I Think It Is Funny...

...that I was talking about the Unlimited offerings as an example and it plays a key role in these new offerings. I also think that there is a strong likelihood that AT&T will have a response the same day like they did before. They have to protect themselves from customers churning just as they did February 2008.

Saygus Vphone Brings Video Calling to Android at CES 2010

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awElKQ1H6XU »

I believe Verizon is stringing this guy along. The Vphone can act as a Wi-Fi hot-spot connecting to up to eight devices. Anyone believe Verizon will approve it without restrictions?

So.......

I was in the quandry of upgrading my phone a few months early...You know 3 months before my contract ends. I got the Droid Eris which I didnt like, So I brought it back and got a refund. Then I decided that maybe I should look into the Motorola Droid which has a slide out keyboard and then figured nah....So I then decided that the Storm 2 is the way for me to go....But truth is, I am not sure what I want...I am the worst kind of cellphone customer cause I have large fingers so cant really do touch screen phones all too well...I think I'm gonna wait til my official upgrade which is in march!!

Motorola Droid Freezing

Question...I have a Motorola Droid and LOVE IT....however am curious if anyone else is having issues with freezing? VZW just did an exchange for another new one because it was turning off and not turning on (had to take battery out), it was also download apps after a wipe that I had previously installed.

Now after 3 days with the new one it keeps locking up on me and I just had to do a battery pull.

Is this a known software issue? Am I doing something?

any insight is appreciated

thanks all

Something is coming.

My mole tells me there's something coming in conjunction with the new data requirements on January 18. Something important enough that the company is waiting until this weekend to train its employees on it. Even my friend in the business couldn't tell me what it is.

I can only speculate as to what it could be, but security is tight surrounding it.

I've Been Advocating This...

I recently posted that they might as well drop their unlimited talk option to $59.99 or $69.99 since they allow Google Voice. I thought Sprint should do at least a $69.99 unlimited talk option and a $79.99 or $89.99 unlimited talk and text option and have posted such. Glad to see VZW who has never been the discount carrier launch something like this.

LTE usage-based pricing

Well, I've been smelling the blood in the water for months, but here's the first hard evidence:

http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/verizon-envision ... »

Verizon Wireless likely will introduce a usage-based pricing model when it launches its LTE network in commercial markets later this year, a Verizon executive said, lending credence to the idea that wireless carriers will increasingly adopt the model in the future.
The pricing paradigm likely will shift because there will be so many devices that run on the LTE network that customers will not buy in Verizon's stores, Verizon Communications CTO Dick Lynch said. Instead, the company will probably introduce a pricing scheme in which customers will

VZ Access Manager for Android Devices

I was just browsing vzam.net and I see there is still no VZ Access Manager available for the Droid or Droid Eris? Is Verizon content to allow Android users to use PDA.net?

Question about stores

So me and a friend go into the corporate store yesterday to upgrade. We know what we want before we walk in. I'm wanting the Rock, he's wanting the touch pro 2. We go in and um they've got the droid, eris, imagio, 2 blackberries, a rouge and some lg then 3 netbooks and 4 aircards and that's it. So we ask about the phones we want and they tell us they are only available online. Do all corporate stores have that crappy of a selection? If so what in the heck's the point of going to a store to purchase your phone?

CDMA iPhone may finally ship on Verizon in summer 2010

What do you guys think? ๐Ÿคจ

It's the rumor that won't die. After sitting on the sidelines while the iPhone drove up subscriber count and average revenue per user for AT&T over the past three years, Verizon may be getting a CDMA version of Apple's successful smartphone this summer. That is, as long as Apple and Verizon can agree on pricing.

Apple has launched the iPhone on multiple carriers in many parts of the world, and has noted success in countries where it is available from more than one carrier. However, when the iPhone first launched, Apple had to make a long-term exclusivity deal with AT&T to get the phone to market. The original deal was for five years, though it is believed that that deal was renegotiated when the

couple questions about current verizon phones

Ok, i dont know if this is the right place for this, and if not, i apologize ahead of time. But I am currently a college student and am now eligible for upgrade (currently have the original alias and part of a family plan), but any phone that looks to be more than just a basic phone, now seems to have a required $30 data plan (or soon will).

i dont like having buttons on the outside of the phone because i had the original enV, and it always hit buttons unless i waited 7 seconds to put it back in my pocket. all i use my phone for is texting and calling, thats basically it, so a data plan is of no use to me...

so does anyone know if they plan on releasing any new phones anytime soon, or if i need to find an old lg dare or something...

TP2 and 6.5 out now. Can it be true?

I just found this link http://www.pcdphones.com/phone_downloads.aspx ?bid=128&cid=1&mid=356&carrier=Verizon that appears to be the WinMo 6.5 upgrade for VZW Touch Pro2.

Is it really the offical release? I may have to run down to VZW and grab me a TP2!
