on whether to help people out with extra minutes.
I guess it's easy to see who tries harder in the wireless business.

Hi

Hello everyone, im new to this site and to VZW. I will be having a lot of questions soon. Here's my 1st one

Why does VZW ask for a pass word or the last four my social security number? That kinda seems silly.

V710

Is anyone aware of any upcoming manufacturer rebates or drop in price on the Moto V710 besides the instant VZW rebate online/retail? I know its a long shot because its a new phone but just thought I might throw that out there.

Audiovox 9900 didn't work. Alternatives?

I live near the base of a mountain (near Palm Springs) with difficult reception. My LG4400 has performed fairly well, but it is old and the sound quality (incoming and outgoing) is now poor, and battery life is now very short. I upgraded to the Audiovox 9900. The phone did well until I neared my home. Mostly no signal, or very weak signal. I returned the phone. I own a SOHO and deal with elderly clients (I'm a nurse and also travel to some remote areas). My needs: voice quality must be clear, good reception, tri-mode (probably), ability to use with laptop for internet (a Mac using Smith-Micro PowerLink). Very desirable features: good clear speakerphone for car use, ability to transfer calendar contacts from a Palm T3. Camera is opt...

After Cingular ATT merger, how long for VZW to regain #1 spot?

After Cingular completes it's overpayment of AT&T, I would like to hear some predictions on not "IF", but WHEN, VZW will once again regain the #1 wireless spot. Consider VZW's record setting net adds and continuous lead with the lowest churn in the wireless industry (and that includes Nextel). Cingular's higher churn rate and At&t's oh sooo embarrassing performance. Also, think of all of the customer's that will be jumping ship when they actually begin merging!
How long do you think it'll take?
My prediction is by May 2005.

New service with your own equipment?

Hello!

I need to drop AT&T and get Verizon, but I want the LG VX8000 phone that is not out yet. I need to confirm that I can sign up with my own equipment now, then upgrade to the VX8000 when it is released and get the phone discounts that a new user would get at that time. A friend will loan me her old LG TM510 Verizon phone to use until the VX8000 comes out.

I just got off the phone with Verizon's customer service and they said that I can sign up with my own equipment and later upgrade with the same discounts as a new user when the VX8000 is released, but I need something in writing to guarantee that I can do what I plan. I assume that at the time I upgrade to the VX8000, that it would extend the two-year contract from that point. Th...

Lets Try Something

I am in the market for a cell phone... but i noticed something about conversations i have had with any kiosk or store i've gone to..

When i am talking to a Representative about the downfalls of there service, while at there store or kiosk, I automatically get a rebuttal of how another service has larger downfalls.. my rebuttal is that i was talking about there service and standing there talking with them.. Not @ the competitors..

to me a situation like this is bad sportmanship.. can't we converse on a level that does not badger the competitors.. can people take a blow without pointing the finger.. or is this what it will always come down to...

try a new strategy is all i'm asking... when asked about your service, answer with your...

HOW IS THIS FOR A GENIUS CUSTOMER?????

I received a call from this lady who was trying to see when she would receive her mail in rebate. The customer said she JUST realized that she actually has to send in the rebate form to get the check. The customer then proceeded to tell me she had thrown the box for her phone away so she didn't have the UPC code any longer... however she tried to copy the back of her phone several time to get the information but you couldn't read the numbers from the copies at all.
Now this is where it gets good!!!! Instead of just calling customer service to see what could be done, the customer had the BRIGHT IDEA of just sending the whole phone into the rebate company (which isn't a part of Verizon Wireless at all) to get her rebate check!!! All I...

need help picking first cellphone

I just bought a LG6000 from Verizon and I have 15 days to see if I like it. So far I find it a user friendly phone and it has a good track record. But should I trade it in for a Audiovox 9900? Which is a better phone? And is LG a better brand than Audiovox? The camera part of both phones is nice but I want the best overall phone. Please help.
