I've posted this a couple places elsewere, but with no answers. I just want to know if Verizon allows MP3s, from my SD card, to be played on their phones as a ringtone. I'm former Alltel customer and Alltel never let this happen due to some stupid "anti-piracy" policy.

So can anyone help me out?

I have the LG enV Touch and I can confirm that today there's a $10/25 meg data plan that includes mobile email. I saw this online in My Verizon Account and was able to switch to this data plan (previously I had the $10 plan that didn't include mobile email). I understand that many people are negatively impacted by the plan changes that go into effect today, but this is an example where it works in the customer's favor. I'm pleased to have this feature at no additional cost.

I was wondering if any corporate rep could give me a straight answer. I have a friend who upgraded to a tour on oct. 30 and then did an assumption of liability on the 18th of november. He got a job with verizon this month and wants to cancel his line to get on the employee plan.

He is fine with paying the etf, but when he called in he discovered the aol pushed his early term to 350.

He is ok with the 175, but he just bought a droid for the employee plan, so the 375 is a bit steep, especially since he signed for the 175.

Can anyone clarify this policy for me?

No success tethering Imagio to laptop because Verizonwireless has not released a version of VZAccessManager for this phone and laptops running Windows 7.

Looks like only Blackberry phones have a Windows 7 VZAccessManager.

Device (S2) has issues, two calls to tech support and two store visits (bought in store), most of these during 30 day trial. During 30 day, rep suggested I try Droids, but I said wanted to stick with BB and hoped issues would work out (like magic I guess, duh, but was hoping a planned maintenance software upgrade in Feb would help)). Issues got progressively worse and I blew throw the 30 days (family crisis, air travel) and just got back, sitting at about 5 weeks since bought. What's it like, is camcorder present, is it a diff. processor, is it laggy?

All 3G. I don't know much else at this time, as I no longer work for the company. I have an inside source telling me that by Jan 17 all 3G phones will require some sort of data plan.

I see that Verizon now sells the Casio GZ One Rock. I find it curious that Casio has never released a GZ Two anything. Perhaps no one would call them G Zones if they switched things up.

Alright, since there are a handful of threads talking about the idiocy (or thoughtfulness) of the new data requirements/plans. If you are going to complain/extol those changes, please use one of the other countless threads that are here about it already, or one of the many more sure to follow.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss what we think might be next. I, as well as others, think that this is just the first step in some sweeping changes. Please keep it realistic (as in, it's HIGHLY unlikely that Verizon will match tmobiles plans anytime soon)

My daughter's envTouch (purchased Aug of 2009) broke and was replaced this weekend under the warranty (not insurance). Is there now a warranty on the replacement? If so, it is just for the remainder of the year from when she bought the phone or from date of replacement? There's a noticeable crack at the top of the phone but otherwise it works just fine. I'm sorry if this has been covered here already, but I just don't remember seeing it. Thanks.
