whats the policy on repairing a phone numder warenty?

my friend has an lg vx10 phone and the warenty expires at the end of september. she brought the phone to a verizon store and they said they can't replace it until they find a similar phone to exchange.
whats the policy on exchanging the phone under warenty? is she limited to the same phone model replacement?

thanks

Can unassigned v710 have normal BT function?

I'm confused... Are all moto 710 phones have clipped BT function or just from Verizon. If second is the true, why not purchase unassigned moto 710 and assign to verizon. Wouldn't this solve the BT being clipped? If this is not possible, is there any way to override their clipping?

Can someone more phone tech savvy answer please?

I've been with Verizon for 1 year as customer and I can't complain of their service. They have great coverage in and out of big cities. However, they are very expensive compared to other carriers like T-Mobile and I'm getting ticked off for having to wait for a BT phone to use with my Mac and Palm, and now to find out about BT being clipped... 👿 😡
I'm looking into switching to T-mobile...
Anyo...

Problem

I have a problem, whenever I use my phone for a long period of time my battery meter goes down! What the hell! I paid good money for this thing and every night I have to charge it! Oh yeah, and sometimes when I don't have my phone on me, I miss a call, why can't Verizon do something about that?

Wow, I never had this problem with _______.

Auto Train

OK, I have a feeling this is complete and utter BS since I live in NJ and have benefited from NJ Transit my whole life, but I digress...

Someone told me that you are no longer able to use your cell phone on the Amtrak Auto Train because it messes with something on the train.

And since I know that is complete crap, has anybody been on it with VZW service? How is it? Are there any dead spots? Last time I was on it I had Sprint.

Extended Network Question

I use VZW in an extended network region because VZW obviously is the best carrier out there. Up until a month or so ago I wasnt able to get a voice mail indicator. Now my indicator works and the "1x" appears at the top of my phone. I thought 1x would only appear in a VZW region? My phone roams off of the Altell tower around here. Does this mean that Altell upgraded their service? Could this be the beginning of the RUMORED Altell/VZW merger? I really do want to know the answers to these questions which means they are not rhetorical to start any rumors. Thanks in advance. 😳

Any Customer Service Q's you got & or some Tech Q's.

I won't claim that I know everything about everything when it comes to wireless services. But, I do know a lot I have worked customer service for 2 different company's, & I have actually have service w/ another carrier that only has service in about 4-5 other cities in the states. I used to work for Sprint PCS for 2 years, & 4 months. Now I work for VZW, been here over a year. The service that I have is Cricket, & I gotta say for me personally Cricket has been awesome. Unlimited local calling, 600 free L.D. minutes per month, got the free 5 (VM, 3way, call waiting, call forwarding, caller ID) plus w/ the new plan I have I get unlimited texting which I have used 1 time, lol. Not much into texting as you could probably guess.
Anyways wh...

Voice Mail Indicator Delay !

If your a VZW customer & you are experiencing severe delays in getting a VM indicator. Call customer service because there is a new & and better platform now being used for that service. As well as there being a setting that can be adjusted on just how long it takes between someone leaving you a message, as opposed to how long it takes before you get the icon.

Seeking advice on chooding a carrier for Metro NY

I'm looking to sign up with a carrier. I live and work in the New York City metropolitan area. 99% of calls will be made in and around the 5 boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. I'm currently with ATT; my wife is now with Verizon. We intend to go with a family plan. We don't need the best phones, but want good quality. My wife wants a camera phone.

Which carrier should we go with? We went to dealers today at ATT, Verizon and Cingular. Cingular seems to have the best deal, and Verizon seems to have the worst deal. For $70/month: 850 anytime rollover minutes on a nationwide basis; unlimited free mobile to mobile (I assume this includes both Cingular and ATT, once the merger goes through); Unlimited nights after...

VZW service quality in Philly?

Hi there,

I have some relatives that recently visited here in Chicago. They happened to have an AWE phone, and they are out of Philly. I asked them if they knew about the merger with Cingular, and they said great, they didn't want to deal with them.

How is the CS out there along with coverage?

Here in Chicago coverage is very good, and cs is above average, the ELGIN call center is pretty reliable.

But the other day I called a diffent CS number and was routed to Pittsburg twice, and they didn't seem to have there stuff together.

Thanks for the insight,

~Brian

A question for the Brightest VZ Service Man

*228 is OTA.... *22890 - I used to use this to program phones as a shortcut until recently when I was blasted by my supervisor. He won't tell me exactly why it's a bad idea to use it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. It seems to be working on customers phones just fine, why not make things simpler and go with the 90 so they dont have to choose an option?

When is PTT coming?

Someone in another forum mentioned 4 new PTT phones coming in October? Is this just a rumor or is there some substance to it?
