Discounts for 2 year customer?

Hi,

I've had Verizon Wireless since June 2002. However I started with a 1-year contract. I still have it without formally extending it. I called Verizon and the rep said that I'm not eligible for the Every 2 Year discount since I haven't had a 2 year contract. Does anyone know of other discounts that I'm entitled to?

Can I extend my current plan for 2 years (300 minutes, unlimited weekends/nights at 8pm, mobile web for $40) or would I have to choose a new plan?

is nokia 6015 being released by VZW? ny other nokia fone??

Hey evryone..
i got to know that VZW is releasing nokia 6015. i wanted to know when's the probable release date?? also, is VZW releasing any other Nokia fone??
Coz if not, I wanna go ahead and buy the nokia 6015 when it comes out. the 6015 is not as good as 6610 that ws offered by T-mobile..but then i guess it's ok...

INFO IN ONE EAR OUT THE OTHER

🙄 had a customer not to long ago that purchased 2 phones.. she had them about 13 days and came back to the store.. it was apparent that she remembered several things like- #1 15 day worry free gaurantee, #2 UPC codes from box for rebate..However, she did not remember to wait the 15 days before she mutilated the boxes and discarded them.. only keeping the UPC's.. at our location she stood.. demanding a new phone.. mind you we are in a mall location, so we were trying to keep her calm as we attempted to explain what she had done wrong.. regardless of her selective hearing we accepted the phones back.. and issued new phones.. now we have the contents of the boxes and scratched up phones...
The phones are useless to make the money back th...

New Verizon Palm Phones?

Are there any new Palm-based Verizon phones on the horizon, such as the Samsung i500 or i505? The Kyocera 7135 is too big.

Pure Genius

Customer calls in stating that he's having a problem with the internet, thinking he's having issues with our website I go thru some trouble shooting for vzw.com...Customer then advises me that he actually was having problems with his computer and had to clear the hard drive and place everything back on using a recovery disk and no can't access the internet thru his AOL...Me "Sir, unfortunately, as a Verzion Wireless Customer Service Representative I am not going to be able to assist you in getting you AOL working, you are going to want to contact you ISP in order to get this issue resolved...My issue is how was this guy able to get all the way thru our IVR without knowing he was goig to talk to a VZW Rep!?!?!?!?!

Roaming Options: Automatic-A or Automatic-B?

I have a Samsung 530s, and under Roaming Options it lists the following choices:

* Home Only
* Automatic-A
* Automatic-B

Any idea what these mean? The user manual has no info about this whatsoever.

Default was Automatic-B, btw.

Why some "DEALERS" shouldn't be able to sell wireless

Ok check this one out. It just happened to me today.

A woman comes into my store and said she received a call that her cell phone had come in for repair. She told me her name and I checked our repair cabinet. Nothing. No repairs are in stock. I swing over to the pc terminal on my desk and look up her wireless phone number and try to find her in our database. The customer is indeed on VZW but didn't buy her equipment from my Auth Retailer. She remembered that she took her phone down the hall to the Wireless kiosk where she originally bought the equipment.

She goes into a tirade about how the Dealer rep was rude and downright refused to give out a loaner phone. The customer was told that the repair could take 6-8 weeks. VZW CSR told her...

Call Forwarding

I had a woman call in last week stated that she was a customer of T-Mobile. She told me that a week previous to calling me some cx of VZW was accidently having his calls forwarded to her T-Mobile #. She had spent time with tech support discovered who was doing this repeatedly and contacted the cx. Thought problem was resolved, well evidence of her calling back corrected that mis-conception. She told me that this was still happening to her, gave me the cx's mtn (mobile telephone number). She also informed me that the cx understands very little English. So I first called the translator ext. explained the scenario to her, then connected her to the cx. After letting cx know that this was still going on the cx stated to trans. that this was impos...

Longtime ATTWS Customer jumps to Verizon...

Had TDMA service with ATTWS dropped every call (Pittsburgh, PA area). Switched to Verizon (Moto V710) on 9/21, ATTWS sends me a mailing asking me to come back. Call the number to see what kind of deal I could get (9/27). Checked into some of the phones available at ATTWS (GSM), called back today only to find out the deal that was offered to me on 9/27 was no longer valid. Why didn't the ATTWS Rep tell me that the promo was ending this week? She was supposed to give me a call back on 9/28 after I had a chance to check out the phones and never did. It's really too bad, I've been a loyal ATTWS customer for 8 years and got my parents and brother to sign up with ATTWS over a year ago.
So far very happy with my Verizon service, the Moto V710 pho...

A Question

A Verizon advertising insert was in my Sunday paper today. One line in it said "In Calling not available everywhere in the America's Choice Coverage Area". According to the map on Verizon's website, this is not the case. Which is wrong?

What exactly do they do to the phones when they "reflash" them? My brother has had his phone (T730) reflashed like 3 times by now! I don't understand it, it seems like whatever they do it does'nt fix crap! Oh also, can they reflash GSM phones? or is this something that's done only on CDMA phones?

VZW Employees...Another Question!

How long does a New Every Two $100.00 towards a new phone stay good for? I was up for mine in May...I'm starting to hear rumors of 6 months. Is this true? If not, what is the structure on that?

voicemail problems -Need CSR help

my brother in law has a VZW family plan. Fro some reason he is only able to have about three voicemails recorded. His wife is able to have many and never has bumped into this limit. He has told me that he has spoken to VZW and that it never seems to be resolved.

This is the story I have been told. I have never heard of this. Sorry for the sketchy information. It is all I have.

I have never had this problem with my VZW service.

1. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

2. What are the appropriate solutions?

3. If the CSR can resolve this, what should they be doing?

Odd... Why Is EVERYONE On the Verizon forum?

Why is absolutely EVERYONE on the Verizon forum? I know they're the #1 carrier, but not by THIS much- there's over 225 pages of Verizon forum, less than 100 pages each for the Cingular and AT&TW forums, and less than 50 for Sprint or T-Mobile.

Why is everyone on the Verizon forum? It can't all be Verizon people, unless Verizon has about 50% marketshare, which I don't think it does, does it?

Do folks from other carriers just like to hang out on the Verizon forum?

Dropped Calls

I need to ask some advice real quick. When I sell anyone a phone on any of the carriers that we offer at my company, I tell people that they really shouldn't have more than 2-3 dropped calls a month and that if they have more than that they should contact customer service because there may be a problem with thier phone or may be some kind of network issue.

I also tell them that is they live in outlying areas that they will drop more calls, thats just the nature of the beast. Also I tell them that while they are traveling between cities that they are more likely to drop a call vs being in an urban area with multiple towers.

My question is: Is 2-3 dropped calls a month a fair estimate? Should I tell them that they may experience more...
