Any reason to stay on my plan?

Hey all, I'm currently on the AMERICA'S CHOICE II 450 with Unlimited night and weekends and the $15 text option for $58. (Corporate discount). I am going to get a new phone, and was thinking the Envy3 or a "internet" phone. According to the website, it says I need to change my plan for the E3, but I read that the website always tells you that, even if you don't really need to.

My question is, is there anything in my plan that is better than the Select plan, which would push me toward the E3. I've kind of wanted to get a "Internet" phone for a while, but the data rates always kept me away.

If not, and I go with phone for which data is needed, is there any point in going for the Select over the Connect? The select has the $10 data pack,...

New Phones?

Hello all...I just received a letter from Verizon stating that I am eligible for upgrade. So, I looked through the cell phone list on the Verizon website and nothing really caught my eye. Don't get me wrong...I know there are some good phones on there, but nothing that really appeals to me. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if Verizon is going to release any new phones sometime soon? Thanks in advance!

Possibilities

Hello all I am the owner the the Env Touch. When I watched the video for the phone Eric Zeman was talking about the 2 hideous themes on the phone. And was saying more themes could be purchased from verizon. I was hoping that this is true. Does anybody know? If it is poss to purchase other themes for the phone what is the process? Thanks everyone for your help.

Alltell unlimited texting to My Circle plan

See below. Can someone explain why Alltell would be taking action like this without VZW doing so first? Just curious.

Thanks.

"Already positioning itself as one of the few wireless carriers in the US to offer two year pricing on phones for one year contracts, Alltel is adding some special features to select My Circle plans. If you're a customer and have a $79.99 My Circle plan or higher, you will automatically get unlimited text, video, and picture messaging to your My Circle numbers and to other Alltel Wireless customers. Not too shabby at all during these tough economic times. Paul Bowersock, Senior Sales & Operations Leader, goes on to say that “these customers and their families are value-oriented and are looking for the b...

3 Android Phones for Verizon Wireless

We know about the HTC Desire and Motorola Shoals. Has anyone heard of the new HTC Android headed to Verizon Wireless? It's calls the HTC Passion. It's said to be out in Q4... I wonder if this could be a 4G HTC Android phone? That would be amazing!

Any word on a replacement for the Boulder?

With Casio discontinuing the Boulder, we are left without a waterproof phone (which in my area is a pretty high demand capability in a phone) Does anyone have any word on what they're developing to replace it?

Is this some sort of scam?

So I’ve received several messages on my home phone from VZW. They tell me to call between such & such hours Monday-Friday about my wireless account. So I call and am prompted for my “10 digit mail box number.”
I do nothing, and then I’m prompted for my “password.” Still do nothing…”Log in incorrect.”
The number I’m told to call is 1.800.754.0961 the caller ID says out of area.
So I call VZW, “What’s up with my account, I got a message to call you guys?” Ah, nothing…in fact you have a credit and there’s no tags saying anybody’s called you.
So am I paranoid or what?...

HTC Touch Pro2 in stores when?

I called VZW customer service today and asked when the TP2 might be in stores. The rep I spoke with said it was already shipped out and should be in those stores that are going to get it. My local store - a corporate store, Kansas City area - does not have the TP2 yet, nor do they know when they will have it. Any VZW personnel know when this is going to be in stores? I know I can order it online, I just want to get hands on one for a little while at the store without going through the order & return it headache if it turned out I didn't like it.

Thanks.

Verizon's new "enhanced media" pricing

So the Rogue fits this classification of course but my question is about the Env touch. I know it will not be subject to the fees but I am curious the reason. Is the difference because the Rougue will offer push email or what?

What's the hold up with Android handsets with VZW?

Would someone speculate as to why it is taking so long to get an Android device on VZW? Once again VZW is falling behind and missing an important handset that consumers want.

I got a VZW prepaid phone as a back up "home" phone.

I got the basic Samsung Smooth, and surprisingly, it is a very nice phone, and it doesn't feel that basic!

I finally have reliable phone service I can fall back one without having to sprint for a landline!

Samsung rogue?

I'm looking at possibly upgrading to a "multimedia phone". Right now I have the original enV.

I'm looking at upgrading to the connect pacakage so there is no worry about the new monthly "enhanced media phone" charges.

Basically from all I can find and read right now the new Rogue is hands down the best of the multimedia phones offered on Verizon.

Anyone care to comment if they have one?? Or if you think I'm wrong I'd love to know the reasons why.

This can't be true can it?. . .

I was reading this article on CNET's News.com website, and well anyway, check out this paragraph:

Previously, Verizon Wireless subscribers who wanted to use a data service with their regular cell phone, would either pay $1.99 per kilobyte of data. Or they could sign up for Verizon's VCast VPak service for $15 extra a month to get access to video clips, sports highlights, news updates, and unlimited e-mail and mobile Web usage.

This is true it is, "$1.99 per kilobytce"? That's gotta be megabyte, Verizon isn't really THAT greedy are they?

Question for Corporate Reps

I work for a Premium retailer. We can basically only process upgrades (for discounted pricing) if a customer goes 20 months on their contract, or if they are on a high end plan that qualifies for an annual upgrade.

I know that corp reps can do something called an "exception" upgrade, but I don't like bringing this up to customers because 1) I'm not actually sure what the criteria is, and the last thing I want to do is tell people to call in when they are nowhere close to eligible (I hate shoveling my problems off on someone else) 2)if I do send them there, and I have the wrong info, I look like just another "salesman" who barely knows anything but how to take your money.

I just had a customer in my store that was not eligible for upgr...
