New User - Question About Mobile Web

Hi all,

My question about using mobile web is that, if I have unlimited nights and weekends, does using Mobile Web during that time actually use my anytime minutes? or is it actually unlimited during this time (after 9:00 and on weekends) since I do have this promotion and Mobile Web uses air-time?

Thanks!

V710 & Bluetooth

My brother who works for VZW here in WA State has a V710 and he told me that VZW had recently worked out a deal somehow so the V710 can have more than one Bluetooth profile so the Bluetooth can be used for more than a hands free operation.

Question...All You VZW EMPLOYEES!

I have been looking into the new Audiovox CDM-9900 that has been re-scheduled to launch a few times. I was in my local store last night and the guy who was "helping" me was a total A 😲 ...I hate knowing that my monthly bill is going into his pocket for horrible service.

Anyway, I've been following this phone and I was sent a copy of the page in VZW's Infomanager (or something) about a September 30th release date. Is this ringing true still? It's an actual document with the phone pictures, features, and all that good stuff...even how to use certain functions and phone numbers of people employees need to contact when they have problems using it.

I'm just wondering because my contract has been up for a good 4 months, and I need a ne...

Calling All Verizon Managers:

Ok let me vent here a bit because I need some advice.
I submitted my resume to the Verizon Wireless Store in Westbury NY and was interviewed by the Manager. what was odd was the first time I had an appointment to see him and I showed up, he was not there and claimed he had no record of someone ever calling me for an interview. Anyway, a week later he spoke with me and after that set up a meeting at the Roosevelt Field store to meet with a second person.
This second person was expecting me to show up at 2 and made me wait 2 hours before he even came out to see me and then interviewed me and spent almost 3 hours with me. We spoke about my successful Department Store retail experience where for the past 2 years I had achieved the President...

Newbie Text Message Question

I've never used Text messaging before so please forgive me because this is probably a very novice question, yet I can't seem to find the answer anywhere on Verizon's website.

Can I TXT message from my phone people who are with other service providers? Most of my family is with Alltel and several friends are T-Mobile and Cingluar customers. If I can text message across service providers does it cost me any more or would this be included in a package?

Thanks for the info...

Need a Job? A Northeast PA VZW dealer needs employees...

Locations needing filled at this time...

Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-barre PA...

If you'd like more details, PM me, and I'll fill you in... We're looking to replace two employees there who just don't seem to want to sell...

Salaried for base, plus commissions, average income for sales associates in the company is 42K a year. Full paid benefits after 90 days... We're the "midwest largest VZW agent, with over 250 employees.

I know this may not be the proper use for this forum, but as far as I'm concerned, If you're smart enough to read phone scoop and participate, you're trainable to be a good VZW rep. I'm highly active in the v710 forum, so please think twice before reporting this to the mods...

Battery

Something odd happened to me today. My battery just drained today from 3 to one bar in just 2 hrs, I made 3 calls not even 3 mins each, Could this had been cuz it was storming really badly outside? I kept checking my phone and it was raining so hard, that my phone kept fluctuating from full reception to only one bar of reception throughout the storm, at one point I had no service for about 5 minutes.

Complaining of the lack of new phones.......

I see many posts here from Verizon customers complaining that the phone selection stinks at Verizon and the lack of new phone introductions.

Why does Verizon not listen to their customers and speed the pace of with new phone releases?

I see phones released by other carriers only weeks after FCC approval.

I have asked this several times with no good explanation.

Is Verizon taking too much from their customer with the lack of return?

-New IN Network expansion starting 9/27/04-

As of Monday 9/27/04 for you to get the larger nationwide free calling area with Verizon to Verizon over the entire network, which is the largest in the United States, (also called IN network) you have to dial *228 if you are on the America's Choice plan.

If you are on the Local digital choice plan you have to change your rate plan to a new one on or after 9/27/04 to get the advantage of the larger Local Verizon to Verizon local IN network free calling.

Expanded In Network

I'm not going to go over details because it hasn't been launched yet and I signed a piece paper when I started my job about disclosing info. But all of you are wrong about the expanded in network coverage area, even you vzw man.

New In Calling area

🙂

So im just curious if anyone has seen the new rate guides? We just recieved them today and according to the maps, everywhere besides roaming is now in-network. This is a huge step for Verizon and will finally silence all the complaining that in-network only works in parts of the network.

You can preview Sirius live online for 7 days with this link;

I have got to say that I love tha dog!

Oh well, I know it is off topic, but thought some of you might enjoy it.

BTW if you do like it you can sign-up here:

Big Problem.....need advice.....

I have a serious issue that I need some expert advice. I have been browsing this site for the last 4 months and have been really impressed with the helpfulness and enthusiasm everyone shows toward questions, and I hope I can get a similar response.

I have verizon and I have been without a signal for the last 36-48 hrs. And I don't mean it's in and out, I mean absolutely NO signal anywhere. I am in the NY metro area and have never previously been without full signal save for the occasions that I am in the middle of a large office building. Granted I do have an old phone (moto t720).
I have been witness to this happening to a friend of mine who was told that verizon occasionally purposefully out dates their phones and refuses service t...

Hey I'm just here for a brief visit

No real comments, except one. Wow, how crazy is that about the in-network supposedly going to be included on the Extended network 😲 . That would be great. But, I gotta say all the controversy over the issue in the past two days. Totally "reckless". Yall, enjoy maybe I will visit again after a few weeks. By yall 😈 .

I concur

As far as what my project manager just told me is that the issue about in-network also being included on extended network service is suppose to launch 09/27/04, and as stated by another supposed vzw rep they stated that the info was already rolled out to his center. We have not gotten anything here yet. Other than the supposed date it goes into affect.

Verizon #2 within three years?

On a poll in howardforums it seems most of the Verizon users in the Verizon Forum will ditch Verizon when the GSM network is built out. I know this is not scientific but it does speak volumes about loyal longtime Verizon users.

this is an interesting thought as I'm guessing Cingular figured this would happen when the GSM network is complete and/or exceeds Verizon.

It seems if both networks were of equal coverage many Verizon customers may favor the selection of phones and pricing of GSM carriers. I would not have expected many users paying Verizon rates only until they can port to a reliable national GSM network. That is inevitable..

What can Verizon do to stay on top when that happens?
