Between the Samsung U620 and LG Chocolate 2

Hey guys i need an overall opinion on these 2 phones. Im not big on music but i just want a slider phone that does text/talk and going on email (yes i have connect plan.) Personally it seems to me the Samsung phone is better. But whats your opinion? I already had a few chocolates but they gave me some problems.

Verizon's America's Choice Plan--i think i was tricked. Can i get back on it?

I had America's Choice from 2003-2009. At the beginning of 2009 I did not upgrade my phone, but I received an offer for the Nationwide plan. I asked the CSR if what is the difference and he said, nothing really. In fact it's better, data is now $1.99/MB. I rarely used data on my Kyocera 7135, but under AC I think I had data coming out of my minutes of use. Well, recently, my kid was playing with my phone and clicked onto the data and come to find out that I'm being charged $0.015/kb (or, $15.36/MB when you factor $0.015 x 1024 kb = 1 MB @ $15.36).

I called VZW and they said that since I have a PDA phone, I cannot receive the $1.99/MB rate. I feel totally duped!

What can I do? Is there any way to get back on the America's Choice c...

Need New Phone (Doesn't Everyone)

Nothing elaborate - just looking for a good phone that only needs to act like a phone. I don't care about the camera and I don't care about music (well, I love music - just don't care about it for my phone). I saw the new Motorola 766 online - but since it has no ratings or reviews I am a little leery jumping in. But that seems like the type of phone we need (texting is down on the list as well).

Phone prices

I have a question. Why is the retail of cell phones so insanly expensive? They retail at nearly 420 dollars. I am aware that they do a lot and are realy neat. But for within less than 80 dollars more. We can purchase a playstation3 and the WII system together for for the retail of 1 cell phone costs. Or an I Touch and some play system. These days lap top computers even retail less than that or about it.

OMNIA 2 or Touch Pro 2?

Hi, I am planning to get a new WMP 6.5 phone as soon VZW make 6.5 available.

Although I like the TP2 and been waiting for it, the new Omnia 2, looks damn good.

Pls correct me, but it seems to have better screen (brighter, higher rez). Better camera and video. And of course it's lighter and thinner.

Besides the slideout keyboard what would I be missing by passing on TP2, vs the O2?

Thanks very much,

Question about STORM and Replacement

Ok I have had the storm since December 2008, and since then I've had 6 replacements. All for software issues.

I had it replaced today because of audio issues, I couldn't hear people when making or receiving calls and vise versa.

I actually don't want the phone anymore, I called customer service and they told me "oh well" in so many words. I just want a phone that works, I've been with VZW for years and never have I had this many issues with a phone.

What should I do? keep in mind I would rather stay with Verizon than Cancel and go somewhere else. I can upgrade in December but can I forfit the upgrade to have this replaced with something that works. I need a stable phone.

Verizon phones are tough.

Me and a bunch of friends went walking down by the river last night. A mile downt he trail, the bottom fell out and it was flash flooding (no joke). We got back to the car, and my storm worked just fine. It was really wet but worked fine. So did my friends Alias 2, enV3, enV touch, Krave, and Touch Pro 2. They all were wet, but worked fine and they still do this morning. My friends (2) who have(had) AT&T, there phones went into paper weight mode. Luckly, they were geting Verizon this weekend sometime so it wasn't a big loss to them. 😁

Verizon To Launch HTCImagio October 6th Android Powered HTC Predator To Follow

It looks as though T-Mobile subscribers will have two big reasons reasons to rejoice come November 11th, but they’re not the only ones with cause for celebration in the near future. Let’s not forget that Windows Mobile fans around the world will have a reason to party well ahead of that; in fact, one of our trusty ninjas has just added to the Windows Phone fray with the juicy tidbit that on October 6th — the day Windows Mobile 6.5 devices lift off globally — Verizon Wireless plans to get in on the action with the HTC Imagio. Codenamed Whitestone and previously mistaken for the Touch Diamond2, the Imagio features WinMo 6.5 along with a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB ROM/256MB RAM, a...

Just had an interesting cux switch

so i had a cux come in just now with a broken hand wanting to switch carriers. So as we were doing the switch they were telling me about how cricket drops their calls every 5 min even with full bars on the service indicator. Apparently the other day 15 minutes of talk tim took over an hour, the last time the call dropped the cux proceeded to punch the wall in anger, not realizing the part of the drywall in which they punched had the stud located behind it, breaking their hand in 3 places. Now the cux has to have orthopediac surgery. This i am sure will be costly. Moral of the story, cheap service = frustration and long term unforscene expenses.
