Okay maybe I've been living under a rock here. I called customer service and was told that the NE2 Credit has gone down from $100 to $50? When did this happen? I was also told that I can upgrade now at an upgrade price even though the NE2 date isnt until 3/2010. Whats going on with THE BIG RED V

So I have been reading posts in the AT&T forum and have decided that I tired of throwing my money away. I also find it disrespectful that AT&T employees are rude and will not admit there is a problem with service even though there are several people in there complaining about service issues.

Here's what I currently have.

I have to have email. My friend had the storm and said it was not a good phone for business professionals. What would be a good device. Does verizon have a phone with full internet capability like the iPhone S?

I was wrong about AT&T, i really do like there phones. but I have been getting a lot of drop calls. And my coverage has been lacking lately. I do real estate, and this is the only income i have and I go to school. I lost 3 house sales. 1 customer called but it went to voicemail, I did not get the voicemail, 1 called but i had no service where the area i was at so the deal was gone.. last one.. haha my phone kept " searching for signal" I rebooted the iphone hell took out the sim and put it in the nokia N97 that i have, still says searching for signal, i called AT&T and i run in not 1 but 2 ignorant customer service reps. i hung up and the 3rd was really helpful.

AT&T has been good, but i really need the coverage, I'm looking at T-mobile ...

This is my second Tour the first had a trackball issues and callers telling me they weren't able to hear me. I went to a Verizon store and they gave me a Brand New one out the box. I now notice that the second Tour I have recieved has two dead pixels. Is that enough to get another replacement because it is kind of annoying. But I really dont want to be a bother. 👀

The Chaos Computer Club has told the FT (Financial Times) that in the couple of months it will be releasing code capable of cracking GSM with just a laptop and an antenna.

In comments made to the German edition of the Financial Times, the hacking group claims that governments, and criminals, are already using the technique which can break the encryption used to protect 2G GSM calls in near-real time using existing systems. Just thought I would point out I was on Mt. Mitchell yesterday (highest point in the south east) and my Tour was working flawlessly. And this is off the Blue Ridge parkway and they DO NOT put towers on the federal land. I know for a fact no one else works up there cause my boy Wills SE on at&t was only good for a music player and my other friend has US Cellular and no go either (they use Sprint and some Vz).Its gnarly and remote if I fell and needed help they where just a phone call away 🙂

When all the AT&T fanboys talk about Verizon Wireless is beating AT&T Wireless just because they bought out Alltel. AT&T Wireless wouldnt even be close if Cingular and AT&T Wireless never merged. Any thoughts?????

I just spoke with a VZW cust service rep regarding their PDA/Smartphones, NOT Blackberry's, regarding the requirement to order a data plan if you order online (probably in a store also?). I was [B]PLEASANTLY SURPRISED [/B]that after I pushed the rep on the issue she stated that she spoke with tech support and they [B][U]can block data and I would NOT need to pay the monthly data plan fee[/U][/B].

Can anyone tell me what auto-append and recapture do in the XT9 options are?

Also, is there any way to truly disable the auto-capitalize first letter of each sentence ... even when this option is chosen, the first letter is always capitalized (this seems to be true of all PDAs and Smartphones that I've used). Also, are there any known issues with wraparound not working?

Ok, so Verizon really wants me to upgrade my vx8600, and I guess it's about time. I mainly just call and text, since that's really all this old phone can do.

I was thinking of going with either the Alias2 or Ev3, but was also thinking of maybe making the jump to full data, but not sure I really want to pay for it, or if it's worth it yet. Thoughts?

I've been looking for any general research or lists of CURRENT Fall 2009 phones that are superior in signal strength. My mom's phone is due to upgrade next month and I'm looking to find a phone for her that would be good. She texts, pix & flix. She has plenty of signal at her home to do those things with ease. But to actually carry a conversation can be difficult. She usually has about 2 or 3 bars, and it cuts in and out.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on phones that might have a stronger singal in the newer phones? I was looking at the Samsung u810 Renown. I thought maybe with the cdma and the gsm option it might work better? Thank you so much for any help!!!

I need help/advice, and not sure which way to turn or who I can get to help me! And I need to speak to someone who actually has a clue about getting a customer issued bill credits, and what the rules/regulations are when it comes to issuing them.

Start saving your pennies now folks, this phone looks like a major improvement over the original storm. Below is a link to a video review of the hardware. I think they are pushing this phone in the right direction, and Im definitely excited to see how it functions whens its released.
